Most people here don't like the doctrine he preaches. There are others with false doctrine-baptists, methodists, catholics, charismatics, presbyterians, ect...but for some reason-the so called "faith" teachers really bring out the horns on some people.

Well, I have that situation at school. You'd think we'd stick together with the few Christians at my school, but none of us like each other.

I try being as nice to them as human possible, but I won't take being pushed around or talked about. When I get ticked off I pray to God "just shut my mouth or let me rant..." haha

I got into a fist fight with one of them.. she hit me first.. and I wasn't gonna stand there and be hit.. I tried walking away and was cornered.. no way out of it.. so I hit back and walked away..

But I have a tendency to get nasty when they are ticking me off.. but I just try to let God control it all.. and He will find His way of taking care of it.

It's really hard to be around people you don't enjoy, or that get under your skin.

I would say it's not a sin to have feelings like that. I think it's how you respond to those sorts of feelings. I don't think you should talk about those people, or mention their names. It's best just to ignore the things that annoy you...

That's what I do..Most of the time :)

You can disagree with what people say, etc, or their doctrines and beliefs, that's not a sin.

What a great idea for a thread, Calamity!! You're right, we all have to deal with situations like these, and it can be pretty tough stuff! I guess I'll just have to jump on the band wagon with everyone else, and say that I mostly just try to stay away from them. That keeps me from saying something "in the flesh" that I know I'll regret later, whether I'm right or wrong. But there are those times and people that it's impossible to stay away from all the time, how do some of you handle situations where you're "pinned against the wall"? Please answer without naming names.

Is this wrong? How have you handled situations with people like that. I know praying for them is good, but physically, in everyday life, how do you handle it?

Yes, it is wrong to judge or hold a grudge. Always has been, always will be.

Kill them with kindness. Have them over for dinner at your home. Win them over. You don't have to agree on everything, or win every argument.

Holding a grudge isn't really what I'm talking about. There's no argument or anything gong on, LOL, because that person will not even acknowlege my presence, much less talk to me. Being kind and nice to them is right. I do that. The particular situation I'm in, though, the person totally shuns me, and it is impossible to talk with them, because they act like I do not exist if we are at the same place at the same time. This is hard to avoid totally, because it is in the family. For over a year now, I"ve been acting like everything is fine, being nice to this person and watching them ignore me, turn away from me, walk away from me, leave the room I"m in, etc. The thing is, all I can think of that caused it, is that we left the church they still attend! Period. I did not do anything to them.

As to the Copeland question, that is a totally different subject, and would be better in a different thread on that subject. All I'll say here though, is as far as I know, from what I've read that Copeland and the others like him have said and taught, is that they are teaching a different gospel, and a different Jesus. Totally wrong.

Did you notice my suggestion?

I happen to disagree with your assessment of the situation. But in any event, that's the solution.

Ok man, you've called them out! You better be right.

If not, then you are touching God's annointed. Remember King David murdered a man and stole his wife!! Yet to God, he was a man after his own heart!!!!

Scary stuff!!!!  :o

Well, steve, I'm glad you have the situation I'm talking about properly assessed. I still don't know how to invite someone for dinner when that someone will not acknowledge that you said a word when you attempt to talk to them. In fact, they do not acknowledge that I even exist, while I'm there. It would be akin to inviting a rock to dinner, as to the type of response (none), that there would be. The point I was trying to make is that every time I'm around this person, I have always been nice, friendly, polite, and the whole nine yards. It hasn't mattered.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
