The thing of it is though, the ACLU is not the least bit involved in this case. They are staying completely away from it. Anytime a Christian tries to do anything, the ACLU is right there fighting against it. Here you have the Muslims (and a city council approving it) doing something completely crazy, and no sign of the ACLU.

America guarentees freedom of religion and no matter what religion you practice

My, My, Where did you ever get that idea?? You have only to look around to see that in this Country, the U.S., that every religion has freedom to worship as they please EXCEPT CHRISTIANS!!!

And what rights Christians have to worship is fast being taken away from them.

Christian symbols are not allowed, even when next to Jewish and Islamic symbols. A Witch has more rights now than a Christian has.

Public prays can be said in support of any religion except Christianity.

Actually, they aren't being modest, it's just the scheduled time in Detroit. For example, the first call to prayer in say, Houston Texas is at 5:00 am and the last call to prayer at 7:00 pm.

Islam promotes violence. In Surah 2, verse 190, of the Qur'an, the word of Allah reads as follows:]

"Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors." It goes without saying that the fanatics are more than eager to follow only the first half of that verse. And any one who doesn't support their fanaticism is, of course, "fighting" them. It is therefore permissible to fight and kill anyone you want, in the name of Allah. The fanatics get ample support for such interpretations from the next verse: "And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out[...] if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith." And verse 193: "And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah

similar verses can be found in the Qur'an. For example, Surah 5, verse 33: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, [...] is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land[...]" And Surah 9, verse 5: "[...] fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)." And so on, and so on. In the Sahih Bukhari collection of hadith, vol. 1, book 2, nr. 25,

Allah's Apostle was asked, "What is the best deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle (Muhammad)." The questioner then asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He replied, "To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah's Cause."

The hadith also teaches that, "no Muslim should be killed in Qisas (equality in punishment) for killing a Kafir (disbeliever)" (Sahih Bukhari 9.83.50), and, "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him" (Sahih Bukhari 9.84.57). In other words, there is no punishment for killing a nonbeliever, but if you become a nonbeliever yourself, then you are to be executed immediately. And, of course, if you are killed while slaughtering infidels, you are guaranteed a first-class ticket to Allah's heaven, "The person who participates in (Holy battles) in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostles, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in the battle as a martyr)" (Sahih Bukhari 1.2.35). This is what drives the terrorists and the suicide bombers

The subjugation of women is clearly spelled out in the Qur'an (Surah 4, verse 34):

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore, the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) chastise them (lightly).
