They don't care what the problem is; the goal is to cause civil unrest and rock the boat. They waited till everyone is feeling cooped up from the virus and then exploded. We complain about the propaganda of the news, it is worse in the university class rooms. They no longer tolerate independent thought. If you disagree they flunk you, and it can get expensive to retake classes.

I know that you believe Christ arose on the Sabbath but Scriptures indicate otherwise. I was speaking of the Jewish calendar. I am all for using the original proper names for these holy days and for celebrating all of them. But the fact remains that Paul indicated He arose on Firstfruits and became our First fruits. That would be the first day of the week. However, we should respect each others beliefs about things like this and strive to keep the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace. Eph 4:2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, Eph 4:3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

High holy days, like Saturdays, are days that people did not work and worshiped on. Some days had feasts associated with them. That week had the feast of unleavened bread together with Passover, and others as well like Feast of First fruits. I understood that not all were high holy days with no work. Jesus arose on first fruits when they could work and anoint Jesus body. But it had disappeared!. So the body had to be in the tomb before sundown on the day he died, which was the beginning of the new high feast day. Then Saturday was also a high feast day. So He could have arisen any time after sun down on Saturday till before dawn Sunday morning remembering that Jewish days started at sundown the night before.

I want to add that love is compassionate and not condemning. They are supposed to be restoring the fallen person, not giving them a tongue lashing.

Yes every blessing is from Jesus. People don't understand that those blessings are IN Jesus. When we are in Him we are blessed with every Spiritual blessing because they are In Christ Himself. When our treasures are IN Christ and we are found In Him, we are truly blessed. When we seek blessings that are from the world, or are material blessings that are needed by all like food and clothing, shelter etc. , they are not eternal in nature. Yet God still provides for us. It is easy to be like Esau] and grab some hot cereal when we are hungry but disregard our spiritual heritage.

I tend to shrink back from the word obey because I was trapped in legalism after I first came to God for forgiveness. Words have different connotation with different people. To me it obey meant slavery and never being good enough. 3 years later I learned about grace. I had just started to drink this freedom in when my mom said "but you still need to be good". Her experience was opposite of mine. She had encountered those who think that those who proclaim once saved always saved think they can continue to sin and live like the world. But Jesus had said that only God is good. After being filled with the Holy Spirit I learned again to walk in the Spirit. Doing this I sought to follow wherever the Lord took me and obey His voice blindly like Abraham did.. It was really exciting to not know where I was going but to step out obeying His voice step by step like a treasure hunt. I was not told why till later. Trust and obey. Like Luther I learned that not only are we saved by faith, we also live by faith. Believe means to trust in, rely on, like little children depending on their father, we depend on our Daddy daily. We rely on Him. We give thanks to Him and worship Him. Those who are led by the Spirit are not under the law. We have it written on our hearts.

It has been brought to our attention that Jesus would have to be crucified on Thursday because both Friday and Saturday were high holy day during that year so they couldn't leave a dead person on the crosses during those days. They would have to take Jesus down on Thursday and take Him to the tomb. Their days lasted from sundown on the night before to sundown of that day. It is confusing to our Western minds but makes perfect sense to Eastern minds. So I might still be confused about this.

It would seem that God frowns on such abuse. Some people think that this referred to wife Zipporrah but when Moses was ruling in Egypt he had conquered Ethiopia. It was their custom to marry into the royalty of the conquered nation to seal the alliance. This may be the Ethiopian woman they spoke of. However the custom was wide spread because even the Native Americans practiced this. Not all shootings of black people are racially motivated. Unfortunately, some are.

My close friend since middle school said the doesn't understand the Bible; she believes it is written by men and not inspired by the Holy Spirit and she only likes Peter's books; she hates Paul because she thinks he hates women; she doesn't believe the words of Christ "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by Me." She believes that all roads lead to heaven. She is full of occult beliefs and practices and prays to her dead parents and thinks they talk to her. She used to go to tekwondo camps in which she hypnotized herself; she said one time she couldn't bring herself out of her trance. She is totally controlled by fear. This is the person I was referring to when I spoke of her being deceived. I suspect that she is not born again at this point and the more she tells me about her beliefs the more convinced I become. Having witnessed to her for years, she doesn't seem to retain any of it as though the seed falls on hard ground and satan snatches it away. She cannot even utter the words: Jesus is Lord". When we were baptized in 1960 she said she wanted to be a Christian because God is lonely. That was her confession of faith! So you think I shouldn't worry and she is not deceived? You think her name is written in the book of life? You think she is another kind of sheep who is going to heaven even though she only wants Jesus as Savior so she won't go to hell but she refuses to follow Him as Lord; instead she believes people get a chance to believe in Jesus after they die, but is is a Jesus of her own creation and she rejects the Jesus of the Bible. She believes in some type of reincarnation. I still believe she is deceived. God's love is a gift of the Spirit that a person cannot possess if they are not born again. They may have a worldly friendship type of love--phileo--but not agape love which is a gift of compassionate, merciful undeserved grace filled self sacrificing forgiveness. No, we can't love our neighbors or our enemies without Jesus living in us i.e.being born again. That is the first thing God showed me in Scripture and in life. I lacked love. For that matter, Do I truly love God as He loves us? Do I really lay down my life for my friends, even those who believe they are Christians but refuse to believe the truth of Scripture? I weep for them and pray for them. Only God can save them from their deception.

Give to the Lord. Give to those in need. Put 10% into savings. Ask the Lord how to be a wise steward with His provision.

Our church janitor was a wirey 60 year old lady who weighed 80 pounds and could still do chin ups. She would answer the church phone when all were gone and often led people to the Lord on the phone. I often think of her when the least on earth are spoken of, that will be greatest in heaven. She certainly had a servants heart, just doing what was needed. She also worked with the pre school children.

I believe that we will be so blest in God's glory that we won't worry about it. We will probably have duties similar to those of the Jewish priests in the tabernacle or tent. It was supposed to be similar to worship in heaven but not necessarily exactly. David said he would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. There may be instruments, certainly there will be a choir. I just hope that our glorified bodies will have better voices and perfect pitch. So whatever the priestly duties were/are here on earth there may be a counter part in heaven. Certainly we will all worship Him. I suspect that the Marthas will have duties that keep them busy, and the Marys will have duties that suit their personalities as well. I suspect there will be feasts similar to the Jewish celebrations because they recount God's wondrous works among us.

Our target is 5 miles away so I normally don't shop there but I will try that. Thank you. Some other places have it for about an hour after the store opens if you go in the stores, but they only allow 2 people in at a time and I can't stand and wait in line due to back problems.

We have an outdoor amphitheater for church that makes it easier. I would still wear a 99 industrial mask. My lungs are very bad again and I am a prime candidate to not survive should I catch it. So I will probably abide by the guidelines longer than most people. Our dept. stores only allow 2 people at a time to enter a store the size of a football field--walmart, Costco, Home Depot, and Target. I am still unable to buy TP even on internet. I have heard of fist fights over the TP that is stocked in the morning and it is only is available for about an hour before selling out.
