JESUS!

I just wanted to yell Jesus on the Board. So people would say, "Why would someone yell Jesus on the Board?"

Let me tell you about a boy named Johnny and a girl named Pearl. Johnny was 10 years old and Pearl 19. Johnny was in Love. He rode his bicycle everyday down to the boardwalk in the summer. Just hoping to get a glimpse of Pearl. Just to catch a whiff of the scent of the noxema and Coppertone she slathered on. He would get up early and ride his bike all the way down to the beach. Sitting there waiting for her to walk by. His friends thought he was crazy. They said why she's 19 and besides that not interested in you at all. Yet he hung around and around longing pineing for the sight of her. It satisfied him to just see her. Yet his friends daily called him crazy as the summer wasted away.

Well old Johnny is full grown now. That summer and Pearl long past. Yet today Johnny pines away all summer like the one in the distant past. His friends tell him He's crazy as He looks at Jesus and speaks of the Love in His heart. Sure he replaced Pearl with his wife of 47 years. Yet there was a part of Him fulfilled when He came to Jesus that no noxema could ever waft full. A part that no long legged beauty could ever enchant. He looks at Jesus and longs to know and be known. His friends still think He's crazy. They just don't understand. Jesus is interested in Johnny. As a matter of fact He likes Johnny . He has to Love Johnny for He formed him in Love. Even more He likes Johnny , He likes hanging out with him.

This isn't a Kinky story. It's a story about devotion and Love. It's a story about , Why someone would yell Jesus on the Board. Or maybe even in Wal Mart. :il:

Peace Saint's,

Dave

I understand, Dave.

My husband doesn't understand the joy and love of my life either. He just doesn't know what he's missing....

What a shame.

I am so greatful that my hubby and I both have Jesus as the love of our lives. It hasn't always been that way. I am so thankful that Jesus is so patient, not wanting anyone to perish but for all to come to Him.

To God be the glory!!!!

Great story! I hope I am willing to do that. We play a game where some one says Jesus, and then another person says it, and we keep saying it louder and louder until all but one have chickened out. The one who is willing to do it the loudest wins. Now of course you have to play this at the grocery store, or at a time that isn't totally dosrespectful. But we have done it in restaurants and waiting in lines, sometimes people get embarrassed because it isn't acceptabel to just shout JESUS out but I am not a socially acceptable girl! I don't want to be. SO, I usually win!

To the embarrassment of my friends. This game started with a different word that wasn't at all Godly. We changed it. My husband and I do silly stuff like that all the time!

if someone yelled JESUS in walmart, the context would no doubt be misunderstood. but here on this board, there's no mistaking that it's a shout of joy and praise and love! :il:

Jesus, the very thought of Thee

With sweetness fills the breast;

But sweeter far Thy face to see,

And in Thy presence rest.

Nor voice can sing, nor heart can frame,

Nor can the memory find

A sweeter sound than Thy blessed Name,

O Savior of mankind!

O hope of every contrite heart,

O joy of all the meek,

To those who fall, how kind Thou art!

How good to those who seek!

But what to those who find? Ah, this

Nor tongue nor pen can show;

The love of Jesus, what it is,

None but His loved ones know.

Jesus, our only joy be Thou,

As Thou our prize will be;

Jesus be Thou our glory now,

And through eternity.

O Jesus, King most wonderful

Thou Conqueror renowned,

Thou sweetness most ineffable

In Whom all joys are found!

When once Thou visitest the heart,

Then truth begins to shine,

Then earthly vanities depart,

Then kindles love divine.

O Jesus, light of all below,

Thou fount of living fire,

Surpassing all the joys we know,

And all we can desire.

Jesus, may all confess Thy name,

Thy wondrous love adore,

And, seeking Thee, themselves inflame

To seek Thee more and more.

Thee, Jesus, may our voices bless,

Thee may we love alone,

And ever in our lives express

The image of Thine own.

O Jesus, Thou the beauty art

Of angel worlds above;

Thy Name is music to the heart,

Inflaming it with love.

O most sweet Jesus, hear the sighs

Which unto Thee we send;

To Thee our inmost spirit cries;

To Thee our prayers ascend.

Abide with us, and let Thy light

Shine, Lord, on every heart;

Dispel the darkness of our night;

And joy to all impart.

Jesus, our love and joy to Thee,

The virgin

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
