I frankly cannot understand why a Christian would send their children to a catholic school. Public school is bad enough with it's religion of secularism, humanism, evolution, promiscuity, language and the like. But catholic school is not an alternative, for you are then sending them to be taught by false religious teachers.

Homeschooling or private Christian school are the only options, especially when children are young. We are told to train them, guard them, and protect them; not allow them to be influenced by the world and it's sin and lusts.

AMEN!!!!! :24::emot-dance:

:24:

Your Son would be proud of his Memorial you have for him! :24:

I didn't see anything about this, either.

"Train up a child in the way he should go..." is a warning not a promise.

If you train up a child in their own way [which is actually what that means] naturally they will grow up expecting to be treated the same. We are to train them up in GOD's way.

What???? I dont get your point.

Well ya know, she said it well. That is what I am saying amen to. Are you thinking I am saying amen to the tragedy in public schools? No, I am saying amen in agrement. I agree with ~smiles~. She said it well. I give a hearty 'AMEN' to all of her posts she has made.

No, you said "AMEN" to yet another attack on Catholicism, and it's a pattern I'm seeing here on Worthy that is really starting to BUG me.

:24::24::24::24::24::24:

She was speaking of wether or not CHRISTIANS should put their kids in Catholic school. We have a poster here, Forrest who says he is not catholic but thinks it's a great idea to put our kids in catholic school. So you agree with Forrest? :emot-dance: Read the previous posts to that post and you'll understand.

Christians should not put their kids in Catholic schools...............................meaning one is not the other. This just keeps getting sadder and sadder.

Let me requote, with some bolding:

Again, I gotta say I agree with ~smiles~!

my 11yr old boy goes to a public school due to private schools costing to much and in a public school he is able to mix with diffrent groups of kids around his age

with in private schools i notice that kids are rude as i use to clean in one and have friends that clean in a big private school hear wear i live i also have a christian friend who just got his degree at uni as a teacher and some of the things he tells me blows me away

what i do not like is how our goverment has been giving so much money to the private schools to wear our public schools hear in Australia are going to decay the building are in need of work the class rooms are in need of air conditioning to keep the kids cool threw our hot summers

yet all the things we expect the elected prime minister to do for our public schools goes in one ear and out the other ear see their are private schools that have the works swiming pools tennis courts and even in some you are allowed to have your horses in them new busses better class rooms better lunch rooms and better trips away

but in a public school you almost have to raise funds if you want to send the kids on a field trip and some time the education department its self wil knock you back but a private school always gets the thumb up its as if we have two diffrent groups and what hurts the most as a parent and a tax payer our tax goes to those private schools instead of being put into our public schools that are in need

i am very supportive of our public schools more than our private schools no matter what any one says even some private christian schools can be very expensive as i was looking at a few to wear my son is living with his mother and i could not beleive the price to put a child threw a private christian school

i went threw a public school and public high school and it did not hurt me and i wil alway back a public school more than i would support a private school due to the snobs that are in them and i have seen this first hand so i am not just going off by saying what i am saying hear the kids are very rude and i have noticed some of the teachers in private schools can be very rude as well i pulled a few of them up to the way cleanners are looked down on just to make them think that they can not treat people like this and i said they are not special at so you get no special treatment by me if i am on sight and working with the other cleanners if a kid is rude i wil grab them and take them to the head principal no matter what they say they should no tthink they have the right to treat normal working people like this

this is al i wil say on this thanks[/quot

Sounds like your country is trying to Wash its hand of public schools. That might not be such a bad idea and make it all private. Private schools for the unbeliever and a private ones for believers. No more state run schools. Sounds good to me. That means the tide would turn and then the Christians would out number the unbelievers and they would have to migrate to the Christian schools. Wow what and idea. Total reversal! :emot-dance:

No need to bold it, I got it the first time, even with my public school education. And I find it as sad the 2nd time as I did the first.

Scarlet, maybe you should stick to the topic. How many posts have we wasted on defending something that has barely been touched on? This is about choices of school. To say it makes no sense for Christians to send their kids to catholic school is not an attack.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
