I was born in 1952 and as I now look back at all the changes that have taken place my heart is soooo grieved. It is scary as my own kids get married and have babies. I think to myself, "what will their world be like?" I do know without a shadow of doubt that our God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow....and that gives me comfort.

kids are being told its ok to be gay and actually teach them what to do and how to do it

marriage is no longer till death over 55 percent of all marriages end in divorce

I could go on !!

What gets me is the next time someting happens all will cry whay did God let it happen

And what will we as christians say??

it just breaks my heart that this country is lost and only an mercial from God can save it, but the question is WILL HE ????

None of this really bothers me. You can pray in school, just do it on your own time. Nobody can stop you from saying a personal prayer. I'm not convinced Bibles are against the rules, there have been a few stories here and there about a student getting in trouble, but I think that's more the exception than the rule. I see no problem with learning about what Muslims believe, it's good to understand those different from us. Gay marriage doesn't bother me as much as it does many of you, however the high divorce rate does indeed sadden me.

But I will tell you what does break my heart: the untold numbers of people dying from disease and starvation in Africa and other parts of the world. The fact that there are still totalitarian governments throughout the world who abuse their people rather than serve the people's best interest. The fact that so many governments seek to keep their populace in a constant state of fear. It breaks my heart that we live in one of (if not the) richest countries in the worl, yet 1 in 5 (a whopping 20%) of our children are living below the poverty line.

I could go on.

Yes, it seems to get much worse at a much faster pace, in ways that affect us so negatively. When I add that to what's going on in my private life, right when I need that much more faith, it destroys my faith instead of strenghtening it. I know it says God won't put more on us than we can handle. That's so easy to say when you aren't going thru it. I've prayed myself out. I pray just in case He's listening.

He's listening, kat. When I go through periods like you describe I think of myself as plain metal going through the fire of trial and coming out tempered steel. Don't let anything destroy your faith; in the end it's all any of us have.

I agree, Glory. Sometimes that is all that is going to sustain us.

You know what's even sadder than that?

It doesn't have to be that way.....we could do something about that.....but we won't.

We could make a difference if we wanted too.....but we don't.

That's what's really sad.

We can, but we won't.

HERE ARE A FEW SCRIPTURES THAT MIGHT MOVE YOU TO SEEK THE FACE OF THE LORD FOR OUR NATION AND THE NATIONS IN THESE LAST DAYS. WE KNOW THE TIME IS NEAR, HOWEVER, IT IS NOT THE TIME TO GIVE UP! JESUS SAID OCCUPY UNTIL I COME. THERE ARE STILL LOST SOULS THAT NEED TO HEAR THE GOSPEL AND NEED HEARTS THAT BREAK BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY SEE HAPPENING TO OUR NATION AND ARE MOVED TO STAND IN THE GAP. THANK YOU IRENEM.

Nehemiah 1

1The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,

2That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.

3And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

4And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

5And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

6Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.

7We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.

8Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:

9But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

10Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

11O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.

................................................................................

...........................................

Ezekiel 22

30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

31Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

................................................................................

...........................................

2Chronicles 7

14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I can feel your sorrow and your heart as I to can see the wickedness growing so fast in our world. I would wish to God that the wicked could be saved but they will not unless they come to repentance and if they will not then they will face the judgment of God.

The signs are all around so much that even the wicked can see them yet they turn away still.

I have a few scriptures that may encourage you as it is us that God will come and save us and not the world.

2 Timothy 1:12--"For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day".

Jude 1:24-25--"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."

It's so good to know that in a twisted and sick world that there is a hand holding ours and we have a hand to hold as well and he is able to keep us.

Blessings

Twenty million starving and writhing in pain

Big strong people unwilling to give

Small in vision and perspective"

the world belongs to someone else for now. but there is light in some places. i attended my nephew's graduation this year. it opened with a prayer to God and was prayed 'in the name of Jesus, Amen.' publicly and over the microphone. what we see on the news is not all there is. you are still salting the earth and lighting it up just being here.

paul said:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
