maybe you can clarify these scriptures then ......
Sure can.

LUKE 18:19 Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God

LUKE 2:52 Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.

JOHN 8:42 I proceeded forth and came from God, neither came I of myself but he sent me.

I will take each one in turn.

Luke 12:19 - What you need to understand is the context. The rich young ruler called Jesus "good." The word used was an term that was not proper to use for a mere man. The word for "good" was more than what our English word "good" Jesus' point was that rich young ruler, who supposed Jesus to be only a man used a term that was meant for God alone. Jesus was rebuking the ruler for his misuse of a term meant only to honor God, as type of meaningless flattery. Jesus was not disclaiming Deity or Divinity.

Luke 2:52 - This is a weak verse to use if you are trying challenge Jesus' Deity. It simply refers to Jesus' humanity and His relationship to the Father. It does not mean that Jesus was not God, nor can that be inferred from the verse.

John 8:42 - Far from being an argument against His Deity, this verse declares Jesus pre-existance prior to his physical birth. Jesus, to be sent by God to earth, had to pre-exist His earthly sojourn and ministry on earth in order to be sent.

and this is confusing as well.....

god knows all then why did he say this in matthew....

Matt 24:36 But of that day and hour no man know, not the angels which are in heaven, nor the son, but only the father. But God knows all, since Jesus does not know of the day of judgment he is not all-knowing and therefore not God

At that time, Jesus didn't know. That does not mean He does not know now. Here is the thing that gets kind of muddied in these discussions on Jesus' Deity. Jesus was 100% man adn 100% God. However, Jesus, when He came to earth voluntarily surrenendered the privileges that come with Deity. That does not mean that Jesus was not still divine. However, Jesus, as a man, was living completely dependent on the Father.

Jesus came to earth, in part to be our example. If Jesus had operated in the fullness of His Deity, He would have been an impossible example to follow. Philippians chapter two tells us that Jesus emptied Himself of all the glory and honor He had prior to living among us. He became obedient even unto death on a cross.

It must be kept in mind that Jesus forgave sins in His own Name. He healed in His own Name. His power came from the Father, but Jesus operated in His own authority. Jesus knew the Will and mind of the Father, and He operated accordingly. Jesus even received worship. Yet, He declared that we are to only worship God. So Jesus, by receiving worship, declared He was God.

Although Jesus performed miracles he admitted that his power was not his own

John 5:19 I can of mine own self do nothing

Matt 12:28 I case out devils by the spirit of God

Right, but that was based on a willful subjugation of Himself to the Father. Jesus lived in complete dependance on the Father and healed by the power of the Father; however, Jesus operated in His OWN authority. He did not ask the Father if it was okay to forgive sins. Jesus forgave sins in the manner that only God can.

God does not lose power and if someone drains him of power he would know who had done it.

Mark 5: 25-32 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed. Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, Who touched my clothes? But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.

It is not a case of Jesus not knowing who touched him, but rather Jesus wanted the woman to make a public confession of faith. You have to be careful with applying hyper-literal, face value approaches to Scripture.

I realize that jesus is Lord......that the god has given him his gift which is us his bride..and that without him there is no salvation
"Lord" when applied to Jesus is the Hebrew word "Adonai" and is a title of Deity. A mere man could not save the world. Jesus was not just a good and righteous man. If all God needed was a good man to die on the cross, he could sacrificed Abel or Abraham or Moses. Jesus stands out as God. The Bible from cover to cover proclaims Jesus' Deity. It is in escapable. Salvation is a work of God. It was God on the cross paying for our sins. A mere man could not have satisfied God's justice against sin.

Hey i know that Jesus is the Word of God, but Jesus is not God , I think he's God in a human form. It's like if i say that i had a son, My son would have my blood inside of him, and his blood inside of me. So we would be equal, but he's not me, a image of me. So its's also like me saying my son is me, but in a other body form.

I am sorry but that is not a really good comparison. God's relationship with Jesus is unique and there is no real frame of reference on earth that can serve as a good analogy.

Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. It is what is known as the "hypostatic union." The Bible is replete with proofs that Jesus is God.

i hope for the op sake this stays on course and we do not confuse the op who is asking for honest answers as i do not want to see this being turned into a trinity and oneness views so lets all show respect to the op i feel al who read what i am saying will understand me these are honest questions and i too was asking the very same questions as the op is asking is Jesus God and i hope one person if he decides to jot some thing down sticks to the topic

read John 3 from verse 31 to 36

31 He who comes from above is above all he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth

he who comes from heaven is above all

32 and what he has seen and heard that he testifies and no one receives his testimony

33 he who has received his testimony has certified that god is true

34 for he whom god has sent speaks the words of god for god does give the spirit by measure

35 the father loves the son and has given all things into his hand

36 he who believes in the son shall have everlasting life and he who does not believe the son shall

not see life but the wrath of god abides on him

John 3

11 most assurdley i say to you we speak what we know and testify what we have seen and you do not receive our wittness

12 if i have told you earthly things and you do not believe how will you believe if i tell you heavenly things

13 no one has ascended to heaven but he who came down from heaven that is the son of man who is in heaven

16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life

Mattew 3 john Baptizes Jesus

13 then jesus came from galiee to the Jorden to be baptized by him

14 And John tried to prevent him saying i need to be baptized by you and are you comming to me

15 But Jesus answerd and said to him Permit it to be so now for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness then he allowed him

16 When he had been baptized Jesus came up immediatley from the water and behold the heavens were opened to him

and he saw the spirit of god desending like a dove and alighting upon him

17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven saying this is my beloved son in whom i am well pleased

Luke 1 Christs birth anounced to mary

26 now in the six month the angel gabriel was sent by god to a city of galiee named Nazerath

27 to a virgin bethrothed to a man whoes name was Joseph of the house of david the virgins name was mary

28 And having come in the angel said to her rejoice highly favord one the lord is with you blessed are you among women

29 But when she saw him she was troubled at his saying and considered what manner of greeting this was

30 then the angel said to her do not be afraid Mary for you have found favor with god

31 and behold you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son and shall call him Jesus

32 he will be great and he will be called the son of the highest and the lord god wil give him the throne of his father david

33 And he will reign over the house of jacob forever and of his kingdom their will be no end

Philippians 2 The Humbled and Exalted Christ

5 Let the mind be in you which was in Jesus christ

6 who being in the form of god did not consider it robbery to be equal with god

7 but made himself of no reputation taking the form of a bondservant and comming in the likeness of men

8 And being found in appearance as man He humbled him self and became obediant to the point of death

of the cross

9 Therefore god also has highly exalted him and given him the name which is above every name

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those in heaven and on earth and of those under the earth

11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus christ is lord to the glory of god the father

people wil only give you this verse in phillipians 2 verse 6 and say that god walked this earth that god was in mary womb and that it was god who was nailed on the cross with out reading the hole of the scripture

John 17 Jesus prays for him self

Jesus spoke these words lifted up his eyes to heaven and said father the hour has come Glorify your son

that your son also may glorify you

2 as you have given him authority over all flesh that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him

3 And this is eternal life that they may know you the only true god and Jesus Christ whom you have sent

4 i have glorified you on this earth i have finished the work which you have given me to do

5 And now of father glorify me together with your self with the glory which i had with you which the world was

if you are seeking i would ask that you do not let religon or the law destroy what you are seeking for i hope you are around some good honest people that will not throw mans doctrine or their ideas on what you are seeking hear the bible is very simple to understand it only gets complicated when man sifts threw gods word and will not alow him self to be open to the truth off gods word

i was like you i wanted to know as i was around people who would beat around the bush or get involved in trinity and oneness arguments and i hope you do not see this in your topic you set up as you are asking an honest Question hear

i believe jesus is gods son i believe jesus came to this earth as i wil point out to you in this passage

John 12 verse

44 then Jesus cried out and said he who believes in me believes not in me but in him who sent me

45 And he who sees me sees him who sent me

46 i have come as a light into the world that whoever believes in me should not abide in darkness

47 And if anyone hears my words and does not believe i do not Judge him for i did not come to judge the world

but to save the world

well i have given you what you are asking us to do and that is place scripture to back this up

god bless from your brother in the lord damien stipic

first off thanks to shiloh and damo1 those were both helpful....

shiloh......you explained some of the things good but not all.....especially the point that jesus said the son nor the angels no the day and time of judgement only the father.......that was a simple statement not relative to time it was a fact....if god is the same person as the son that means the son knows....I do agree with this fact that Jesus was not mearly a man..he was pre existant because in genisis the bible said that man was created in the likeness of us...showing a plural situation with god.....so obviously their is a special relationship with jesus and god...im just tryin to figure it out..if he is god why not say so why say son of god..and why is there a scripture where it is said that jesus got exalted/elevated a little above the angels....if he is god how does one exalt or elevate god..he is the alpha and omega.....

btw im not denying that jesus is eternal im jus saying the way it is put in the bible it seems as if god and jesus are at different levels...like God is exalted above jesus..has more power than jesus...therefore how can they be the same person.....

Well, the point is that Jesus purposely limited Himself. That fact does not at all mean that Jesus was/is not God. Jesus emptied Himself of privileges and honors of Deity, during His earthly ministry.

Having said, that you need to understand that Jesus' emptying Himself was only temporary. Those priviliges that He chose not to exercise on earth, He has taken up again as He is now glorified. So in one sense it is relative both to time as well as relative to His position on earth.

Jesus lived in submission to the Father and this meant that He was bound by certain limitations and even human frailties such as hunger, thirst, and fatique. I would not argue that Jesus was not all-powerful simply becuase He needed to rest.

One thing that you might consider studying out is the relationship of Jesus' humanity with His Deity. A proper understanding of that, tends to clear up the difficulties concerning Jesus' Deity.

Has anyone mentioned this?

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 (NIV)

Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed: 11 For he that biddeth him Godspeed is partaker of his evil deeds.

The clause "Jesus Christ is come in the flesh" Acknowledges both His divinity and His humanity. It is afirming the incarnation.

Thank you.

Hebrews 1:4-6 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

how can jesus be god if he was made? paul states the son ( jesus) was made so much better than the angels

high getat 151

this should answer your question

Hebrews 9 Greatness of Christs Sacrifice

23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified

with these but the heavenly things themselved with better Sacrifisses then these

24 for christ has not entered the holy places made with hands which are copies of the true but into heaven itself

now to appear into the pressence of god for us

25 not that he should offer himself often as the high priest enters the most holy place every year with the blood

of another

26 he then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world but now once at the end of the ages

he has appeard to put away sin by the sacrifice of him self

27 and as it is appointed for men to die once but after this is judgment

28 so christ was offered once to bear the sins of many to those who eagerly weight for him he will appear a second time apart from sin for salvation

this is why christ was born he was the perfect sacrifice every time a new person is saved Jesus takes that persons sin up on himself

Jesus is not god no were in the bible does it say that Jesus is god as if Jesus was god why would god end his own life why would god want to be nailed to a cross why would god bare the sin of the world upon him self

Hebrews 1 Gods supreme Revelaton

God who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets

2 has in his last days spoken to us by his son whom he has appointed heir of all thinga through whom also

he made the worlds

3 who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person and upholding all things by the word

of his power when he had by himself purged our sins sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high

4 having become so much better then the angels as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name

then they

the son exallted above the angels

5 for to which of the angels did he ever say

you are my son

today i have begotten you

6 and again

i will be to him a father

and he shall be to me a son

but when he brings all the first born

into the world he says let all the angels of god worship him

one thing i have learnt is this how i see this for my self you and my other brothers and sisters in the lord wil see this also to how they understand this

also not all of us are reading from the same bible but that does not mean the bibles that are printed and sold threw out the world are wrong

do you study your bible are you in a good cell group ? are you around other christians who can answer your questions ? this will help you if you are planted in a good church

as i said i was like you i asked a lot of questions i even bought two jornels and i wrote what i wanted answerd down and i even took my time to go over what was said to me i did not just go in blind i was hungry i wanted to learn and i wanted to understand what Jesus did for me and why this man gave his life up for me

hope this helps you take it step by step and i feel you will get your answers

god bless from your brother in the lord damien stipic

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
