  1. I'm saved, settled, and sure - so I'm ready for the Rapture. Today would be great. I give thanks that my entire family is ready. In the meantime, we will try the best we can to yield to the Master for His use.
  2. 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 KJV 9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 KJV 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
  3. Many places in the world appear to be a powder keg with the fuse lit. Maybe we're looking at signs of the end of this age.
  4. I'm non-denominational. I attend a small church that teaches the Gospel of the Grace of God.
  5. Yes, that was a nice little trip down memory lane. Several of my prized possessions growing up were a Duncan yo-yo, a Duncan top, and a little bag of marbles with a couple of good shooters. Things were simple then. Anyone remember how much fun a pile of topsoil was? Mom and dad usually left it awhile for the kids to have their fun.
  6. Multiple historical records that agree is not enough for you, so it appears that you would have to have been there. Further, countless millions have testified that God is real and they talk to Him every day. On top of that, the Holy Bible prooves itself thousands of times. With all that you reject, what could we possibly have to offer you?
  7. I'm happy to hear the good news, but your daughter will remain in my prayers.
  8. These people will be in my prayers every day.
  9. Hello and WELCOME. Genesis 1:26-28 NASB Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Genesis 2:7 NASB Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
  10. Happy Birthday Brother George, and I wish you many more. I echo the thanks for your ministry here at Worthy.
  11. Hello and WELCOME to Worthy. I hope that you enjoy the fellowship here as much as I do. You will be in my prayers.
  12. John 3:16-18 NASB "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 2 Peter 3:9 NASB The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the entire world, but many will reject him. Yes, we do have free will to accept or reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Try FOREKNOWLEDGE for a better understanding of predestination. God knew all before the foundation of the world, including the number of hairs on each person's head. God doesn't want anyone to die in their sins without Christ, but He won't force them to accept Salvation.
  13. See Mark 5:1-20. These are most likely demons taking possession of unsaved people, but they are not permitted to kill their victims. Further, the victims will not be able to kill themselves, so they will have to endure the horrible physical and mental pain for the entire five months. I also agree with Brother Joe that it's a foretaste of the other side.
  14. Hello and WELCOME to Worthy. You will be in my prayers.
  15. I think that Syria is a no-win situation, and the U.S. should stay out of it. Getting rid of Assad might mean giving chemical weapons to terrorists who will in turn use them on Israel.
  16. There are also common sense issues that MUST be dealt with: public health, sanitation, and disease control - to name a few. Another problem involves the ownership of the property they're occupying and what they're doing with it. You could guess what many business owners have to do before they can open their businesses in the morning. Think the worst and you have it. Property owners also have rights, but let's say you want to be nice and allow the homeless to use your property. Guess who's responsible for cleaning things up and meeting health regulations. You are, and you're fined if you fail to meet the health codes. By the way, other property owners close to your property might also have damages they could collect because of losses related to what you allow on your property. The problem is more complicated than you can imagine.
  17. Matthew 22:36-40 NASB "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." This is not easy to do. We can only make the attempt with God's help - God working in and through us. That requires prayer and yielding to God. So, the attempt gives God all the Glory - just as it should.
  18. It IS SIN for a man to say that he lives without sin.
  19. All members - past and current - of the Church which is the Body of Christ are completely united in Salvation issues. After all, this is the only way to become a member of the Body of Christ. Yes, we have disagreements over non-salvation issues in this short life, but all of that will be left behind when we go home to be with the Lord. Many of the issues we argue about in this short life are not worth arguing over.
  20. The whole Middle-East has been a powder keg for quite some time, and the fuse is lit.
  21. I think that you already have the answers to most of your questions. Pray about your work situation.
