I think that the first post in this thread is quite reasonable, and so are the implications that arise. I must also say that the applicable Scriptures from the Holy Bible are pretty blunt and to the point. I didn't say this to rub salt in anyone's wounds, rather just to acknowledge the truth. We are all guilty of many sins - our part is to recognize them and seek forgiveness. Thankfully, we have a Lord and Saviour who paid for our sins with His blood. Thank you Lord.

All I can say is SAD AND REVOLTING! -
Pre-Tribulation Rapture - Take special notice of the Scripture in bold. 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 NASB 50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. 55 "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 NASB 9 For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 NASB 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 NASB 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing. Revelation 3:10 NASB 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Is this anxiety, or something from God??

From everything you've said about him, why would God want you to break up with him? I would suggest some patience - wait and see. -
Amen! I pray for Israel and know that God isn't through with Israel. God will fulfill every promise He has made to Israel, and that time might be soon.

The Second Coming of Christ has not happened yet. Future: Isaiah 2:1-5 NASB The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 Now it will come about that In the last days The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. 3 And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war. 5 Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD. Isaiah 9:2-7 NASB The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. 3 You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. 5 For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. 6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this. Micah 4:1-3 NASB And it will come about in the last days That the mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains. It will be raised above the hills, And the peoples will stream to it. 2 Many nations will come and say, "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For from Zion will go forth the law, Even the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 3 And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations. Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war.

WN: Bloomberg vows to fight reversal of NYC soda ban - Washington Tim

Yes, the rule was stupid. It was also illegal and Unconstitutional in a free country. Bloomberg needs and wants a dictatorship - just like others in Washington, D.C. -
I'm a retired police officer with nearly 25 years of answering domestic disputes. I like all the answers given by others, but I must add that the success rate for a wife-beater stopping is not good. I would follow this statement with: "but God can do anything". Some women live most of their lives with husbands that beat them. Maybe they stay for security or fear of the unknown if they leave. I view wife-beaters as cowardly since they take out their aggression on someone that poses little or no threat to them. Sadly, most wife-beaters never stop. Christian wife-beaters should be ashamed to call themselves Christians. There are usually many resources available to women and children who need to leave an abuser, so they don't need to be so afraid of the unknown. It is my firm opinion that wife-beaters need to be charged with EVERY physical abuse. I know this doesn't address the mental and emotional abuse, but it's a start.

It's almost impossible to imagine how cold-hearted and psychopathic those responsible were. A huge number of monsters carried out the holocaust.

Is It Time For Biblical Conservatives To Quit?

WN: State lacks doctors to meet demand of national healthcare law - L
nChrist replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in U.S. News
It isn't as attractive to become a doctor these days. First, it takes long years and a fortune for the education. Second, the malpractice insurance is absolutely outrageous. A starting doctor either has to join a group of other doctors who defray part of the expenses and/or borrow money to get through the first 6 months to a year. Also consider a nightmare of documentation and paperwork to satisfy everyone. Know that all of the costs start on day one with the doctor taking nothing home for pay except what he or she borrowed to get by. In short, it's hard and expensive to become a doctor, so fewer people want to become one. -
All will stand before a righteous Judge one day.

Don't Follow Jesus Because You Want To Be Rich
nChrist replied to GlidingWings's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
Philippians 4:11-13 NASB 11 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. 13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Hebrews 13:5-6 NASB Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," 6 so that we confidently say, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?" -
Thanks for the information. I'm really not surprised and agree completely.
