Speaking of number (math) -

Did anyone notice that Dec. 21, 2012 comes out to 12 21 2012? Or the European way, 21 12 2012?

Weird, huh?

and if you add them up you get the number 10. Doesnt the number 10 represent completion. spooky huh... :33:

sorry I missed a 1...LOL.. ;)

It actually adds up to be 11.. There is nothing spooky about that date. :noidea:

:laugh::huh:

Don't worry....I'm mathematically challenged too! :noidea:

P.S. How could you hate math???????????????? I don't get it!!!! :wub:

I don't know, it just never liked math class. Always liked history, life sciences, and english much better. Then, as it happens, I use algebra (at least a form of it) in my job all the time. Today, my biggest complaint about Algebra is in High school they really don't focus on the aspects of it your going to use in many careers.

What do you focus on, as far as algebra is concerned? (Sorry to be tangential on my own thread! :emot-hug: )

Well, I work as a Systems Admin / Developer, so its mostly algorithms.

This probably wont mean anything to you, but stuff like this:

Try

// Copy the data from one stream to another

while not FromStream.EOF

//Make Sure Backup has not been aborted

If QuitBackup = True Then

Exit Sub

End If

//Build Destination File

ToStream.Write(FromStream.Read(131072))

i = i + 131072

kbi = i / 1000

//Calculate Progress

If lngCounter <= kbi Then

intProgressCounter = intProgressCounter + 1

frmBackupRunning.pbarCurrentFile.Value = intProgressCounter

i = 0

End If

//Throttle CPU Usage

App.BackupThread.Sleep(CPU_Usage)

wend

Unless you have some experience righting code you probably wont be able to read that, but I still bet you can tell there is a lot of math in that loop. :wub:

Clearly, the whole thing is ridiculous... the world has already ended, and we are just the dreams of cosmic dust. Duh!

I'd say I'm a child of the 80's, but since that's just part of the dust's imagination, I guess I don't have an answer for it.

It actually does make sense. :wub: Part of being a math major was taking computer science as well. I HATED that class, btw... :emot-hug:

I think that Romans 8 gives us some insight into this:

For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God's sons to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to futility--not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it--in the hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God's children. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now. (Romans 8:19-22)

I believe this teaches that all of creation was effected by man's fall. It doesn't speak specifically about animals dying but it shows creation groaning in anticipation for the finality of redemption in its full manifestation.

yeah that is some good scripture...but I am not sure if it clears the question if there was death of animals prior to adam's sin. I believe there was because God told Adam that plants and animals were for food, which was pior to sin. Therefore there must have been death of plants and animals. I wonder if there are any other scriptures that cover this.

Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to all birds of the heavens, and to every creeper on the earth which has in it a living soul, every green plant is for food. And it was so.

Maybe we should start a new tread since this is off of subject.

There was no death of animals before Adam's sin. Do you really think that our holy sinless and perfect God would create a world that had death disease and suffering in it, and then place Adam on top and call it 'good' ?

How else do you explain that all the dinosaurs buried under millions of years of lays of earth.

This proccess could have taken millions of years. Remember time is not a factor to God. A millions of years to us could be like a day to God.

This means that dinosaurs died before Adam sinned. According to the Bible death and disease were the result of man's sin. So now you have death before sin, which is totally contradictory to the Bible.

Actually there had to have been death in order for man to take it. There had to be knowledge of good/evil for man to take it. Before man took in the forbidden fruit...God was man's good. Death IN MAN resulted from man's initial sin. But death was already working in the universe...guess who the culprit is.

This post made absolutely no sense to me. Would you mind clarifying?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
