Hey Vickilynn...

Most definetely a Jesus Freak here! I just saw Toby Mac on the "Boomin' Beyond" tour this weekend...and he actually closed with this song. It was unbelievable! There are also two books called "Jesus Freaks" volumes 1 and 2. I highly recommend those books.

Check out the Jesus Freaks website to learn about the books.

Being a Jesus Freak is about more than loving Jesus. Its about not being ashamed. Its about making a difference even in the face of persecution. Its about going where you are called to go and doing what we are called to do. Being a Jesus Freak is about loving Christ more than life itself.

Shalom Axxman,

You are so right! I tell my kids that they need to live their lives in such a way so as NO ONE will have any doubt they are sold out to Jesus.

That's what being a Jesus Freak is all about. Being UNASHAMED and BOLD and living for Jesus, even when other Christians make fun of you (as we even see here in these discussions) and even when the world thinks you're strange!

We need to live out loud for Jesus!

How many of you would be convicted of being a Jesus Freak today?

What a great song, what a great band, and what remains to this day to be the single best-selling Christian rock album ever!...I am indeed familiar with the two books, which made me go back and read Fox's Book of Martyrs (I believe that is the title), on which the Jesus Freaks series are based...

Shalom,

I'm not asking what you PROMISE. I'm asking what your life looks like NOW.

If being a Christian was illegal NOW, would they have enough evidence from your life NOW to convict you?

Are you a Jesus Freak NOW?

Not asking if you promise to be.

Please don't mis-state the question with the "Peter Principle" of promise. That's not what I'm asking.

Take stock TODAY.

Its a question I cannot answer since I am not in that situation. You are in a sense asking me to evaluate myself. For an accurate assessment, you would really need to ask those around me. Anything I might say concerning myself would be self-serving

Shalom!

Amen! While I love DC Talk and I am using them as a jumping-off point, the real question of this thread is one that we each must answer before G-d. I am hoping that people will individually look at their lives and walk and assess whether they indeed are living as a Jesus Freak, not caring what anyone says, just being totally sold out to G-d and in such a way that ANYONE would know without a doubt that we are Christian.

Would you (or me) be convicted of Christianity, if our life went on trial? Are you (or me) a Jesus Freak>

Shalom,

I ask myself this and I ask you all... is your life lived for Jesus to the extreme?

Are you a JESUS FREAK?

Do you serve G-d no matter what others think?

Check this out:

Jesus Freak - DC Talk

What will people think

When they hear that Im a jesus freak

What will people do when they find that its true

I dont really care if they label me a jesus freak

There aint no disguising the truth

My answer is YES! I am a Jesus Freak! I live my life in such a way as to live for Him, even though people around me may call me strange or not understand. But, G-d's Word is my light and my path and it differs from the World. To follow G-d's Word means that I will be directly opposite of the World and sometimes, people don't understand that.

If being a Christian was ILLEGAL, would my life be the evidence against me??

What about you?

I am most definitely a Jesus freak!! andimluvineveryminuteofit!! God calls me to extreme obedience; i used to really s t r u g g l e with it, but now i look forward to every adventure He takes me on......Stand strong against satan & have an enduring heart & expect GREAT things from our LORD...above all ...REJOICE :emot-questioned:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
