I never really heard of that abuse to foster children is very common, I think that is very sad. These days they check the fosterparents really good before they let them be fosterparents. The Gov't has TOOOO much say in what goes on in my household as far as being a parent. I know laws are to protect those children who are abused but discipline in homes is not abuse in some of those homes. 2. Schools also have too much control over children. Why do I have to justify my child missing school. Thats a bunch a ...... if my child has the stomach flu, I am not wasting a copay for my dr to instruct me to give clear fluids. I also discovered that some good lectures could be as effective as the hand on the butt. Another tactic I found to be very effective was to have a child that required the butt therapy to go get a switch for their punishment. I heard some heart cleansing repentance come from them before the switch was applied. And then I would often times cry with them when the spanking was over, and reassured them that daddy loves them.
