Well yes it is a salvation issue if you believe that Christ paid the penalty on the cross for our sins. To be able to do so Christ Jesus would have had to be free from sin. Isaiah 53 says by His stripes we are healed. His stripes refers to by Christ shed blood we are saved as Christ Shed His own untainted blood (because it came direct from God) within Christ while He was in the womb of Mary. Marys blood did not mix with Christ blood and Christ was born through the immaculate conception) for the remission of our sins. Christ Jesus was our Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. it is through Him that we can find back our place with God in eternity. Christ came down to undo what satan did in the garden of Eden. It was finished on the cross of Calvary. through Christ satan has no more power over man if man has faith in Christ having died and paid in full the penalty for our sins and through His shed blood has made us white as snow, not because of anything we did but because of Him haven taken the ultimate penalty for our sins by bearing all the sins of the world when he was crucified on the cross. Anything other than God could not do that

Hmmm.... He hasn't read this story deeply enough. Jesus is inviting the rich young ruler to look deeply into what "goodness" is - and it isn't man-driven keeping of laws. THAT's what the young man thought is was - hence his begging Jesus to tell him what to do in terms of works. Jesus isn't denying his Godship or his supernatural identity. He is preparing the young man to understand what goodness is and where it comes from. It comes only FROM God to the believer. When this young man called Jesus "good", he was talking about his healings, teachings, and his taking care of people. His works. The young man wanted to do works too that would make him right with God. He was grossly mistaken. Most people miss this very vital point of the story. If this young man had understood that Jesus WAS God, and that goodness is supernaturally God's alone, he wouldn't have used that word for Christ - I know that sounds ironic, but it is. He didn't see Jesus as a God or the God. Just a hardworking teacher. He thought he could at least work a little hard and obtain God's favor. Jesus, indeed was asking the young man and all of us today to examine goodness. People believed Jesus was "good" and if they understood goodness, they would automatically understand that Jesus was God. Jesus said that goodness was God's alone. Not in denying his divine nature, but in claiming it. Your friend has only skimmed the surface and found Jesus lacking. He has done EXACTLY what the young man in this story has done. Thank you Jayne, i really appreciate your answer . Unfortunately this Jewish man has a lot of influence on other people and he himself is misguided on this particular verse and in turn is misguiding others . I terribly would like to get through to this person as it could way as a salvation issue, and i very much would like to see this person go to heaven as well as the others he is influencing through his talks. I hope to use your reply as an explanation him if I am given the chance to reach him.

Not really by Christ being quoted as saying: saying don't call me good, it can appear that he is confirming that He Christ Himself is not good. To be good you have to be free from sin and only God is completely frre from sin. From other places of scripture is does say that Christ was without sin. And to believe in Christ reason to come to this world to buy us back from sin and for Him to become the sacrificial lamb of God,Christ Jesus needed to be free from sin. But how do you explain this to someone who will use this particular verse to disclaim Christ from being God? I hope someone can bring about a solid explanation defending this passage explaining why God said that to this person. In my opinion this verse taken on its own in that one phrase is taken out of context. At that time that Christ Jesus was being questioned , it was a time the pharisees were looking to find fault in Christ so natural they where trying to trap him into saying something that would justify why they should put Him to death.

Hi brother Duke The verses that you gave and that would be presented to the Jewish man who thinks he is a christian but does not believe that Christ is God,may very well use your verses to defend his point of view that we like Christ can find God, but that does not make Christ God. And the last verse saying i am in the Father and the Father in me, can be easily used by some to defend why Christ was not God as god is in everybody and everybody is in God. I m really looking for a substantial explanation to explain Luke 18:19 I hope if not you somebody can give a good scriptural defense as to what Christ Jesus said and meant when He said don'T call me good, only my father in heaven is good.

So, there is this person on the internet claiming to be a Jewish christian saying because of this verse it confirms that Christ the promised messiah was -is-not God and that it is a blaspheme to call Christ Jesus God. I would like to know how would you explain to them the meaning of Luke 18:19 :So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. .

Well I must say I never pondered on that question until reading this topic post yesterday and I think i miss understood one of angel4u posts and tried to understand the possibility of Christ dying spirituality, when He took on all the sins of the world, from the quote she posted as i pretty much agree in the same line as angels. After reviewing and thinking things through from your comment back to me and re-viewing things posted in this thread yes its true that Christ is God, and therefore He could not have died spiritually as God is eternal. But there was this remark about how we understand spiritual death. And because Christ on earth did have a physical side to Him, I was thinking that that the human side of God could have experience a temporary spiritual death separation from God when He took upon Him to bear the whole sins of mankind in His time of darkness, because from what i read in 1jophn ch1. 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all I got a little confused from reading the post suggesting the possibility of Christ dying spiritually during His time of being in darkness and tried to contemplate it as the human side of Christ temporarily dying spiritually. My understanding of sin and when man sins, he separates himself spiritually from God because God is light and cannot live in the darkness of sin, as sin is a counterfeit of God, a deception and a lie. It is Christ in us that frees us of sins and makes us acceptable to one day reunite into the Holy presence of God. So thanks for your comment that allowed me to further think things through. God Bless; 1to3

They are One God diffused in THREE persons: Father , Son, Holy Spirit. Christ Jesus was part human on earth, God always remained the Father therefore remaining in His Holy Essence Pure eternal non changing LAW, Pure Light state. For sure Christ could not have sin in Him to free us from sin but He did through His divinity have the capacity to TAKE -ON the sins of mankind and pay the penalty in FULL from them through the shedding of His PURE Blood over them, but Christ also had to take-on=experience within His human self through His Christ/human persona the full penalty of the sins of mankind. That is why is was only for a duration that Christ had to experience hell when Christ took on ALL the sins of mankind, that He became the sacrifice, for that time separated from God spiritually as God the Father in the completeness of His essence is non changing eternal Pure Light Pure eternal non changing eternal LAW. well how do you explain then 1 John ch1 ? 1 John 1 What Was Heard, Seen, and Touched 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you that [a]your joy may be full. Fellowship with Him and One Another 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

God sent His only begotten Son Christ Jesus for the purpose of bringing man kind back to God through His sacrifice on the cross. Christ Jesus part God , part man got to experience All the human feelings and challenges we humans go through in this life. when Christ Jesus experienced these human parts God also experienced this through His Son Christ Jesus. Through the experience of Christ Jesus, God knows what its like to be man and with that comes all possibilities and that would included separation from God spiritually. So the explanations from angels4u would make sense. Christ Jesus is our advocate before the Lord, it would make sense that all that Christ suffered including spiritual separation from God would be the exact same things us as making experience, making the Christ both man and God as mentioned in the bible to bring us back to God by suffering ALLthe penalties of carnal sin for us(taking on Him all of our sins) ,. Carnal sin unrepented =emotional separation from God. when Christ took on ALL the sins of the world He had to separate spiritually for a while from God as God is TRUTH- who is LIGHT cannot be in the presence of darkness-lie-. Only Christ who came down to save us(from the penalty of sin=complete spiritual separation from God) who was part man & part God and had that capacity to take on our sins so to free us from them once and for all and make us acceptable to join back to God through Him. So the time period where Christ was taking all the sins of the world unto Himself, He had to go into complete darkness,-separation from God spiritually) as Father God who is Complete LAW, complete TRUTH could not be there, God had to separated from His son for this sacrifice to be completed.

The "oy vey" and "Huh, I don't get it" buttons
1to3 replied to Still Alive's topic in General Discussion
https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/699508/jewish/What-Does-Oy-Vey-Mean.htm What Does “Oy Vey” Mean? Oy and vey are two very old Jewish interjections which both mean “woe.” Oy is found many times in the Bible (see Numbers 21:29, I Samuel 4:7 and Isaiah 3:11 for a few examples). Vey is newer than oy; it is oy’s Aramaic equivalent. Today, oy and vey are often used together. “Oy vey” is the ethnically Jewish way to react when you find out how much your son’s root canal will cost, or when you find out that there is a two-hour wait time for a table at the restaurant where you just arrived. Sometimes you’ll hear people groan “oy vavoy,” which is Hebrew for “oy vey.”1 Those who prefer Yiddish lamentations will often cry “vey iz mir,” which means “woe is to me.” Alternatively, some view "oy vey" as being entirely Yiddish (Judeo-German) in origin. In their view, "vey" is a cognate for the English "woe," with "oy" being a general interjection of despair. "Oy vey" would thus be a direct Yiddish parallel to "oh woe." Let’s pray that G‑d sends us Moshiach already, so we can stop waxing eloquent about our woes and expand our vocabulary of positive interjections! Footnotes 1. See Proverbs 23:29, where King Solomon asks, “To whom is oy and to whom is avoy?” -
Thanks George for posting these pic/videos, they truly are cool to see especially for some of us who will never be traveling there. Just to know that a lot of the bible stories where written from these places is just wow! I so appreciate you sharing. thank you very much. ?

After seeing this, I listened to this comedian Tim Hawkins and some other of his you tube postings, so ok, he is kind of funny, but I was wondering is he truly a christian? As he certainly knows a lot of wordily music and ways of the worldly world and basically has a lot of material involving it. But I was wondering as a christian is this type of comedy something I would want to have represented as christian and then share with the people I know who I want to bring to Christ and who know I am christian ? I mean what kind of message would I be sending them? that Christians still are very worldly? And look how we christian are cool with this type of comedy we allow to be held in certain churches? Some of these big mega churches do not really represent what the bible stands for. They themselves are antichrist churches pretending to be truly christian, but by their choice of behavior their lifestyle does not align with the christian principals of the Holy Bible. IDK, I mean i was sent by someone worldly, recently I a video of a 68 lady on a -got talent show- where the older lady comes off looking very demure at first but then goes on to sing the song- highway to hell- astonishing the crowd and to roaring praise of acceptance.? But really was it so funny to see an older lady belt out a secular song promoting sinning and going to hell by a group called ACDC = Anti-christ/devils child? I say this because would it be any better than that person who sent me the video of the old lady singing highway to hell to be sending them back a video clip with this comedians Tim Hawkins stuff, that has a lot of worldly music in it? Just pondering ...

This world is of the flesh Gods world is of the Spirit. We as christian need to live through His Spirit. Pray to God to deliver you from the spirit of lust over sex or food or both or any other sin. For in both food and sex, their is a physical component that propels us to have those needs of the flesh met. But they can be met in a Godly way and not a sinful way. Sin, = steals , kills , destroys. Gods spirit IS for anyone to drink from its water and have life and life more abundant. No one is living in abundance when they are indulging in their lusts of the flesh, no they are indulging in sin that will bring on more sin and more detrimental consequences. The ultimate consequence to sin is death. Their are evil spirits attached to sins. and there are generational curses because of sin that go to other generations that absolutely to be broken and loosed thro the Blood of Christ Jesus There exists spirits of lust, they come about and attach to a person who from one small sin to another small sin, hast led to another opening of sin and then another, and if sin continues like that without God s help of Mercy & Grace through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus, these sins lead a person to an eventual reprobate mind. With each sin unattended to and removed by Gods Mercy & Grace, evil spirits of that particular sin attaches themselves to that person, leaving the person to be more and more vulnerable to that particular sin and more a SLAVE to sin. And again sin that is not dealt with through Gods plan of Mercy& Grace can eventually lead to a reprobate mind, where the person can no longer distinguish what is sin from what is not sin. Coming to Christ and asking Him to forgive us of our sins and to remove them and place them at the cross of Calvary for where He died and shed His blood for remission of them, is the way to liberation, deliverance and freedom from sin. Ask in the Blood redeeming NAME of Christ Jesus to set you free of any spirits of lust that have attached themselves to you. Claim Christ Jesus Blood over them. He is faitful and will free you and remove them from you and will show you how to overcome them, just you have to come in true surrender to Him. If you keep hold of your sin, He cannot help you like He would like to. Gods knows our struggles, He is patient and when He knows you are truly searching for Him to Help you and salvage you of your sins, He will be there to show you a way out of them. In our weakness we are made strong through Him to overcome and be healed of our sins. In him we become a NEW creations, things of the past no longer have a hold on us Don't ever give up hope in Christ Jesus and that He can help you to overcome, He can heal you and replace the hunger for sin with the hunger for Him. It all begins with surrendering our will over to Him, giving Him our concerns and problems and asking Him to remove then one by one. Do you truly feel defeated in your struggle wit a particular sin? If you Do than that is good because you are now in a place to surrender ALL to Him. Gods Word is True. He is HEALER, HE IS REDEEMER. don't ever forget that. any time something trie to trip you up and you fall, turn right aay to Him for help and get right back up . If you go right you can't go wrong Virtue that is not tested is not virtue. Faith that is not tested is not faith. faith involves faithfulness tow hat we believe in. Somehow the fallen nature in us seems when tempted t firsto place our faith in the father of lies of this world rather than our Father of Truth, our Father of Truth Eternal Until the lesson is learned, tests of faith in the field in which we struggle will be presented to us all throughout our life. Either we will let ourselves become slaves to sin and be led astray and that will lead us to death or we will be freed from them and find life. God can do what man can't. God is greater than the father of sin. Trust in God over trusting in your weaknesses that are fueled by the father of sin. All that I write , is from my own failed experiences and my own struggles with sin and having turned over these struggles to God my Lord and Savior . As long as we turn to God to help us free us of our sins, He is faithful to help free us and we keep growing and growing into the child of God He always intended for us to be, being freed and overcoming our sin struggles in Him. As we grow in Him, we also change and the things that once had a hold on us, in time in Him , no longer do and even can seem very foreign and weird to think we ever were so under their control. God Loves you and wants you and me to live a wholesome life free and abundantly wholesome in Him. He bring us the LIVING waters that quench our thirsts always. Before acting on anything of this world and from the flesh, we need to bring ALL to HIM first and Always. -Charles Stanley- In Touchministries-has some amazingly uplifting sermons on such topics .- Here are some topics that have played recently from Charles Stanley daily ministry site: -the landmine of fear. -landmines in the path of a believer. Sometimes even if depression is spiritual, (which I believe is the case most of the time) it takes on a physical aspect. Just like if one remains angry all the time or filled with resentments, it will have physical effects on the body. Bitter waters erode until we seek to replace them with fresh sweet waters from the Lord. Healing begins by looking towards God for a different Holier perspective over any troubling situation that may befall us. For sure praying to God about our concerns is vital as well as rebuking the depression away and trusting God and His word to carry us through and past these times. Also finding Gratitude in what is around you helps to bring back a certain perspective concerning our thoughts and feelings. In God we always can find HOPE When we have hope and place our full trust in Him and His WORD we receive the tools to overcome. Remember the devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10-29 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a [a]hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. Christ Jesus came so we may have life and life abundant in Him, Praise God!

I have deep feelings for someone I shouldn't
1to3 replied to DaughterOfAKing's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
I must say this is spot on advice, that Davida is giving you, I pray you adhere to her wise advice DaughterOfAKing it could save you from a lot of pain and lost opportunities that God had for you had, had you obeyed Him and not followed your lusts that have no place with Him and His Word and what is truly good for you and your future. Satan can really play havoc in your life by you following your lusts. I would stay far away from the temptation as possible and pray to God to help you be faithful to Him and To His Word over being tempted by something that will only bring you a lot pain and regret and wasted time, that if you survive the damages from that union you will then have to rebuild yourself from the damages and what a long road back to your right position with God it will be. And in the process it may cost you to have found a real good man with whom you could have build a real family with. Please be smart and use Gods wisdom over your own. "I'm about 75% sure that the feeling is mutual (maybe not to my extent but there is some certainty he may feel the same way)" that is another red flag. Its never works out when a women has more feelings for the man than the man has for the women. Your situation is not going to work out. Its far better for a man to be interested in you and to pursue you than you pursuing him. He has nothing to work for, you seem to just want to hand everything over to him on a ready to serve plate. Bad idea. it never works out well when a woman does that , he will definitely have no respect for you, perhaps take advantage of you, but will have no respect for you and you will be eventually be bitterly gobbled up by your own lusts with nothing more to show for it , then perhaps an unwanted STD. while he goes to another more interesting prospect.- 18 replies

Hi whisperpoetry; Well as HumbleServantofChrist said, forgiveness is vital to be able to let go of past hurts. Having a relationship with God and through His Word, if applied to your heart, will most definitely help you to heal and let go of past trauma/sin/hurts. Not letting go can cause a lifetime of problems, mental and physical. Letting go and letting God take your hurts, will bring you finally peace of mind and bring back good mental as well as physical healing. But as long as we remain judgemental, hold-on to grudges and forget where we ourselves from come, God can really not help us because we have closed our hearts to Him be able to help us. If you have deep anger within and are hurting yourself by means of self abuse and any addictions, you may very well be keeping a lot of anger, past trauma/sin, resentments and unforgiveness close to your heart. That is a lot of bitterness -bitter waters- from within. Gods word says that sweet waters cannot live in bitter water. James 3:10-12 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? [a]Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh. God is many times in the bible referred to as water. clean, pure living water. John 4 7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” 11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” Coming to Him and asking him to make a home in our hearts and to change us into His new creation invites the Holy Waters of Gods Holy Spirit to pour into our hearts and begin transforming us, healing us into His new creation. John 14:27 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Part of beginning a relationship with God, is to begin placing our trust in Him. If you are having trouble with this, just simply ask God to help you trust Him more. He will answer you, and step by step as you keep an ongoing daily relationship with God just by truthfully talking to Him, He will help you. Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall [a]direct your paths. Trust in Him and not in yourself that is a flawed creature needing of His Mercy and Grace. Think on good things: Philippians 4:8 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things Isaiah 55:8-9 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts Let God take care of you Isaiah 46:4-13 Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you. 5 “To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal And compare Me, that we should be alike? 6 They lavish gold out of the bag, And weigh silver on the scales; They hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god; They prostrate themselves, yes, they worship. 7 They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it And set it in its place, and it stands; From its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to it, yet it cannot answer Nor save him out of his trouble. For some, therapies, step meetings, recovery books may seem helpful and work as a band-aid, but really what will permanently heal you is God and God alone if you seek Him. Only Him can bring you real peace of mind. As complicated as it may seem, as simple it is, just you have to come to a place within to allow yourself to hand over to God your hurts and trust that God has got it and that He will render justice where justice is due and that its no more up to you to worry about it than it is up to you to be judging yourself and others. Until we stop playing God and keep judging yourself and others, we will have a lot of trouble to forgive ourselves & others. But once we realize that we are just as much a sinner as another and that really it is not our place to judge and hold on to resentments, God will not be able to help us like He would like to. Judgement is mine says the lord; Deuteronomy 32:35 35 Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’ Romans 12:19 Forgiveness …18If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20On the contrary, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head.”… When you come to god in repentance, He will forgive you, If He can forgive you, you also must forgive yourself and others. Matthew 6 Do Good to Please God 6 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you [a]openly. The Model Prayer 5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the [b]hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you [c]openly. 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. [d]For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

My journey through insomnia--a journal!
1to3 replied to HikerMom's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Sorry to hear of your struggle Hiker Mom. I liked what Opossum said about the time you can't sleep to think, pray upon the Lord. Sometimes what I do before bed is that, I read the bible and meditate on the things read and kind of speak to God also who is our Eternal father who cares so much about us all, and I tell Him what is on my mind and I ask Him also for help concerning what is troubling me, then I release it into Gods hands and Trust that He has all under control. Learning to trust God is also something that I learned to do as i seeked to get closer and closer to God. with every little step of faith and trust I place in God and His word, He is very faithful to respond back . That is how we find out more and more that truly our Christian walk is an ongoing relationship with Him. And like with any close loving relationship there is a symbiotic back and forth communication happening along with faith, faithfulness and trust towards one another. I also sometimes listen to audio cassettes on spiritual topics. They kind of help to lull me to sleep on nights where I find it hard to get to sleep. Praying for you Hiker Mom and that God help you to release yourself into a good noght sleep, handing over all your fears and concerns onto Him and Letting Him take care of you. God Bless; 1to3 A song I like to share: God Will Take Care of You (Martin) | Civilla D. Martin Be not dismayed whate’er betide, God will take care of you; Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you. Refrain: God will take care of you, Through every day, o’er all the way; He will take care of you, God will take care of you. Through days of toil when heart doth fail, God will take care of you; When dangers fierce your path assail, God will take care of you. All you may need He will provide, God will take care of you; Nothing you ask will be denied, God will take care of you. No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you; Lean, weary one, upon His breast, God will take care of you. If you google this title on you tube you will get the hymn song. So just to understand, are you saying the the rapture of Christs, where true Christians are changed in the blinking of an eye, will begin before the seven year tribulation.? or in the middle period 3 1/2 years of the tribulation , just before the anti christ takes complete control?

Yes shiloh this is how I have always been taught, but there have been now so many threads and members here on worthy that are saying that there will be no rapture before the tribulation and both sides pointing with scripture to defend their stance. It has made me now not know for sure what it will truly be. But as a Christians having a daily relationship with Christ we are told in scripture to persevere no matter what trials befall us , so whether the rapture happens before the tribulation begins or not, it is good for us walking the walk in Christ Jesus to just continue our walk of faith in Him and work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, The bible says no one will know the hour when these things will come about but nevertheless to be prepared as the coming of the Lord will be like a thief coming in the night when we least expect it. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 The Day of the Lord 1Now about the times and seasons, brothers, we do not need to write to you. 2For you are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.… Philippians 2:12 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. 13For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good pleasure.…

Loneliness and isolation

Hi JTC ; Sorry to hear that JTC, back pain is not an easy thing to have to endure. I am keeping you in prayer for a complete healing in Christ Jesus Name. Amen! lol Oh well I am glad at least someone had a chuckle over this sad situation. Reading about your niece, there looks to be more hope of a friendly curious relationship there with you and her than there would be with my brother. Same hear, I never ever would even mention anything about religion in his presence, but he always would just try to see if he could start an argument. So every time he would do that, I would not engage but rather change to another subject. Yes i think there is something about the dark side in her that feels very threatened, just like with my brother. Well Florida sounds really nice and warm. ?️ If I could relocate to an all year warm climate i would. I don't know about you, but if you had a chance to relocate to a warmer climate, I would not hesitate. I would not relocate because of any atheist family member living there, i would relocate just because the weather in Florida is warm and to be able to enjoy warm weather more than cold. And as a person gets older, warmer weather helps. Surely there must be some Burroughs in Florida that have a lot of social services going on and also services and activities for people who don't have any cars. Worthy member -Kwikphili- lives in Florida and used to say how wonderful it was to live all year in a warm climate. If i where you, i would definitely consider relocating there. They must also have a lot of christian churches to pick from. Anyhow, thank for your reply... 1to3 -
Sorry to hear that Saved. One. by. Grace; Parents should leave equally to their children, no matter what. I hope that, that does not worsen your depression, God certainly can help you with that through the application of forgiveness) but I understand how it can get to a person. That's why parents should be equal and fair to their children, leaving siblings an equal inheritance so to not bring on animosity after the parents are gone. The man who married your sister and told you that, sounds like a cad to have told you that he married her for her inheritance. At least you have a christian wife, where you both can uphold the Lord to everything that occurs in your lives and can make a family life for yourself and your wife,(you and her, together make a family) and keep a distance from toxic relatives. Praying for them and their salvation is one thing, but placing yourself to get abused is another. Best to keep a distance from toxic people and live your life in peace with the Lord. Praise God, you got the best inheritance ever. Nothing comes close to having received Gods free Gift of Mercy and Grace. Nothing compares to the that. You have been so blessed. Steady as goes In Christ Jesus Always

Thank you for your honest reply Christiangal. Its clear, the dysfunctional in your family has led you astray to make wrong choices in life. Again its better you remain single than getting involved with yet another person- who will abuse you as you have been taught to think people should abuse you. No, no one should abuse anybody, No parent, no child, no friend, no boyfriend. Yet it does happen, because of unresolved dysfunction resulting from traumatic experiences in a persons life history, And the lack of seeking God for help and healing. Until the insanity stops with Gods help, you could easily just go from one abusive relationship to another, not learning anything from the initial experience only accumulating more hurt and trauma, passing it on to others yes even your very own children and the dysfunction just continues..on and on... These family, childhood wounds can go deep into the subconscious and play out like a broken record, sometimes just randomly being set off by the unconscious and playing when we least expect it, until we seek resolution and healing from God Again the good news is that God can heal past wounds. But it takes a beginning and willingness on your part to want to heal and get better. Your parents may also need to get better but for now, you need to take care of yourself. There is much I could say, but I think the most important has been uncovered for now and that is, that in order for you to find any true peace from within, you need first of all Gods healing from past family wounds and need to put closure on patterns of reacting that are not serving you any longer. Finding your composure with God can help you learn to overcome and heal and also deal positively with past trauma set-ups that also can re surge in the present. Its a journey but God will give you the strength and the courage you need as long as you keep Him as your main focus of healing, guidance for every concern in your life. One of the first things is to learn is to drop all judgement over people, places and things and look at whatever concern that comes your way objectively=outside your self (like clouds passing by and you being the observer of what you see in the clouds that are outside yourself and not internalize everything . Let go and let God. Judgment is mine says the Lord, so bring all concerns to Him and ask Him to take care of the situation. Hand each of your concerns over to God, start a daily relationship with Him, ask Him to help you learn to place your trust in Him more and more. He will show you how. From all your unresolved hurt, You don't need a husband right now or maybe ever. but you do need right now recovery, healing recovery from God and that can begin right now. I will be praying for you. In Christ Jesus Always; 1to3

Hi Christiangal; Sorry to hear about your relationship with your parents. Unfortunately, we don't chose the parents we get and they don't get to choose the children they want. We for sure have to make the best with what we have been given, and as adults it becomes our responsibility to work through and resolve within ourselves and also as Christians with God help and through His Word, any serious issues we may have had growing up. If not they will carry out in all other interpersonal relationship with others. The good news is that God can restore and heal us from traumatic wounds to the body and soul. Its not easy being a parent, and neither is it easy being married. They both require love, responsibility , commitment and work. and its a two way relationship between parent and child, husband and wife. The parents have a responsibility that comes first before the children and so its also the parents responsibility to know how to parent and bring up a child to become a loving responsible independent individual for themselves and their lives. Unless of course the parents has been given handicapped children that need basic care from them for the rest of their grownup lives. You brought up a few interesting things: firstly what popped out to me was: That is not only interesting but real sad and very indicative as to why you are the way you are. Have you always felt like you parents have " disdain and dislike for you" ? if so it can reflect in the way you have set up your own personal life, throughout your life. the- why- has a point of origin to it. and if its amiss, it needs resolving, before jumping into other relationships. Why do you think that? Has it always been like that? I am sad to hear that, if you say you have no more regrets, it means you once had regrets, and now it sounds like something has been shut closed in your heart with your father. Have you truly resolved all with your father? For sure if you have father issues, it could very well transfer itself over to any relationship you may have with any another man, and also bring on problematic issues with any man you would be considering as a potential partner for a romantic relationship leading to marriage. Also mother issues, if not properly worked on and resolved, can play into unhealthy patterns that can transfer into other relationships not only with spouse but with you and your spouse's children. Are your parents born again christian? Just with what has been brought up from what you wrote christiangal, it does not sound like a good idea for you to even consider getting into any serious loving relationship leading to marriage with anybody, especially without first resolving your primary emotional issues that you have with your parents. Because without properly resolving those primary issues with your parents,( that seem far embedded in your psyche concerning your parents), they will surely carry unto any other important relationship you ever decide to get involve in without first working through your relationship issues with your parents.
