okay, so here's my question....

when its good and it's easy, you know for sure it's God talking to you.

but, when what you're feeling and thinking you need is difficult and could lead to hard times (i.e. walking away from your job), how do you know for sure it's God leading you to do this, or if it's Satan, and his band of demons trying to destroy your life?

i posed this question last night at bible study; our leader said, obviously, to pray about it. well, the more i pray about it, the more my heart wants to do what my head is screaming not to do.

any comments?

I think the real issue hear, is weather it is your will or God's. All the Devil tries to do is to maminpulate our own natural desires and feellings.

Our own feelings emotions and thoughts, most of the time is what distorts our ability to hear God's voice.

I have found from my own experience with God, that in order to hear clearly what God is saying, I must first allow my own feelings and thoughts to be filtered out. This usually takes some time sitting before the thrown room of God, letting all my desires, and feelings to be crucified with Christ.

I order to be filled with God's plan and purposes, I must be emptied of my own.

Once my own will, plan, and feelings are dead, then I enter into position to recieve what I need from God.

The Cross of Christ is God's avenue to put all things in sync with himself. As you go put the things of yourself to death through the Cross, you can then experience the resurection power of Christ in renewed thinking by the Spirit of regeneration. As you pour yourself out before him, he will cause the desire of your heart to line up with his will.

The key to this whole thing is to give up your own way. Once the things of yourself are out of the way you will have know doubt what God's will is for.

Finally do not be afraid to take a leap of faith. God honors faith. If your takes a leap of faith in the wrong direction, God will honor your faith and sets things right, bring you back to the right path. The Lord is always faithful to those who trust him. Never assume the will of God if there is unforgiveness in your heart toward anybody. Release all offense before you seek him.

God Bless your seeking of his will.

sincerely Mike

Hi Elsie,

It's a pretty big ask when we don't know the specifics, like the type of job causing this type of decision. or whether you have had a better offer or even if you like or dislike your job. If people are young in the work force, they very often faced with this problem. I'm not trying to pry into your affairs, but a little bit of info would help us to help you, if you see what I mean. We are all here to support you, little sister.

Hi Elsie. I don't have a Bible quote for you but only you can answer this question. Nobody needs to know any specifics and if they do it's about them and not you. Give your employer a full days work. and doing what is expected of you...If you think it is time to move on then move on. If you can't afford to be out of work then tell any future employers or job applications you do that it is not ok to call your employer at this time. They surely understand that. If you can afford to take off some time from work then give your present employer 2 weeks notice (give them two weeks notice in either case). If not you tell your new employer when you can start. Some people can afford a break between the jobs. If you can, you can...if you can't, you cant'. Keep it positive and on the up and up. Even offer to train someone to take your place (that might depend on how your job is set up...if you work in a department then maybe it is someone else's job description ).It will look great on your resume if you do. Just make sure you are being honest with your employer and your furure employer. Employers want to know why there are gaps in a resume, That's just the way it is. It also depends on the job. Some jobs have a high turnover by nature (construction, cab drivers, typists, bar tenders...I think you get the idea... Some peeps have temp jobs because they are in school or have a family.

God helps those who help themselves. Make decisions and be prepared to take responsiblity for your decision. In this case Elsie, if you want out, give them notice and leave on good terms. It's better to move on than to let resentments build up (if that's the problem...if there IS a problem...and I don't need to know anything like that because it has nothing to do with the answer)

If you have to take some classes to get a better paycheck then do that. Jesus is always there for you but you must do the footwork. Christianity is common sense and after awhile you know what to do. Pray for guidance and wisdom on the things that you need that day in the morning and thank God at night for everything that came your way that day, good or bad, We all know our own stegnths and weaknesses. Other ways I have heard it put are: It's not personal, it's business...or give to Ceasar what is Ceasars and God what is God's. It's the same thing. Treat others like you want to be treated.

The only answer to this question can come from you. Yer not always gonna get a tap on the shoulder..."Hey pssst Elsie is Jesus...what's up girl"...No...Be honest, keep it real..keep it fresh...stay motivated stay positive and give your boss what he/she pays you to do. Be responsible. If you are lucky enough to work in a field that you love, then you will have no problem staying interested so why not just love it all and set some goals for yourself. When you reach one ya go after another...If your thoughts are negative and lack LOVE then it's time to tell Satan to hop off tha bus gus because he's in your way...thats exactly how ya do it...Ya might refrain from saying it outloud though... :th_praying: HALT never get too Hungry, too Angry. too Lonely or too Tired. When I feel any of those things, I'm not going to make a rational decision for myself....and everyone gets hungry angry lonely and tired. I think you get it. I hope it works out for you. Stick with LOVE...If ya ain't feelin' LOVE then do what ya gotta do (go get a drink of water and in this case just make sure you are doing the people you are working for right...Strength and Light my Friend!!

If people are young in the work force, they very often faced with this problem. I'm not trying to pry into your affairs,...Oh yes you are...you must be Hungry, angry, lonely or tired...lolol

WWJD....WWJD...WWJD...would Jesus ask for specifics or "like the type of job causing this type of decision. or whether you have had a better offer or even if you like or dislike your job. If people are young in the work force, they very often faced with this problem ..."

No Jesus wouldn't ask for anything but Love. If Elsie wants to leave her job it has nothing to do with the Intellectualism that mucks up everything these days. Eric, since sarcasm is a passive agressive form of anger I'm sorry you took it that way.I'm not challenging your sincerity or willingness too help...You prolly have a 185 IQ and ya can't help it (I understand...:emot-hug:...lol )It's all good man. Look, it's ok for Elsie to move on to something else. Make sure to leave Love in the wake of your leaving. Give the boss notice, train someone, whatever because we put ourselves into the other persons place and Love and Kindness and Politeness and Manners and Etiquette are the right things to do (Sometimes it's hard because some people try to make a bad situation worse and bring their baggage from home to work but Love is ALWAYS the answer!.) All the questions you asked Eric are about you and what you need and nothing to do with the answer. :emot-hug: The answers are much simplier than that. Do the Boss right but at the same time do yourself right and make sure your resume is in order for her next move. Anything negative and anything that strays from the Love isn't the way. Intellectualism has its' place somewhere but it's an oxymoron when describing the Love that stands alone as the answer. It doesn't need why or how or when...Thats all I'm saying. I wasn't dissin' you eric...Just trying to keep it simple. Stength and Light to All!!

God Bless Elsie. Keep it real(Honest) Keep it fresh(do what ya gotta do today) and treat the peeps like you wanna be treated (with love and respect and kindness). It doesn't mean ya have to be a doormat. Ya sound like ya need a challenge and yer a little bored. Boredom is a spiritual disconnetion and a state of mind...your mind) Do something nice for your boss before ya leave (pray for 'em and wish 'em the best but ya never know when you'll need a reference...ok??...) i'm done. I hope I didn't ramble on (Led Zeppelin II :emot-hug::thumbsup: )

I agree with what Mike said. For me, it required alot of time (months, at first) to get so frustrated with the situation that I really didn't care what happened, as long as SOMETHING was decided. I learned as soon as I got to that place that He provided the answer, and NOT before.

I also found that this can be challenging to understand or attain. I don't know where you are in your walk, but if you need help putting this concept into practice, I found Jeanne Guyon's Experiencing the Depths of Christ EXTREMELY helpful. She is very practical, and presents very simple exercises that helped me learn how to get to get out of my own way faster. Hudson Taylor and many others highly recommend her writings.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
