I think you will find that those people you are referring to are Bedouins, Samaritans, some Arabians, etc. And you are correct that they worshiped the same God as did the Jews. But they were not Muslim. Islam was invented hundreds and hundreds of years later with a new god called Allah. He originated from the pagan moon god. Thus the crescent moon on the mosques.

False. You people on these boards need to learn your history.

The early Muslim community did not really have a symbol. During the time of Muhammad Islamic armies and caravans flew simple solid-colored flags generally black, green, or white for identification purposes. In later generations, the Muslim leaders continued to use a simple black, white, or green flag with no markings, writing, or symbolism on it.

It wasn't until the Ottoman Empire that the crescent moon and star became affiliated with the Muslim world. When the Turks conquered Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1453, they adopted the city's existing flag and symbol. Legend holds that the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman, had a dream in which the crescent moon stretched from one end of the earth to the other. Taking this as a good omen, he chose to keep the crescent and make it the symbol of his dynasty. There is speculation that the five points on the star represent the five pillars of Islam, but this is pure conjecture.

The Crescent Moon heralds the beginning of the new month and the new year. During the period of Islamic Empire, the crescent moon was adopted as a state emblem. It had nothing to do with religious beliefs. Today, An Eagle is the popular state emblem in U.S.A. Does that emblem represent the religious beliefs of the citizens of U.S.A.?

Islam was invented hundreds and hundreds of years later with a new god called Allah.

Again, false. In the Aramaic language the word for the Almighty God is

Cerran,

it's not me that needs to study history, It's YOU! What a spin, a revisionist spin, you give to this!

When they adopted the crescent moon is highly debatable. Your attempt at pure obfuscation is readily apparent. I said up above they (Islam) has no connection to the Bible or Ishmael. They have no connection to the One True God! Get it???

If you want to defend this FALSE and EVIL RELIGION, be my guest!

So here, enjoy -

They also said that other City's are now considering this.

Bye bye Ten Commandments! Bye bye God!!!

Hello Islam!

Come soon Lord Jesus.

Rofl it's funny how you only listen to or preach the truth when it suits you. Good luck with that, you'll need it.

God Bless.

Brothers,

Cerran, Faithless, and others are not here to learn about Jesus or what He did for us here on earth. They are here to argue and they feed on your every word. I would like to invite them back to the home page and read the intention of this board; to unite Christians and promote unity in His Word. If that does not describe their intentions, then they would probably feel more at home on a secular board.

To the rest of us, I would suggest we shake the dust and move on.

All for Him,

t.

By NO means can you put Cerran in the same catagory as an aethist. That is totally unwarranted and judgemental. He has posted TOO many testimonies and truths of God, that apparently you are ignorant of to make this call....

If that is truly the intention then start deleting posts that have to do with hating Muslims or other groups. They serve no purpose other than to promote hate.

I serve Christ first and foremost but I also have a duty to the truth. We are all God's children, some may not be saved but we are his children nonetheless.

Sorry that is not scriptural. It might sound like good philosophy, but God's children are those who are believers in Christ, and are therefore the seed of Abraham by faith. The children of God are those who have been saved, period. Everyone else is on the outside looking in. God's children are born again by the Spirit. Even Jesus told the unbelieving Pharisees, "you are of your father, the devil."

We are all God's creation and therefore in the spirit of the word 'creation' we are all God's children. But the terminology of being God's children is different than being 'the Children of God' as used in the Scriptures...there is a difference there, Cerran knows it, I know it, and I would think you would know the difference too...

Ephesians 4

11

And his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

12

to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,

13

until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ;

14

so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
