  1. I remember many years ago when I was stationed in Germany in the US Army, being driven in a van in a town as a woman missionary was cat calling every guy she drove by, being a guy I founded this very uncomfortable, and this was a woman sponsored by the Independent Baptist Church, teaching in our Church Home School program. But I can really feel your pain as I also suffered from being single, and watching others breaking all the rules,, and getting this desire, Proverbs 13:12. I know as a single (and not because i am single but I desire a mate) I feel like a second class citizen in the church, if God would either take this desire away or finally grant me it, it would sure help to solve my own problem in this case.
  2. Discipline of self can only come when we frequently fill our hearts and mind with scripture and prayer, by developing our personal relationship with Christ. Start the day right after you awaken by offering it all to God in prayer. Offer yourself without reserve - all your thoughts, all your words, all your deeds, your actions, all your decisions. Offer everything that will happen to you that day. Ask God to fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit. Ask Him to direct all your steps, all your actions, all your thoughts, all your words. Ask Him to put a guard over your mouth so you speak as He would have you speak. "Thy will not my will be done." At periods throughout the day return in prayer to God, Become still and listen. At night, before you go to sleep, offer the day again to God. Examine yourself, ask forgiveness for any sins committed, and commit yourself to God's care while you sleep. The next day begin again. This is a gradual process. It doesn't happen over night, but as we put one foot in front of the other and discipline ourselves to take time for God like I suggest above. This allows God to work in us and change us from the inside. This is where self discipline starts. Amen, Excellent Post.
  3. So since I sleep during the day I will call it a daymare of the past. It involed me at my Christian High School having to go to school for forty hours a week but also work another 27; and nowhere in the world have i ever added 27 and 40 and come up with 39 as in this dream. But to do this work us students needed a special shirt, will in this daymare we all when to a swimming pool for are first day of work, thee are supposed to be 3-9 hours days, but we each had to eat something different first, my item was vinegar and oil which soiled my shirt so my teacher (who was an actual teacher I had in school) told me he would get me a new shirt, so, so far this is just a weird dream I can blame on eating to many beans which has some real bad math. But after this we are all line up to get in the swimming pool or something the like; and i am talking to the coolest kid in the school about the best looking gal in school liking me, but overheard her friend saying I couldn't sing. Woke up about this time and haven't been able to get back to sleep. You might be thinking so big deal, but when you are single like i am; and have trusted God since your youth and have waited this is the truest daymare to wake up from and it is really troubling me. I apologize for a long weird thread but this is just troubling to my entire being.
  4. Meshech = Turkey Kedar = Arabia (possibly Saudi Arabia) I agree with Saudi Arabia, but not sure about Turkey it could will be Turkey, just a little confused myself as to Mesech / Meshech I believe that it was located in Anatolia which is Eastern Turkey. Yea I have heard of it being Moscow, but have a few problems with that, the only real problem I have with Turkey which can always change, to the best of my understanding Turkey is one of the few Muslim nations that is somewhat friendly with Israel. Under the current president Recep Erdogan, Turkey is transforming into a hardline Muslim state. Erdogan has already declared his hostility towards Israel and is believed to be funding ISIS and other terrorist groups. In February 2013 he said that Zionism was "a crime against humanity." He would also like to see a revival of the Caliphate which he hopes one day would become Global. Will that will definitely sway me to your side, on this.
  5. You will find the term *principalities* used in connection with the hierarchies of angels (primary the evil angels). Christians sometimes forget that even though Satan was cast out of God's Heaven, his authority over countless evil angels was not taken away. And even though he was defeated at the Cross when Christ conquered the power of sin, Hell, Hades, death, and Satan, his powers to continue as *the god of this world* were not taken away. Just before the Antichrist takes control of this world, all the evil angels and Satan will be cast down to earth from the first and second heavens. As the *god of this world* and *the prince of the power of the air* he has angelic rulers under him and they are ranked just as an army has ranks, and some of these ranks have the status of *princes*. Those ranks are shown as: Thrones Dominions Principalities Powers Rulers of the darkness of this world Spiritual wickedness in high places Please tells what is that you have read in scripture and what is the fiction, I can not tell "your fiction" cause you must have like to adapt it from someone you respect and is your guide in this matter, that has been substituted by you as the guidance of the holy spirit when it is not, please we like to know, what is scripture base and what is from imaginative spirits. Everything that Ezra wrote is very scriptural with no fiction. Now you may have a disagreement over interpretation, but Ezra can show from scripture exactly why he believes as he believes. And I hope that it is just a different of interpretation. When he told you to take a Strong Concordance, he doesn't consider it a holy book but rather a concordance that even great Bible scholars use to better understand the Hebrew, Aramiac, and Greek words that our Bible was translated from. For instance at least three words are translate love from Greek agape, phila, and eros. Each word is properly translated love, but each word are different definition of love.
  6. Thank you for all your responses, and may I stress the intention of the OP: to reason and to discuss together; i.e. in love! With that in mind, I'd really love to hear what OtherOne has to contribute, and if any of us should be unforgiving, I shall be the first to blow raspberries at them! Seriously brother, don't hold back, let us edify each other. Also, I'd like to add that we should not be ignoring the Holy Spirit and just concentrating on the Father and the Son. There is a reason He is part of the Trinity - He is God, and He has chosen our spirits to be His dwelling place. I do not take it lightly. So, SimpleJeff, are you talking about the Holy Spirit when you mention the Name Yahweh? Please clarify. Can we please agree that we are here to add to our understanding, and not to be argumentative and act superior? It really doesn't help. One thing that we can really address here, which quite frankly may help us all at this point, is our flesh. How much we might rely on it, and how much we follow the Holy Spirit's leading. I'd also like to explore whether we should abandon our logic when fully placing our trust in the Holy Spirit's leading, or whether He in fact uses our logic to communicate things, but perhaps in a way we are not used to. I ask this because: 1Corinthians 1:8 [ Christ the Power and Wisdom of God ] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1Corinthians 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. Looking forward to your answers, love you all I will third that OO, we have at least three people who are very interested in what you have to said. I think with Zion leading, no one is gonna get out of line; and if they do if Zion doesn't get them pretty sure Esther will. Remember the Moravian motto which is very Biblical: In essential unity, and nonessentials liberty, and in all things charity. Please share your thoughts and wisdom with us.

  8. so do we arm ourselves or just give in? IMO when concerning matters of our faith in Christ Jesus just give in: He that leadeth into captivity hall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:10 But when concerning other things not concerning our faith and especially protecting our own these words Paul wrote to Timothy come to mind: But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. I Timothy 5:8
  9. I have definitely had problems with this as of late. I have struggled with holding grudges, especially in the past, so at those times, I don’t think I am worthy of being forgiven (if I don’t do the same). At times like those, I hope for God’s grace and mercy to pardon my sins. When I have trouble with grudges I always take it to God in pray, and tell Him that this person has hurt me to much for me to forgive and ask for help from the Holy Spirit, because if it is left up to me, I just can't do it. Usually a simple pray like this does it, occasionally I really have to get into prayer so that the Holy Spirit can get a hold of my heart. But if you read Luke 11:38-41, I think you will find the answer that Jesus gave concerning this matter.
  10. Meshech = Turkey Kedar = Arabia (possibly Saudi Arabia) I agree with Saudi Arabia, but not sure about Turkey it could will be Turkey, just a little confused myself as to Mesech / Meshech
  11. IMO David prophesy of these days considering Israel and her violence neighbors: 5) Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar! 6) My soul hath long dwell with him that hateth peace. 7) I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war. Psalms 120:5-7
  12. The law is still in effect in that it brings us unto Jesus Christ by faith: Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Galatians 3:24 The laws guide us as a schoolteacher to the knowledge that we can't keep it. As Omegaman said the law is to judge those who haven't accepted Christ as their Redeemer. For everyone is under the law, but only Jesus Christ fulfilled the law: 4) But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law. 5) To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Galatians 4:4-5 Only those of us who have accepted Christ aren't under the law any more. Everyone who has not received Christ as Savoir is under the law still, but with Christ you are under grace. For we see that when Jesus returns He will take vengeance on those that know not God, and don't obey His Gospel just read Ii Thessalonians 1:7-10.
  13. Amen Zion, there is a whole lot of truth in what you have said.
  14. what does the Bible say about anger? you're picking on me again aren't you there, is that better. Just as Other One stated; for the Apostle Paul said it this way: 17) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18) For they that are such serve not the Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:17-18 He also stated the following: 14) And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15) Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. II Thessalonians 3:14-15
  15. I don't think he was talking about fornication, can fornication be committed with your own wife..? Paul in I Thessalonians 4:3 speaks of abstaining from fornication; but speaks in I Corinthians 7:2 of how saints can avoid fornication by marriage, for in marriage all is honorable, Hebrews 13:4.
  16. As I see it no, because in I Thessalonians 4:3-5 it speaks of fornication (v. 3) than Paul tells us in v. 4, for one to possess his vessels in sanctification and honor to which the writer of Hebrews and even Paul address further in the following passages: Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every women have her own husband. I Corinthians 7:2 So that we are told that marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is pure by the writer of Hebrews; while Paul tells us to avoid fornication let the man have his own wife, and woman her own husband.
  17. Hello Ethryan, I really think Shiloh gave some great advice, and believe me I really understand how you feel. We all fail God so badly, it is hard to understand how God can even care about us, even Paul the great Apostle speaks of this in Romans 7:14-23 over and over again saying the good that he would do, he does not; and the evil that he would not do, he ends up doing. So Paul cries out at the end of this chapter these words: 24) O wretched man that i am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:24-25 When speaking of stating that no man should glory in the flesh Paul wrote in I Corinthians 1:29-31 that Jesus Christ is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption; Paul than states that we should glory in the Lord, because of ourselves we are miserable, but because of Christ Jesus we are perfect in the Father's eyes.. My only advice for any believer is never hold a grudge, we may think we have a right too, but Jesus tells us to be forgiven we must forgive other also, Matthew 6:14-15 The Christian is not known by his / her sinlessness; but Jesus says we are know by our love one for another--John 13:34-35; love that only the Holy Spirit can produce see Romans 5:5 and I Peter 1:22
  18. Walking in our life with the fruit of the Spirit that Paul mentioned in Galatians 5:22-26. Which is show most when we are filled with power from on High to preach the Gospel of Christ, Acts 1:8.
  19. Agreed! And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, how beautiful are the feet that of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things. Romans 10:15 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52:7
  20. 37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38) This is the first and great commandment. 39) And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophet. Matthew 22:37-40 Yes to love God is the first duty of the believers but Jesus adds the second to it, for if we don't follow the second we can not commit to the first. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? I John 4:20 This is why Paul tells us to love thy neighbour is the fulfilling of the law, Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:13-14. For to love is to let the Holy Spirit produce His fruit in us, Romans 5:5; I Peter 1:22. For Paul even writes: For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Galatians 5:6 This is why Paul commends the Thessalonians: Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; I Thessalonians 1:3 IMO this is what the writer of Hebrews is telling us about in Hebrews 6:4-10.
  21. Thanks for sharing that is a wonderful story Bopeep. But I wouldn't say he deserve employee of the year, more of employee of a lifetime, great act of kindness by Kenny.
  22. I can agree with that thanks. Working the third shift getting ready to clock back in from lunch.
  23. Do not forget Mark 16:9-20; John 7:53-8:11 and I John 5:7 modern version leave thee out or question if they are inspired. Remember the devil ask Eve: Yea, hath God said? Genesis 3:1 Yes one can come to Çhrist with the NIV, but IMO it makes it rather difficult to taste and see that the Lord is gracious, see. I Peter 2:2-3.
