Yeah, you can use the 'search' feature in the upper right hand corner of the screen. It's an excellent tool. You might want to revive one of those other topics.

As for me, I can't figure out why those who claim they have this "Baptism of the Spirit" feel the need to make sure everyone else has it too. It's like a mission or something. At least, that's what it seems like to me.

I don't believe in any such thing, other than the definition meaning "filled with the Spirit", which I believe all Christians should strive for. So, I probably wouldn't be taking part in the topic.

I disagree with this initial statement. Although I have not read the entire article, this opening statement caught my eye right off. In my opinion, teachings concering the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is not one of the most important. The essential matters concering sin, salvation, the blood of Christ, death, resurrection, and being built into (and up into) the Body of Christ, are far more important. Some things are too stressed by believers today. We cannot stress the essential matters enough.

I recommended read whole teaching, because it is very interesting and it is not regulary teaching of this matter, but very interesting.

Author Jari Iivanainen has wrote it very wisely, go and read it all.

Jesus Christ is The one who baptizes us in The Holy Spirit, and that makes it of utmost importance. He told the Apostles to tarry until they recieved power from on High before they started to minister, that makes it doubly important. We all know that it is The Holy Spirit who uses people to do the miracles that Jesus said would follow those who believe by hearing the Gospel. And this adds to the importance of this aquisition. Then we have The Scripture that says we will ve filled with the fullness of The God Head.

So There can be no doubt that it is just as important as anyother facter in the completion of our pilgrimage.

Nobody is getting shot down, Neb, Only the topic. These sorts of subjects only cause strife and get brother sniping at brother. Like I said it's a treadmill that goes round and around and you cant change some people's opinion anyway.

For Jesus's disciples it is not a matter of anything other than proclaiming Truth as Written by God. If that Truth is heard with an open ear, The Holy Spirit will lead those in error to an awareness of the error, and lead them on into confession askinf for, and receiving forgiveness, and true repentance(change of heart) which will result in a new walk on the narrow path that leads to the straight gate.
