Come to think of it, Mort Walker, the author/artist of the long-running Beetle Bailey comic strip, once had a running battle going with censors about belly buttons as well. He kept drawing them on bikini-clad ladies in his comic strip, and the censors kept taking them back out again.

The whole thing came to a head when Mort drew a box of navel oranges in the foreground of the strip - and made sure to include a navel on each and every orange in the box.

I understand the censors gave up after that one.

Do you remember a pilot for a series called the Genesis Project. It starred Marianne Harltey and Alex McCord and was conceived by Gene R. of Star Trek fame. It was about an astronaut who was placed in suspended animation in the late 20th century and revived by a post-atomic war government called Pax. it was awesome

The only thing I recall was Marriette Hartley secretly launching something back to earth from a space station but finding out she didn't take into consideration the distance-time-movement factors, and whatever it was she pointed to the earth was lost in space. I think I was, 6, when I saw it on an afternoon movie. I'm a sucker for sci fi.
