Is anyone here competent in Hebrew?

I had a very odd spiritual experience last night. As I was reflecting on Nehemiah, I realized that Nehemiah still lives on this day, in heaven. I also thought that maybe he was reading what I was writing. At that moment a got a strange feeling, and a few words popped in my head. Adom shalom addai. I don't know Hebrew. So I find it miraculous that I came up with three Hebrew words. I Googled the words individually to find out what they roughly meant- Adom is red, shalom is peace to you or something like that, and addai is man of God. I'm not 100% on that- it is Google after all. But any insight what this means would be great.

Err, thanks. I think. No coffee, plenty of sleep. I understand it's in human nature to call anything supernatural the result of craziness, but God is supernatural, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for your opinion, but that's not what I'm asking for.

GOD talks to HIS people all the time.

I do not know Hebrew but I will e-mail my mentor who reads and writes it.

Okay, once more. You need to back up a claim of supernatural revelation with something tangible. What evidence do you have that this is a word from God? I have no doubt that you thought you heard something but it is far too soon to claim that it is a word from God, especially with nothing more to back it than "because I say so." Credibility in spiritual matters is crucial. Do you recall the Oral Roberts controversy in the eighties, when he claimed that God had told him to raise $5 million or God was going to call him home? That was the same thing.

Eliminate all rational explanations before you begin to consider the supernatural. Otherwise, if you're hearing voices, get yourself checked out by a mental health professional. Auditory hallucinations are a symptom that something is seriously wrong with the brain chemistry.

I respect your opinion, but this is for my own experience. I don't know if it was tongues from heaven, or some crazy coincidence where I sputtered Hebrew for no reason.

Either way, I don't want your advice, to put it bluntly. I asked for interpretation of the Hebrew, not a diagnosis on my mental state. Thank you.

Hi Pokemaughan...I don't think it makes sense in hebrew...'red or red-cheeked peace addai', besides the word order is suspect....sounds just as if it is hebrew sounding gobble-de-gook. I have heard people praying in tongues, and caught snippets of praise in hebrew, that they are unaware of saying...and once long long ago I looked up in the star-lit sky for a sign from G-d about Israel, and found by joining together the stars that I saw, up came the word Y'mol...but I never could get a handle on it, and ended up smiling at my enthusiasm to seek and believe, but realising that sometimes I got carried away. Enjoy Nehemiah...great account. Botz.

The Biblical standard on hearing from God is not to remove all rational explanations first. It is to test it against the Scriptures. If it doesn't agree with God's Word, it's false. If it does line up with Scripture; it is possible he heard from God.

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding of the actual spelling of the words, since you stated you don't know Hebrew. One letter wrong can change the whole meaning. I know this isn't helpful but it is just a thought.

You Could Be Asking The Wrong Folk

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally,

James 1:5(a)

HE Sent HIS Son To Die For You

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

And HE Holds No Contempt

and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:5(b)

Nor Does HE Lack

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psalms 19:7

So Ask God

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

And Trust

Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

Numbers 6:24-27

Love, Your Brother Joe

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. Joel 2:32

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
