Got any rivers you think are uncrossable?

Got any mountains you can't tunnel through?

God specializes in things thought impossible;

He does the things others cannot do. -Eliason

Some of you will know this verse; we used to sing it in Sunday School when I was a child. But do we really believe it? Do we believe our God is the God of the impossible?

Jer 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and inscrutable things which you do not know.

Jam 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

Jam 1:6 But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.

Jam 1:7 For do not let that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord;

Jam 1:8 he is a double-minded man, not dependable in all his ways.

If we pray and ask God to do something for us, do we pray believing he will, or do doubts persist. I know I pray at times and then doubts arise not as to whether God can answer my prayers but as to whether he will, or is it in accordance with his will.

Luk 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows.

Should we doubt that God can answer prayer when he even knows the number of hairs on our heads? He cares for us. He is our loving Heavenly Father.

Luk 11:9 And I say to you, Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened to you.

What happens when we ask? We shall receive an answer to our prayers. Sometimes it is not the answer we want, but our Lord and Heavenly Father knows what is best for us. We need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and allow him to lead us through our day.

Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

If we are truly walking in the Spirit we will not doubt that all things are possible with God.

Luk 18:27 And He said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Mar 9:23 Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

QUESTION: SO, WHO DO WE WORSHIP? ANS: THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE.

the uncrossible river, if a person is relying on God to get them across, God will make available or visible a stepping stone, one that can.... you may only see one stone but it is there..... the second or next stone(s) may not be visible until you are on the last one you can see.....

I have yet to come to a river that was uncrossible, nor a mountain that was unclimblible....

I do believe that God is able but is He willing to answer my prayers? I fall into the same trap of belief and wondering if it's His will. I'm waiting for an answer now actually and the clock is ticking. (timing is critical - need answers now) He has answered me in the past numerous times and I was sure of them because I was seeking spiritual things. He has never failed me there ever. But this one is a little different. It doesn't go against Scripture and I don't think it will hurt me according to my evil mind but He knows better.

Right on, Mike! Ya know, sometimes we don't get that stone, though, and we walk on across the water with our eyes on Jesus like Peter did!!! Praise God, He is more than capable of bringing us through, over, out, whatever He may choose!!!

Irene, I totally agree and thanks for the post

I had trouble with this for sometimes He does not make a way to cross the river for He really doesn't want you on the other side. I've been there and sometime it takes years to realize that the answer to a preyer to cross the river was not unheard or ignored, but was simply NO. I didn't bother to listen to the rest that said you'll die over there; it's not going to happen.

Sometimes I'm still like a 2 year old and NO just really doesn't sink in very well. :D

Wow! Makes ya think! Everything you said, I know, I believe them in my head. My problem is that sometimes I have difficulty believing I'm eligible for God's miracles, goodness, grace....Know what I mean? Somedays it's hard to have faith.

It's good to be reminded, though! :D

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
