May I remind you that Galileo was also doing "the work of Satan" 300 years ago because he found something fundamentalists thought was in conflict with the bible. Turns out Galileo was right after all.

You know, there's a big difference between Galileo contraddicting Aristotle's popularized view of the universe as well as making a mockery of the pope in his presentation - and the spreading of a religion that takes people away from Jesus.

Then again, um . . . maybe I need to know what I'm talking to.

Cerran, is Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of your life? Have you been baptised in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost?

Do you believe the words of Jesus when He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me."?

If not, what do you believe?

Nebula, if Cerran studied the bible as much as he or she studies Einstein's theory of relativity, he/she would know what you are talking about.....possibly. Well judging by his/her signature. :hmmm:

Of course I believe that Jesus is the savior, but I'm not a noodlehead who thinks that everything not the bible in this world is the work of satan and trying to pull me from my faith. A truly faithful person can study science, history, and other religions and beliefs without fear of being pulled away from their faith. I have my faith, now I seek knowledge that my faith cannot provide in this life.

Grow up people and start to think for yourselves for a change, the savior Jesus isn't about absolutism in everything else, you let Jesus into your heart and that is what matters. Study his teachings and the gospels, but also don't ignore the wealth of other information around you. The scriptures covers a very narrow period of history and the King James bible that most everyone uses is very poorly translated from the original text.

Does it matter that I believe that it is possible for some potions of the scritures to be innaccurate? Not really if I still believe in the savior. After all we will all know the truth at some point.

And Einstein was right.

No this is not possible. If scripture is complete from beginning to end and is God breathed inspiration, then if you believe one part of scripture to be true - the rest must also be. Otherwise you are making conflict within yourself and calling God and his word a liar. He would not write truth in one place and deception in another. Then we cannot except him for who he is - or the sacrifice he made, and ultimately Jesus himself.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Matthew 22:29

Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.

2 Peter 1:20

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation.

2 Peter 3:16

He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

1 Peter 5:8

I will admit that some people, both Christian and non-Christian, can say some good things.

But if we pick and chose what we believe - "well, I believe the Bible here but not here," or "I like what this guy has to say better than what the Bible has to say" - problems!

Cerran, I don't k now what your idea of God is, but He is a holy God, and a jealous God. He will not share his glory with another. He is the Lamb, but He is also a lion, and one day He will come in the clouds make war against those who oppose Him. It's all in the prophets and in Revelation. Turning God into a false image is a big no-no (He doesn't like it). Think: would you like people creating their own ideas of what you are like and who you are?

I am not making this stuff up. It is in the Bible. I fear that these may be the kinds of things you may be deciding are "not true." If that is so, you are setting yourself up for wrath.

I do not say this to be pointing fingers but to warn you out of concern. It would be a great tragedy for you to stand before the throne of God and be told, "Depart from me, I never knew you," because you followed the wisdom of your own mind and didn't put your trust in the Lord.

I really don't want to see that happen to you. So, I plead with you to really consider this path you have taken, and see where it is going.

Praying - really!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
