Hey Wingnut, The problem I see with that is that the opening of the seals takes place after the letters to the seven churches in Asia Minor. After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” Revelation 4:1 How could have the gospel gotten to Asia Minor before the new covenant began? John was told to write three distinct and specific things: Therefore write [1] the things which you have seen, and [2] the things which are, and [3] the things which will take place after these things. Revelation 1:19 Those three things correspond to: [1] - the vision of Jesus [2] - the seven letters to the seven churches [3] - the seven seals Numbers 2 & 3 correspond to the chronology Jesus gave us in Matthew 24; the gospel will be preached to all nations and then the end will come. The opening of the first seal follows the preaching of the gospel to all the nations.

It may not be a matter of good vs. evil. From what I've read, a white horse symbolized victory. The horse rider is also given a victor's crown so that fits. As was pointed out earlier, Jeremiah 9:3 states: They bend their tongue like their bow; lies and not truth prevail in the land. That is what I see taking place when the first seal is opened. The chronology of the last days in summary is stated by Jesus in Matthew 24:14: This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. The end is brought to pass through the opening of the seven seals. When the first seal is opened, the rider is allowed to be victorious in his spreading of lies, the arrows of the enemy according to Ephesians 6:16. Allowing this rider to spread lies after the preaching of the gospel serves the purpose of revealing everyone's faith. It will challenge and strengthen the faith of those who believe in God, and it will further delude those who have preferred the pleasures of sin and rejected the gospel. It begins the segregation process.

You could also add Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

If Matthew 24:29 coincides with the sixth seal, which I believe it does, then the sign of the Son of Man can be found in the sixth seal: Calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” Revelation 6:16-17 At the sixth seal, the sky is rolled back like a scroll and people catch a glimpse into the spirit realm. They see one seated on the throne and the Lamb, the sign of the Son of Man.

No worries. It should be revealed before too much longer. We all just need to keep an open mind and seek God for discernment.

I think it's important to understand who the beast is and what he does before trying to understand what an image of him would be. In short, the beast is an evil spirit being who comes up out of the abyss and influences world affairs in such a way that prepares for the man of sin to exercise dominion. This "dominion" aspect can be seen in Daniel 7 where the beast with 10 horns is also seen. Any image of this beast will of necessity reflect the man of sin's dominion. This is why I view the image in Rev 13 as a sort of "pledge of allegiance" that the world collaborates on, that must be obeyed under the penalty of death. Such a thing reflects the man of sin's dominion. However, having a singular intangible image does not preclude the existence of tangible idols. It's not an either / or situation. It's both. We know that there will be idols because of the sixth trumpet: The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts. Revelation 9:20-21 The common ground between the image and various idols is that they will express the man of sin's dominion. Worship them and you worship him. He won't have it any other way. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4a

Very telling indeed, the level of compliance that people are willing to engage in at the behest of the high priests of medical witchcraft. I'm still curious about their vaccine, how that will be rolled out to the 7.6 billion, and whether or not it will eventually provide a framework for the mark. They're talking about several rounds of vaccination.

He won't. That assumption is largely the construct of western affluence and perceived privilege. Sure, the pretrib rapture's made its way into other cultures but at its root is the idea of an entitlement for a privileged few at the end. It's something that appeals to those who are predisposed to believing it. It has no basis in truth however. I think a lot of westerner believers are starting to see the vulnerability of their culture and are reconsidering. Hopefully.

Because around then significant changes began to take place; the seeds of globalism were sown, advancements in electricity / electronics, "UFO" activity, etc. Knowledge over the last century or so has increased dramatically and it's not because humans all of a sudden became much more intelligent. I attribute it to the beast (and his entourage) teaching men things. No. They were created spirit beings that became evil, much like Satan.

There is nothing that links that passage to the beast of Revelation who comes up out of the abyss. If anything, that might refer to the false prophet.

You're correct. He's not. There is no precedent for a human going into or coming out of the abyss. The abyss is only used in connections with evil spirit beings. The beast is an evil spirit being. The false prophet is the only human of the evil trio.

And not just technology. The world has transitioned from being individual nations back then to a globalist "one people, one world" mentality today. The virus is affecting the world and must be dealt with on a global level. Global government is what the man of sin has authority over. The virus is pushing the world in that direction. If COVID-19 is just another 100 year virus, we have the most inept people in charge of disease control. They had one job to do. Those who think that COVID-19 is just another bump in the normal virus road should reflect on Revelation 18:23 and answer a couple of questions: For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were deceived by your sorcery. Revelation 18:23b Why are merchants, not kings, considered to be the great ones of the earth, and who are these magnates? What is the sorcery (pharmakeia) that will deceive the world? It's not the false prophet's signs and wonders. Completely different word and meaning.

I posted this in a different thread: My guess is that there will be 600 of those kinds of people who are knowingly, actively doing the bidding of the dragon, a Luciferian kind of group. We know that there will be 10 horns, and I can account for 6 evil angel princes. So, the number associated with the man of sin is 600 + 10 + 6. This is the number of the beast that's found on Papyrus 115. It's a hierarchy of sorts. There is the man of sin who is Satan incarnate. Then there are the 6 angelic princes who make up the beast, then there are the 10 horns who are subservient to the beast (Rev 17:12-13), then there are 600 "elites" who serve as their minions. That would make the number of those associated with the man of sin, the number of his name, 616 which is consistent with what's found on Papyrus 115.

We have a fundamentally different approach to interpreting prophetic scripture. So much so that its a non-starter. Why can't you just accept that? Not interested in sour grapes either.

Genesis 1:14 The heavenly luminaries are for measuring time. Months are a lunar cycle, years are a solar cycle. Time spans are given as a count of the appropriate luminary cycle: days, months, years. We know that the man of sin is given authority to act for 42 months (Rev 13:5) which is also stated as time, times, and half a time (Daniel 7:25). The great tribulation is still future and lasts for 3 1/2 years.
