The problem with the naysayers is that they start with their opinion (private iterpretation a Bible no no) and then they read a verse, that seems to supports their opinion and go no farther. To Get God's Truth one has to use the whole Bible, and when one does that it is very obious that God uses women pretty much the same as He does men. Not just as teachers but in all ministries. This is also obvious on an experiential basis if one would go to women lead ministries prayed up in The Spirit to be truly knowledgeable about what goes on in them.

staying off topic...

Look around in your churches. What is the ratio of women to men? Maybe women are preaching because the men aren't willing.

I don't have any problem, biblically, with women preaching/ teaching God's word. I don't think it's biblical for a woman to be a pastor or in some other authority over a man, but there is kingdom work to be done and in every church I've been in, there are far more women than men.

Thats right!

I'm certainly not trying to frighten anybody by my so called misinterpretation of scripture. God says what He means and means what He says. Study your bible a little more. My wife even says that women shouldn't preach, and women in my church even say that. A preacher on a local radio station was talking about that recently. The problem with christians today is, they smorgersboard God's word, they pick and choose what they like and forget the rest of what they don't like.

Hey Kit Kat... well put! I agree with you...

I would be interested in knowing what Joyce Meyer has to say about this

Just to clarify I think it's fine for women to preach... Not fine to hold leadership... there's a difference... to me anyway.

Hey mcm! :)

Can you clarify what the difference is...to you?

I'm in agreement with you all the way about homosexuals having ANY type of leadership position, especially in the church.

God Bless! :t:

Decision making... as apposed to teaching. That's the difference. Anybody can teach, and with all honesty anybody can make decisions. But, I don't know why, but i believe that God would have men lead, and women under that leadership.

God has a hierarchy of power, in no way was God the father less valuble than Christ the Son, Submiting takes just as much strength as leading does. As far as decision making goes, I think man should have the final word, not because women are inferior, but because that is how God has set up His people.

That is how I see it... Hope that clarifies my side

Salt and Light, I totally agree with you. God made men and women differently, each with their unique and special roles. It is such a PLEASURE to be a woman the way God intended. We have our own unique and special and very important ministries in the body. But, unfortunately, pride has gotten into some women's hearts and they can not stand the thought of something they "can't" do. It is the age old problem - God said not to do it, so naturally the person immediately wants to do it.

I will never understand women who believe it is some sort of put down that the female was not appointed as the head, the instructor, the Pastor, the teacher etc. If only many women would embrace the wonderful ministry that God has given them, so much more would be accomplished in the body. But they are busy insisting they are 'just as good as men', 'God is no respector of persons', they insist they have a gift and have been called - and all the while, their true gifts and callings are left undone due to their stubborness.

One particular pet peeve of mine is the excuse/rationalization "well, there are no men who can/will/are able to do it/take the class. Oh, okay. So it's okay to go against God when there doesn't seem to be any other way? LOL

I'm sure my very strong opinion will be unpopular but, hey, it won't be the first time. :)

Praise The Lord!

Work in progress, that is a very uplifting testamony Sister, and I am in total agreement, God made us man and woman "make and female created He them" Gen1:27

My wife and I have had to learn this truth :) , and what I mean is just what you have said, God has created us to fill different roles, different responsibilties, and of course different functions. When we learned this, or should I say accepted this (we are still learning) we have never been happier.

My wife will tell you the same thing, she is happy she is a woman (and so am I :t2::D:t2: ) she is a very beautiful loving person, I love her so much. And she feels like you do, as a matter of fact I almost asked her if she posted this! :)

Praise God Sis.

Also mcm, that is a very good post you have posted a page or two back, good insight brother.

Thanks mcm,

The only leadership position I have a problem with when it comes to women is holding office as President of the United States.

IMO, heaven forbid that Hillary Clinton should EVER be President or Vice President, but then again it wouldn't bother me if she just fell of the face of the earth.

I agree with your quote. That is how God designed it, however I will say that sometimes it takes more strength to submit than it does to lead.

God Bless! :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
