Its the Devil, and his messages are so spread out in brainwashing people with his ideas and philosophies and fears on people. I was recently watching "Zoe 101" with my 12yrs old sister and was disgusted at all the messages they were implanting on their minds. How girls should be mistreated and how they in turn should mistreat boys and become hard hearted to them. It was so terrible!

Rebellion...

men rebel against God..

women rebel against men..

children rebel against parents.. etc.

We are a rebellious people...

But God gives us His Word to show us how to live a life free of rebellion..

Col 3:18 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as is becoming in the Lord.

Col 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them.

Col 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.

Col 3:21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they be discouraged.

Col 3:22 Slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.

Col 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men;

Col 3:24 knowing that from the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. For you serve the Lord Christ.

Col 3:25 But he who does wrong shall receive justice for the wrong which he did, and there is no respect of persons.

Do go and read the whole Chapter..search it out..

Restoration begins with one person seeing the truth and walking in it..

Submitting to the Lord is the first step in the right direction for any family that is struggling.

When we are submitted to Him He will show us how to bring order into our own lives..

The world will not follow Him...but we are not of the world ...

1Jn 5:18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not continue to sin, but the one born of God guards himself, and the evil one does not touch him.

1Jn 5:19 We know that we are of God, and all the world lies in evil.

1Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us an understanding so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in Him that is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and the everlasting life.

1Jn 5:21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols. Amen.

We have eternal hope that God can and will help us live in the order He has set for us in this life.... \o/

I must Seek His place for me and live in it.. :th_praying:

Pray for those who struggle with the place God would have them that God speak to their hearts..

We are all in different situations...Lots of different situation ....

Life can be messy..But God can make it right...

I know I must continually pray I be in the place God wants me to be ...

Submission to Him...

and that is my little 2 cents on the subject of why

a rise in the number of broken families
....

IMHO...Because God is not allowed into the Marriage.

Marriage Takes Three

I once thought marriage took

just two to make a go

but now I am convinced

it takes the LORD also.

And not one marriage fails

where Christ is asked to enter

as lovers come together

with Jesus at the center

But marriage seldom thrives

and homes are incomplete

till He is welcomed there

to help avoid defeat.

In homes where Christ is first

it's obvious to see

Those unions really work

Because Marriage Still Takes Three.

Amen Bib!

Ecclesiastes 4:11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

In His Love,

Suzanne

Go right ahead. My sister cross stitched it and framed it for us for our wedding. It's hanging on our bedroom wall and I have it almost memorized.

I like what you said here tah...

Restoration begins with one person seeing the truth and walking in it..

It only takes one person obeying the Word of God to start the ripple effect...Like a drop of water.

iI plan to read over ALL these posts this week and really let it all sink in.

My family and marriage are both under heavy attack and it just breaks my heart to be going through such extreme trials and seeing what can happen to a family- .

There appears to be a rise in the number of broken families and I was curious as to what WB'S thoughts were on this delicate subject.

I see it as a break down within the family and that the core foundation is being tested.

What are your thoughts- :whistling: .

IN HIS LOVE,

SASSY

well I don't know if anyone else has said this but the bottom line is that people don't pay much attention to spiritual warfare and the consequences of not being prepared for it...bottom line is that the enemy is going to attack where we are most vulnerable and the place that is most cherished. We unwittingly play into his hands and play a significant role in spiritual warfare.

It doesn't solve the problem, but I can honestly say that if we all looked at the problems within the fall out of families we would see the enemies hand in all of it. For his purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. So as Paul says in Ephesians 6 dress in the armor, remember who we battle, stand, withstand and speak boldly never backing down enduring to the end.

2 Thess 2 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin[fn2] is revealed, the son of perdition,

2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God

[fn3] in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

2Th 2:5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?

2Th 2:6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He[fn4] who now restrains will do so until He[fn5] is taken out of the way.

2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

I've been around more then I like to admit sometimes, but the family has been deteriorating for some time now. In the 50's, teens became more rebellious. In the 60's sex became more out in the open, drugs hit the streets, tv became the babysitter and women started to become "free". In the 70's, the father had to either have two jobs or a very good paying one, or both parents had to work in order to live a "decent" life and sex, drugs and rock n roll was the theme of the younger generation. The 80's brought in a different type of rebellion in how the electronics became more important, wages were higher as so did the price of everything go up, bringing on harder times. Factories started moving out of the north to the south for cheaper overhead costs, causing more stress on the families with new homes and more credit. Parents both worked and less time spent with the family. I think this is the decade where the word latch-key kids came from??? The 90's were a full blown with video games, third wave feminism, both parents working more demanding jobs, computers in every house and every other distraction. Both parents had jobs that may take them away from the home for extended periods of time. Kids took care of themselves as both parents worked later and later. Family closeness was all but gone. The 2000's are not over yet, but it truly has not gotten any better.

This is a secular view of what I personally have witnessed. There were more events during these times that can be added as a cause to the division of the family, but I listed what was on the top of my head. If you take each year, starting in the 50's, and add onto it the next decades issues, it stockpiles and the weight crushes the family more and more as time went on.

The attack is greed, vanity, pride, covetousness, and lust, all in the name of progress.

That's my quick take.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
