I wanted to stop in and recommend this book, it's called 23 minutes in hell. It was writen by a guy named Bill Wiese. In the book christ took him to hell, and removed the knowledge of god and that he was a christan from his mind. This man expirenced hell for 23 minutes and goes in and tells you what he saw and felt and the whole nine yards. He explains why christ took him there.

If you are a non believer then I beg you to read this book, go out and buy a copy of it. The one thing he makes a point of bring up or making you ask your self is are you willing to bet your soul on the idea that there is no god, or that christ is not real. Cause if your wrong (and you are) and you die your going to be in a really bad place were there is no escape from. You will be there for all of eternity. So I beg you to read this book.

If you have been saved then you to should read this novel, for two reason. The first is to remove any misconceptions you have of hell. The second is so that you can maybe pass this information off to others, give them this book and let others who have not been saved read it. I plan on giving it to my friend and roomate cause he says hes going to hell all the time, I used to joke around about it all the time, its not funny any more, for o so many reason.

Please every one pick this book up and read it. Maybe it will change your life and maybe it won't, only you can decided that. However I just want every one of you to hear the truth. I want every one to know so they don't end up in hell, cause it will be for eternity and it will be more awful then you can possably imagin.

I can only say that I thank Christ for giving his life to spare mine, so that I don't have to go there.

There is an excerpt from the book on Beliefnet. You can read it here: http://www.beliefnet.com/story/188/story_18811_1.html

It basically talks about the authors first experiences in hell. Now, after reading it, I think that most psychologists would attribute the author's experience to a psychotic episode. Possibly a severe form of acute Schizophrenia or Schizophreniform disorder. Basically, many times hallucinations are based in religious beliefs. They can involve all senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste and so on), and many times the person who experienced them believes that there was a meaning behind their experience, usually based in their religious beliefs.

Hallucination = I went to hell and experienced all the torments of it.

Delusion = I went to hell and experienced those torments because I was chosen by God to experience them and share my experience with others.

Delusions in combination with hallucinations = some form of Schizophrenia.

Thank you for recommending this book

There are doctors who have been operating on patients, the patient's heart stops. The doctors work hard to get the heart going again. The patient is back, the patient screams something like don't let me go back there. I have heard of doctors who have had patients who have experienced death on the table and DO NOT believe the patient has hallucinated, but rather they now have a belief in hell and do not want to go there themselves. They also have had had patients who have experienced heaven. Because they have seen this some doctors turn to Jesus because they want to go to heaven when they die.

Those who want to call these out of body experiences, or deaths as hallucinations just want to try and prove there is no heaven or hell or God even. It never ceases to surprise me that many athiests that face a death situation, their plane is going down or such, all of a sudden call on God. Everyone in their heart knows there is a God, but not all will admit it.

While I understand were your coming from forrestkc there is some flaw in your logic. The first and biggest one is that this guy had no mental illness of any kind before or even after said event. He only had the experince twice. The first time was for 23 minutes the second time was only for a few seconds, and he asked for god to show him again, afterwards he asked god never to show him ever again.

Now Schizophrenia doesn't work like that, Hallucinations don't work like that, Delusions don't work like that. If he experinced these things because of a mental breakdown then there would have been more two it then just that, it would have continued on in some form or fashion. There other factors that your not taking in to account, the first being all the connections he has made sense with people have have seen the samething he has. The other is that there is a hell, its in the bible.

Now let say for right now that none of what he expirence was real, that it was all in his head or he made it up one or the other. The fact is that he describes hell the same way that the bible does but takes it to the next level. Now if all that is drawn from the bible with him filling in the gaps if you will then how much worse will hell actually be. Cause I can tell you that if he used his own imagination to fill in details then it will be 1,0000 times worse then he described it, because human mind can't even grasp how awful it will be.

Now lets say he's telling the truth (which one I think he is, and two you don't know that it really did happen as he said it did) yet even as he explains every thing he saw and felt, smelled it almost seemed as if he was trying to find the right words to really describe it, that it was really hard to in cap it in to words how bad it really once. He explained it the best way he could. Yet his description of hell is truely frighting, and if he underscored it because he can't ever truely convy what he saw and felt and heard, then that means hell will be so much worse.

I can only say please read the book, and make up your mind for your self. There is no harm in just reading. I hope that any one who actually reads it will walk away changed or at least more informed then they were before, or both. If it helps others turn there life over to christ then even better.

We had a discussion on the Boards last year about a similar incident, only in that case it was a guy who spent a few minutes in heaven. I didn't buy that and I don't buy this. I'm not saying this man didn't experience something, but everything we need to know about hell or heaven, for that matter, is spelled out for us in the Word. Hell doesn't have a revolving door or a guest pass. Is G-d's plain, revealed truth not enough?

Although I posted the link, I can't vouch for the authenticity of such claims. I haven't watched or listened to them myself.

Is G-d's plain, revealed truth not enough?

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Hell is real and I believe God wants all to know it without a doubt. Even if someone is allowed to experience it so that they share with many who dont believe. God's love for us is far greater than our minds are capable of understanding.

I did watch the video and I believe him....he's pointing others to Jesus Christ, doesn't make sense to me that he would lie in order to do that.

Toward the end of the video he said something that broke my heart, I personally knew what he was speaking about. He said that Jesus allowed him to experience just a part of His love. He said he could feel Jesus pain as many were falling into hell. I've shared it here before that I've experienced that type of sorrow and it never leaves me, but causes me to share the truth with others. Sin causes love to experience pain. God is love, why does he hate our sin? Because he loves us and it breaks His heart when we choose sin over Him.....yes even His own children (myself included) at times choose sin over Him. :stong:

In the end sin will be removed along with those who love it more than God, only love will be left for us to experience....God is love. :whistling:

You can have no prior history of mental illness, have a couple of psychotic episodes, and go the rest of your life without having another one. That is very symptomatic of acute schizophrenia.

Moreover, hallucinations often deal with the individuals religious beliefs, and they can be so surreal that one cannot fully comprehend or express their experiences later.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
