Have people turned satan into nothing more than a myth?

Have Christians become som complacent in their daily walk that the no longer believe in satan? The general population I seem to encounter think he cannot do any harm these days. Does he have us right where he wants us waiting as a lion to pounce?

Yes. Anyone who discounts satan's ability to mislead, disceive and devour is in mortal jeopardy. Satan is here and working on destroying our faith and our salvation.....remember, he hates the Lord and His creations (that would be us) and seeks only to kill and destroy. Our only protection from the father of lies is the armor of God.

Perhaps some have, but let's remember that all Satan has to do is have us not see him in his ways; therefore, finding no immediate need to seek Jesus on this matter. Satan is very evasive in his was and devious in his intentions.

My opinion concerning satan is that we have to have a balance concerning him. Not knowing that he is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour is very dangerous and then on the other hand giving him glory for every little bad thing that happens I am sure just floats his flame. Anyone who steps out and does anything for the Lord will know that there is evil at work in this world, and hopfully are lead in the direction that enlightens them that as a believer they have power over the devil in Jesus Name.

In my opinion (And we all know what that is worth...lol), christianity as a whole has, in may cases, been rendered impotent in todays society and considered nothing of more value then say...Aesop's fables or any other fairy tale!

It's sad, but that mindset is creeping into many churches.

Be mindful that it first must creep into the hearts of those in church for it to even reach the doors.

Giving it some thought, yes, it is. Just skimming through posts one could walk away with thinking that it is the churches fault, and not the believer. Placing the focus back on us, where the problem starts, puts the spotlight on our personal walk and not on a church.

I'd be willing to bet that less than 10% of the people who attend church open their bibles outside of church.

For the majority, everything they learn comes from church.
