In all the things you have said, you have not convinced me that you actually regard the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost if you prefer) as God. I know you have said you do, but I would like to know how you regard Him as God?

For example, I stated that my interpretation of your statements indicate that you have put the Holy Spirit on the same level as angels and demons. I would especially appreciate you clarifying if you do or if you do not regard Him this way. And if you do not, please explain.

John 5: 31If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

A true witness is one that bears testimony of another.

John 7: 18He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

So by speaking of oneself.. you seek your own glory which is unrighteousness. If you speak of the One that sent you, then you seek His glory and no unrighteousness is in you.

Now look at the witness factor of the Holy Spirit.

John 16: 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

If we are led by the Spirit of God... then these verses would make it plainly so as to how.

John 15: 26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

Thus goes to show why as the Divine Witness, the Holy Spirit does not seek to be glorified for He will not speak of Himself, but testify of Jesus Christ and glorify Jesus Christ. If we pray to, worship or glorify the Holy Spirit, then we are not doing what the Holy Spirit in us is leading us to do.

Look at how God will judge.

John 5: 22For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Isn't that significant in mentioning that when one does not honor the son, they are not honoring the Father? That is saying the minute you stop honoring the Son... you are not honoring the Father. Since the Holy Spirit is God, He will not lead people to stop honoring the Son. Man will.

Thus it goes to show why the Holy Spirit is not mentioned in these verses regarding glory to God because the indwelling Holy Spirit is leading us to glorify the Son thereby the Father as well.

John 13:31Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

John 17: 1These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

So if our focus is distracted by broadening the Way in which the "Holy Spirit" is in the spotlight with Jesus which the Holy Spirit in us would not lead believers to do, then how can anyone say that this?

Philippians 2: 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Scriptures are written this Way for a reason.

John 5: 39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. 41I receive not honour from men. 42But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. 47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Now I know there are errant bible versions out there, but if you really want to know which Bible versions to listen to... are the ones that testify of Jesus Christ the Lord as John 5:39 declares of which you will find in the KJV. I know there are much debate over KJV only stance, but to find the actual meaning of His words to discern the times we live in through prayer to Jesus... go with the KJV.

All I am doing is pointing you to Your Good Shepherd. Scriptures as well as the indwelling Holy Ghost is doing that too. It is just too bad that errant bible versions that points away from Jesus on those verses that says otherwise to Jesus in the KJV and the unscriptural hymnals that points away from Jesus thus ceasing to honor the Son are too common that believers do not take the time to stop and listen to what they are saying in how they do not represent the current faith in Jesus Christ.

To me, the worst hymn ever written is "Showers of Blessing." This hymn is terrible.

The following is an Old Covenant promise to Israel that any new covenanant believer has been grafted into.

Deuteronomy 28

The Word of God says we shall be greatly blessed.

The old Wormy song "Showers of Blessing" says, "mercy drops round us are falling; but for the showers we PLEAD."

That is terrible. God's blessings are great and His mercy is awesome, and the author of this song is pleading for a drop of blessing. I think the song should be ripped from the hymnals.

None of us have said anything about not honoring the Son.

What I hear from you is anger at people like Benny Hinn, and because he speaks of the Holy Spirit, you have taken your anger out on the Holy Spirit. Rather than getting to know the Spirit of God for yourself, you have thrown the Holy Spirit into the trash pile you have thrown all of Hinn's teachings into. You have figured in your heart that because Hinn speaks so much of the Holy Spirit that it must be wrong to have any association with the Holy Spirit . . . except as some invisible unheard, unseen force that connects you to God in some way outside of your conscious thought. This is what I am hearing from you. But in so doing, you have made the error of taking the pendulum from one wrong extreme to another wrong extreme. This is not good either.

And please don't tell me that because you have been to Heaven that this automatically qualifies you to be doctrinally correct in all areas. No, you have not stated this hear, but I have seen your words in other threads. Your words indicate that you are not under any authority, nor have any Christian accountability whatsoever. This is a very dangerous place to be. It is way too easy for Satan to trick us when we walk this earth alone like that. I have seen this in others - Christians who have had visions and revelations thinking they have some special knowledge that no one else does and creating their own doctrine and accusing the brethren of deceit for not having this revelation that they had.

Now you can "KJV" me all you want to, but that changes nothing concerning how you have interpreted the words. To know the truth, you have to go back to the original Hebrew and Greek. Those who have studied these languages will tell you that even the KJV has failed to correctly translate all things.

We don't have "discernment" we don't read "the right" Bible, we don't follow Jesus. You can't follow Jesus without the work of the Holy Spirit. You keep telling us to use the Holy Spirit, but relegate Him to some pedestrian position that I don't even understand. I confess that I don't know who the Holy Spirit is to you, or what function He fulfills according to you. Plenty of us have asked you that, and where you got this false doctrine, but those kind of questions you refuse to answer. If you cannot answer simple questions, there is no way I would entertain anything you say. Until you just come right out and answer these questions in a straightforward manner with out being arrogant, judgemental and condecending, your whistling in the wind.

i was talking to several of my leaders last night in our prayer meeting group and you have been placed on this list and the word i got for you from one of the leaders who is very gifted and hears from god is this the path you are on know poor in spirit is very destructive and by what you have been saying to my self and every one else like vicky lynn nebula cobalt and thinking just because we have an understanding of what the holy spirit does and believe in the works of the holy spirit and just because i see the holy spirit as a real person and have prayed to get to wear i am in my understanding of who the holy spirit is and have with all your heart tried to correct or think you are on some mission one word was given repent and denounce or face god on judgment day and you alone tell god to his face why you feel the way you do about the holy spirit

Since people are adhering to keep the other versions of the Bible on the same level as the KJV in spite that scriptures are to testify of Jesus as the KJV does, I doubt very much anyone would listen to this correction when other versions would change a word or a pronoun and thus justifying taking their eyes off of seeking the face of Jesus to something else in His name. And as the topic is unscriptural hymnals, from this small leaven of the Pharisees, then it becomes a whole lump when it leads to unscriptural manifestations of what they claim to be the Holy Spirit by the SAME RUDIMENT which the unscriptural hymnals are leading others astray by... and that is looking to the Spirit.. praying to the Spirit.. and thus worshipping the Spirit as in OUT of Spirit thus bearing false witness of the Gospel that the Holy Spirit is in us as promised for all those that come to Jesus.

First off, you are not advocating accurate interpretation of the Bible, you are worshipping a translation. The KJV is a very good translation. It is not a perfect translation. There is no such thing as a perfect or divinely inspired translation. Only the original autographs in Hebrew and Greek are divinely inspired and perfect. Every single translation out there, except for those written to justify a certain agenda, or written for one specific denomination, have been translated with the best resources they had at the time, so when you mock other translations, you mock the Christians who worked so hard to make those translations.

Secondly, how can you, personally, trust any Bible, even the original version? According to you, we are not supposed to converse with the Holy Spirit, or even listen to Him, so by your doctrine, we should have no Gospel, because they never should have listened to the Holy Spirit as He dictated the Word to them. How do you get around that one?

Cobalt, you did not know that God wrote the Bible in 1611? The Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic are irrelevant; God wrote the Bible in 1611 in England.

Back in about 30 AD, when Jesus quoted the Prophets and the Law, He was reading it out of the 1611 KJV. I thought everyone knew that.
