How do we define God's goodness? Do we: A) Study the Scriptures to learn of God's ways and goodness? or B) Decide what goodness is and then apply that to God when we read the Scriptures? Now I am sure everyone here is jumping on, "A - of course!" But do we? Do we really? If you are claiming "A" right now - let me ask you . . . . how has your understanding of goodness been changed by reading the Scripture? So this is the challenge: I'd like to see postings of Scriptures that show what God's goodness is. (Now, I don't mean posting, "The Lord is good" - because that doesn't explain what goodness is, what it looks like, how it operates. This is what I want to see.) All right? Go! There's so many scriptures. However, to pick just one - how bout this one? 2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of [them] whose heart [is] perfect toward him. Now how special is that? The scripture doesn't say to show Himself strong in that particular person, or those living over there - but to those "whose heart is perfect toward Him."
