my son who is only 11yrs old understands the true meaning of christmas and so do i i also do not have a christmas tree in my home nor do i alow my self to fall for the pagan way christmas is celberated

christ died for us why should i believe in a fat man who only is some one being payed to do his job and make it look like santa clause is reel

tell me something come christmas day when rich people and rich kids get their pressents what do you say to a child who has nothing who has parents that cant even work

i see this in the comunity i live in you have one side that loves to just spend money on christmas pressents and then have the nerve to lie to a child to the point were that child grows up believing this then they pass this lie on to their kids and it just keeps being told to the next generation

i had to sit one day with a child who was crying thinking that santa clause hates them this child said to me each year i behave i help my parents i behave in school i listen to what the teachers tell me to do

and each year is the same i wake up and i see that i did not get what i wished for

also we have some troubled youth in the farming community i live in braking into family homes as they know were all the cool toys will be and these kids are very smart they work out the alarm system to the point were if their is a family member that will not stop them braking into the family home and helping them selves heck they know how to handle the gaurd dogs

was it wrong for me to tell my 11yr old boy the truth no it was my right as his father to tell my son the truth and explaine the true meanning of christmass

that does not mean i come down on those i know who do put up christmas decorations or have a christmas tree in their home i just pray that one day it will sink in and that their eyes are open to the truth of what christ did for us

what brakes me is this their are kids who truely believe that santa clause will get them and place them in a caring home were they no longer need to sufer or see their mother being bashed or yelled at by her new boy friend who wants $100 for a stupid shot of herroin that will only last 24hrs

in the community i live in the police are on call as the violence gets worse each year i even hear it in the street i live in as i am not far from one of the missions as in each town you have a mission were the poorest people live and these are the people my pastor knows how to handle and he gets calls to come out and gives counsel

when i woke up on christmas day by my self with no family to spend this day with i prayed and i thanked jesus for what he did for me on the cross even though i heard my neighbour un wrapping his christmas present he got from his kids and hearing his kids playing with their new toys their father got for them but you heard how santa had visited them threw the early hours of the morninng

i spent this time alone in prayer asking jesus to help me face this day and help me bring joy in some ones life who needs it well i got that chance as i went to the unitting church for christmas lunch and i sat with a close friend and his mother and sevral others who were in the same situation as me and we just talked

this is what it has been like for me since i was `14yrs old and i am 40yrs

i did not even get christmas cards but that did not stop me from saying jesus happy birthday

and jesus thank you for showing me the true meaninning of christmas
