You are definetely not a failure. And as long as you are searching, God will answer in some or other way.

There is not one person who gets it all. Being His, you are never seen as a failure in the eyes of the Lord. Could it be that you are being impatient and feel like you are not moving forward fast enough? God makes His masterpieces in His time, not ours!

He will never leave you nor will He ever stop loving you. It is us who turn from Him. Don't ever give up ...

In His Love,

Alan

Jesus loves you....now and always. He will not leave you. You have a lot to learn. We all have a lot to learn. Christianity isn't like school where you have to measure up to a certain level or you flunk. In Christianity you start out slowly and grow each day. Evenutually you become more confident but you realize that there is always more to learn.

When Saul was on his way to arrest Christians and he met Jesus on the road to Damascus his life was changed dramatically. But even he had to take a long time to learn and grow. But he did learn and he did grow. And that's where you are. You want to know more and think you should have it all figured out by now. It's only been a few months since you accepted Christ. That's not long. He will not give up on you. In fact, I am sure He is very pleased that you are asking so many questions and that it is important to you to find answers.

By the way, I hope you are recovering from your surgery. I was glad to see you here posting. Don't overdo it, though.

Will Jesus leave me if I don't get it?

No, sweetie! :emot-questioned:

He knows what you are struggling with, and His grace is greater than than ours.

Consider it this way: will a loving parent ever give up on her child just because the child keeps falling down when he walks? Or can't figure out how to perform a math problem?

Think of yourself as that little child. You are living a new life now, and it may take a while for you to figure this new life out. The Lord knows this - better than you do. He'll work it out for you; just keep seeking Him and trusting Him.

The next time you pray, angelique, try imagining yourself actually meeting Him in person. Ask your question to Him that way.

I see a park with a white gazebo, waiting for the Lord, and as He comes you are presenting Him a black rose - how you see your heart. But He places His palm over the rose and turns it red. This rose becomes rooted inside you and becomes a beautiful rose bush.

That's how He see you. :whistling:

What usually happens when a child takes their very first step? The same holds true when we start our walk with God.

I've never seen a child just lay there and not get up and try again. However many times it takes, that child will pick himself up and try it again and before you know it, he's running like the wind.

Like a parent, God is there to catch us when we fall. He's there to help us and guide us through those baby steps. All you have to do is ask Him. Don't be afraid. Talk to Him like you would talk to anyone else. If you don't know how to express what you want or need, just be silent and the Holy Spirit will do the talking for you. All you have to do is approach Him with an open and honest heart and you will have His undivided attention.

Here's some advice I've given others in the past.

You need to study your bible.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.....

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Luke 11

9 So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Pray before you study.

Ask for knowledge..............Ask.

Seek wisdom.....................Seek.

Pray for understanding.......Knock.

The Lord gave us a prayer.( Lords Prayer ) Use it.

Study Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7. This will give you an idea of who Christ is and what He wants from us.

You're not a failure....that's just the devil picking your brain.

Christ will never leave you. It may feel like it at times, but again, that's just the devil messing with your head. Pay no attention to it.

The straight and narrow can be a rough road at times. It has it's ups and downs. If you ever get to a place where you feel you just can't go another step, reach out to the Lord and He will pick you up and carry you. We are the children of God. He is our Father and like any good parent, He will never abandon us.

As for all the things that remain in your head, here is what Christ said to Peter...

Luke 22

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon. Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.

32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail. and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.

Take what you've learned from the world and use it to teach others how to avoid the tricks of the devil.

When I get started, I never know how to end these things.....so I'm just gonna say, I hope some of this helps.

You have a really good night and a better tomorrow.

Peace.

Last minute edit....Neb, I just saw your post.....sorry for stealing your baby concept.....that's twice today.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
