Authors don't make a living, if their books aren't good.

Ending up of the New York List of Books is a great place to be. It sells your books. Yes, you make money. I wish I could write so well that I could supplement my income.

Semi-factual? Bugging the plane of the AntiChrist? Bugging his offices? My goodness, Nicolae Carpathia acts more like Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heroes than the devil incarnate!

No where in the bible does it say that a Christian cannot be wealthy...so what they made money off the books. There have been hundreds of people that have come to a saving knowledge of Christ through these books so God was glorified in the making of this piece of fiction littered with the Truth. I have all but the Glorious Appearing and that will be added as soon as it comes out.

Oh, and BTW...the Glorious Appearing is NOT... I repeat....NOT the last book in the series. They are going to continue on with the series. I don't know where they are going to go with it, but they plan to keep going. They said so in my e-news letter from Left Behind.com:

In our last poll we asked if you thought Glorious Appearing would be the last book in the series. Twenty-five percent said yes, 16 percent said no, but nearly 60 percent said you sure hoped it wouldn't be the last one! Well, your wish is granted. Be sure to read, "What Will the New Year Bring?" below, where we fill you in on what's happening in the next three months that will excite Left Behind fans!

There's much more to come. Stay tuned!

Sincerely,

Marty White and Jill Meier

for the LeftBehind.com team

There's still a prequel and a sequel to come!

REally Rose its not the last? Wonderful. I like the series. I look forward to reading even more.

Eric why are you so cynical? Sure these books made the authors money but when you work don't you want to be paid too? I personally know at least one person who was led to christ after reading the series and I do not see the harm if it leads someone to wanting to find the truth. Yes its fiction, so what so is Santa clause and the easter bunny. It is well written and with enough excitement to keep those of us interested in whats going on. No I know its not fact it is a work of fiction but its a good one.

Hey P,angel I like being cynical about the likes of LaHaye. I dont read about santa claus or the easter bunny either. When I want to know about the birth, the death, the resurrection and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, I read it it from a reliable source, to wit, the Holy Bible. That way you get the real truth. Hal Lindsey made a few bad predictions too, but people still read his books. Besides I haven't read a novel for over thirty years and the last one if I remember rightly, was about Larry and Stretch and that was all fiction. Lies and truth just dont mix, they only confuse.

No and there is nothing wrong with making lots of money, as long as it's done truthfully, ask old Sun Myung Moon, he's allegedly, made hundred of millions, and some I might add by propping up certain some so-called christian programmes and there's not a bigger deceiver and liar in the world than Moon and he's still conning people.

However to each his ownI suppose, but I will stick to the facts thank you.

We all have a rignt to state our opinions.

I enjoy these books. I think it was great when Tsion Ben-Juah was added to the script. This man was in his early 50's. He was a former rabbinical scholar and Israel statesman. He revealed his belief in Jesus as the Messiah on international TV. His wife and two teenagers were murdered. He escaped to the US. He was a former spiritual leader and teacher of the Trib Force. He is teaching the Jewish remnant at Petra; cyberaudience of more then a billion daily.

It was thanks to this character Tsion Ben-Jush, that I started to research Prophecy. I have a much better understanding today, then what I had before I started to read these books.

Personaly, I would say this book series in more of a threat to the Jews, then the movie, The Passion of the Christ.

There are a lot of reasons to read books, and if you limit yourself to only the bible you are missing some of the most pleasurable experiences around. A good book is much better than any movie, especially if it is well written. Some may not like the left behind series, but I have found them to be good reading. You can't approach them from the same direction as the bible, they are just novels.

Other One and snowdoove if you enjoy this series of these books, fair enough, I never said you shouldn't read them, but as you both stated, they are only fiction and should IMO only treated as such. My fear is for those who are new in the Lord and treat them as truth. For instance someone mentioned that someone esle was lead to the Lord through either reading a book or viewing a video, forget which. Now this where I ask the question of motive for seeking the Lord. Where they seeking Christ to make Him them their life while they are on the face of the earth or were they seeking Him to save them from eternal damnation. Are they saing praise the Lord I'll be caught up in the rapture (if there is a pre-trib one) and I'll miss going to hell, or are they shouting thank you Lord for giving me life.

Now if LaHaye is right and there is a rapture and all the saints will be taken before the trib and those that miss the rapture will have a second chance, there is no harm done. But what happens if there is no pre-trib rapture and all those who believe LaHaye find themselves floundering around in the tribulation. Dont you think that they will feel deceived and fall away from their faith? Because I do.

As I said before, you cant mix light with darkness, and you cant mix truth with fiction, because it leads to deception and delusion and confusion. and it's not the mature chrstian I am concerned with. It's the ones who are struggling to come to grips with the truth. LaHaye is to be taken with a grain of salt and should not be taken serously.

As for me if I want fiction. I'll read Snowwhite and the seven dwarfs or Larry and Stretch. And dont forget this only what I think about things.

Eric,

good point, but... I for one read the Bible long before any of these Christian fiction books. I discovered from personal Bible study that there will most certainly be a pre-trib rapture. I then started studying the views of others, i.e., post-tribber's and the amillennialist's. I wanted to see the other side of this issue. My conclusion was that the pre-trib rapture is the only conclusion I could come to. It is just so clear!

However that's not my point here... just a lead-in.

My point is that you said some may fall away if they in fact enter the tribulation because this series of books presents the pre-trib view. Well, by that logic, then those that believe in the pre-trib rapture due to Bible reading might fall away because they believe the Bible deceived them ;)

Just a thought...

John

Well I dont know about that John, but I've always said that it is better to be prepared for the tribulation and be surprised by the rapture than be prepared for the rapture and be surprised by the tribulation. I was pre trib not long ago, I must admit, but after a lot of serious study and listening to what some of my brothers and sisters were saying on this board plus the most important influence of all, the Holy Spirit, I realised I was being deceived and pretrib was not an option, well not as far as I am concerned.

Anyway thanks for your input John and you go and have a great in the Lord.

eric ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
