Yoou are just being human sweetie! I've been a christian about 35 yrs and during that time a couple of times I thought I had done the unforgiveable...or so I though. Then I remembered...."if we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us".... I've sort of paraphrased but I think you know what I mean. And it's good that you felt convicted right away...God works like that and He is always willing to forgive us and love us!

I know you regret doing that and have been forgiven. And yes do move on, but.....think of what put you in that situation of weakness. I think we are all obligated to examine how we put ourselves in situations that cause us a moment of weakness.

All of this is said in a loving manner. I know you will make the better choice next time.

Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Hi everyone,

I haven't been a Christian too long - about four months. I have turned myself around 180 degrees as I heard my pastor say about himself. Well, today I have found myself slipping up and resorting to my old ways.

This is what happened...I was in the dunkin donuts drive through and all of a sudden I heard the roar of the fighter jets from our local air base. These were no ordinary jets, they are visiting from England. It was AMAZING - three of them flyin real low wing to wing! I quickly got my phone out to tell my husband they were headed his way and then it was my turn in line. I would never normally use the phone at a time like this, but I had to tell him!

I was trying to juggle the coffee, the change and the kids muffin all while telling DH to go outside. I'm not too coordinated as it is and I was fumbling around. As I was pulling out, the server at the window says, as he was turning away (really scarcasticly) "Don't drop your phone..."

Well, I slipped up. I was so shocked to hear that from him that I said, "Thanks for the advice A-h-."

I immediately regretted it, but still feel like a jerk. I asked for forgiveness and later my daughter told me she also asked God to forgive me. How's that for setting a good example?

Well, the first step to true repentance is accepting the you made a mistake, which you have already done. The next thing to do is to ask God to forgive you and to cleanse you with the precious blood, Jesus shed for the remission of our sins. The next step is where many of us get it wrong, you need to receive God's forgiveness for your sin. You can just say " Father I acknowledge that Jesus paid for my sins at calvary and now I receive the cleansing blood to wash away my sin, Thank you Lord" Amen" It is a simple as that. Now the next time satan reminds you and tries to condemn you, speak out loud that "there's therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" say it over and over again until satan and those feelings of guilt fade away. God Bless

OHHH What a wonderful example you set for your daughter!!! You listened to the conviction of the Spirit and repented of your sin, then shared it with her!! What she did was an extension of what she has seen her mommy do :-)

and...now you will also think twice before letting such attitudes to have dominion. The more you practice spending time with the Lord each day, reading His word and practicing what He says, asking Him to help you have a better attitude, the less you will give in to those temptations to mouth off in the wrong way (which we all have done). You will see that He is moulding you into a sweet, fruitful light for others see Jesus in.

Last night I read the Bible for an hour - much longer than I normally have time for. I read it until I was ready to fall asleep. I was on Psalm's but it was so slow going that I switched to Proverbs and I will tell you...

I got SOOOO much out of it. I mean, I realized things about myself that I never thought about before.

Thanks for all your replies!

You've made the slip up, now just remember to get back up, dust off your britches and get back to walking again.

We fall down. We get up. We fall down. We get up.

If we were instantly perfect as Christians, we'd find it very difficult to fit in here in an imperfect world.

We're going to make mistakes.

Say the prayers, right the wrong. Ask forgiveness and don't let the past consume you.

Remember to fill your ears and eyes with positive goodness from God.

You're like a sponge.

The more good stuff you can put inside you, the more it will come pouring out of you in time to come.

Immerse yourself in reading the Bible, listening to Christian music, and other Christian friends.

Don't let this get to you.

I don't know one other person on this earth who has ever been perfect...

except Jesus.

Praying for you.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
