Great men of GOD, men sent by the LORD to teach and lead HIS people to what was greatness and power and understanding of the totality of GOD, taught that GOD was sovereign in HIS creation. Both in the saving of HIS people by election and and in the reprobation of the lost by virtue of withholding HIS saving grace and by the simple act of not choosing them for salvation.

Some of these men;

Martin Luther, John Fox, John Bunyan (the authr of "Pilgrims Progress") Johnathan Edwards, Spurgeon, Whitfeild, Toplady, Ussher, John Trapp, Thomas Goodwin, Thomas Manton, Arthur Pink, Witsius, Gill, and a host of others all have joined their voice and teaching to large groups of the studied biblically learned, groups like;

The General Assembly of the Presbiterian Church (The Westminster Catechism 1688), The Great Synod of Dort (1618), the Heidlegurg Confessions, the Belgic confessions, and that list goes on and one.

In the face of such great a cloud of witnesses, new doctrins were added to the church over the last 300 years. The leaven of humanism that Satan attempted to infuse into the church in 1618 has slowly been kneaded into the dough and leavening the whole lump. So much so that today there are those who will say man has the right and the "freewill" to thwart the plans and intentions of GOD.

In the face of such a list of amazing theologians, men who spent their life and livelihoods in the pursuit of learning and sharing the truth of scripture, men raise themselves up and declair that such men are heretics and teaching false doctrins. This charge having been brought by those who bring in new doctrins.

I submit to you that the Bible teaches that in the end time they will not endure sound doctrins and that GOD HIMSELF will send strong delusion so that many will believe the lies. The closer we come to the time of the end, the more heavely we need to lean of the understanding and insight of those who have come before.

I for one will put my trust in the teachings GOD has given us through these great men and others before I will put my trust in the teachings of the latter day writers or those who puff themselves up to declare the teachings of these men to be "unorthodox" or the teaching of Demons.

The debate on GOD's will with regard to HIS plan for sin and reprobation will continue amoungst the greatest of scholars. But, when one person chooses to declare the other demonic or to call into question the salvation of those who believe in the opposit doctrin, that person declares himself to be all knowing and exalts himslef to the position of a god.

I will always state what I am convinced of with regard to my JESUS and HIS sovereign grace and authority. I welcome anyone to do the same. In the end, GOD's will is done and HIS word will not return to HIM without accomplishing what HE intends.

If we want to have a thread on Church history we should really have one and include the Church leaders who saved us from heresy by the great councils, who defined what books and letters the bible would include and who got us from the great persecutions in Rome, through the Dark Ages and spread the Gospel all over the world, and yes let

Strange, cause you were the one who flatly denied that you were following the teachings of men.

Secondly, none of my comments about demonic theology were directed at any of the great teachers of the past, but were squarely leveled at your unbiblical, false teachings which make God ultimately responsible for the sin of man.

My personal library contains all of the writings of men like them. I have all of the writings and sermons of Gill, Pink, Rapp, Shedd, Whitfield, Luther Calvin, etc. None of them would agree with or approve of the nonsense YOU are teaching. They would roll over in their graves to think that you were using their names and their teachings support your ridiculous assertions that God is responsible for making the world sinful and that the current sinful world and its separation from and enmity with God is by God's design.

That's the problem. It is not the great scholars that are debating whether or not God's sovereignty is the cause for man's sin. None of them teach that nonsense. It is YOU that are perverting the teachings of classical, orthodox Calvinism for your heretical, unbiblical teachings.

No one who believes God to be ultimate facilitator of man's sin is teaching the Bible, much less true biblical Christianity. No TRUE Christian believes that God is designed the world to be sinful, that the world we see is exactly what God intended to be. All true Christians will reject with full and utter contempt and disgust, your extremist, heretical teachings
