Atheism... I cannot imagine the utter grief of emptiness and believing that one only has oneself to rely upon and answer to... that after this... "life" - that there is no other.
What you imagine I feel is really only what you think you would feel if ever you learned that there is no God. You are imposing your own feelings on what you think I must feel. I can only speak for myself and a few close family members who are atheists, there is no grief.

That's why I said "I"... And I cannot imagine it because from the other side of the veil - I have such amazing peace and grace in my life from God... I never had it before I was a Christian. I was just ... here. Breathing in and out and doing what I needed to do .... Now.. there is just a Peace and Love that I cannot adequately describe to one who does not have God. It's not easy to put into words. My life is not perfect - far from it, but with God, I have the security of a well-loved child. If I did not have faith and hope in God - I really would not want to be here. I cannot (again "I")imagine going back to the emptiness. Blessings to you Hitchey.
Yes, I remember those childhood days. I suppose I can see a certain advantage in having the sense that those days were not quite gone, that God was taking care of everything as a parent would.

You said that you never had that sense before you were Christian. You are not suggesting you were once an atheist? Did I ask you this before?

How's your Mum?
Doing about as well as we could hope. I didn't realize I had talked about her previously.

OH NO - Never have been an atheist... I was born and raised in the church and I've always believed in God. But there is a distinct difference between acknowledging His existence and ... Believing - really believing. I was always a "Christian"... but when I was 19 - I became a CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a catharsis that I never imagined. I went through all the motions, but was "luke-warm" in my beliefs... I knew that God loved me - but it did not seem real until I truly gave my life to Him. It is a peace like none other. Yes, you've told me you take your Mum to get her hair done... I used to do that for mine also.

Dear One

Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelation 22:16-17

This Is The Opposite Of Learning

Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

Proverbs 1:28-29

This Is Learning

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

Isaiah 58:2

This Is Sin

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

John 16:9

This Is Salvation

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Ah!

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Psalms 122:5-6

This Is No Game

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For God Gave His Son

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

That You Might Live Eternally

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

It's where all the cool kids kick it.

Is that what they are?

You'll either come to know Jesus as the Great Redeemer, or the Grim Reaper. 'Unbeliever' isn't cool.

"Cool" is always a matter of personal taste.

According to the Oxford Dictionary, atheism is defined as:

atheism |ˈāθēˌizəm|

noun

the theory or belief that God does not exist.

Let's look at the word 'theory' a little closer. As described by Oxford...

theory |ˈθēərē; ˈθi(ə)rē|

noun ( pl. -ries)

a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, esp. one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained : Darwin's theory of evolution.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
