Consider instead what was said about the "world" = "society" / "mankind" (unregenerated) / "sodom and gomorrah" / especially as written in the BIBLE: the world (society) is pernicious (death dealing), seeking to drag down everyone everywhere.... ? Surprised ? Who brought up Jesus walking on water ? What year did Jesus walk on water ? ? What did Yahweh provide all the Scripture for ? (or who for) just the first century saints ? or all of us ?

While reading the op, it was really encouraging until the last question. (the answer is no). Jesus is calling people in every country today, yes. LIke ABRAHAM, to leave their home, country, family, like the Apostles, and disciples , to leave their comfort, their job, their security, their family to leave "the SAFE BOAT" IN A STORM to walk on water...... Those who are called can say YES JESUS ! And follow HIM and HIS WORD the rest of their lives, and like PETER , if we look at the waves and start to sink, we can cry out JESUS HELP! and HE (being the PERFECT SHEPHERD) helps immediately, as Yahweh permits..... or over time, as Yahweh permits..... always YAHWEH'S PLAN and PURPOSE and SALVATION IN JESUS .... leaving behind all else "forgetting what lies behind, pressing forward (with all strength and soul and mind and heart) to what lies ahead ! " IN JESUS FOREVER as HE SAYS and as the FATHER ACCOMPLISHES TODAY....

Jesus suffered , all the Apostles suffered, many multitudes of disciples (ekklesia born again by the will of the Father in heaven) suffered. The suffering is detailed in Scripture, and in the testimony of the saints in Foxes Book of Martyrs. Yahweh says suffering is not only necessary, but that Yahweh uses the suffering to PERFECT US in CHRIST JESUS ! To get us away from thinking like the world, selfishly, to thinking like Yahweh, His Way, as He Desires in Christ Jesus.

You're missing the reason and the motive and the necessity of saying the world(society) is pernicious, evil, full of wickednessess. Let's get to the point more directly, shall we ? Yahweh willing and if you're willing and able . Why do you think the world (society) is so pernicious? (death dealing) Why do you think the world (society) is so completely and utterly full of sin ?

Missing the point. "The world" , as in all society, is totally deceived AND deceitful, everyone in "society" "OF THE world" is dead in trespasses and blind, black with sin, totally corrupt and opposed to Jesus and denies the Gospel and denies the CREATOR YAHWEH. All mankind is devastatingly wicked, as in the days of NOAH, as in Sodom and Gomorrah. The people are exceedingly wicked and always sinful. EXCEPT for the those who find the NARROW ROAD (JESUS) to LIFE.

This is why it is not up to the individual to decide within the ekklesia, if they are subjects of Jesus, as Yahweh's Word States.

When a man with a living soul and born again spirit by the Will of the Father in heaven is a member of ekklesia, then it is not up to the individual to decide, according to Yahweh's Word once delivered Gospel.

So much of 'christendom' is already compromised, hundreds of years ago, and for the last 100+ years in the USA. Not just "a little here, a little there" but everywhere, in every warp and woof , in every seam of society, throughout. The 'persecution' is not seen so much, because the fraudulent is prevalent. When the right and true is seen, it is attacked by the others in most cities/ countries/ areas. This has been so all along. (all of our lives, and for many generations). The 'pretend' 'christendom' has been more devastating in the modern world for over 100 years than the actual torture, imprisonment and slaughter has been in the communist and such other countries .

Yes avoid all idols. Always. "Go and sin no more" . Always. Jesus Word is ignored. Always. Almost. A few find the narrow road to life. Always. Eternally.

If you can obtain and read a Bible, you will learn that this what you say you learn in the bom is totally contrary and opposed to what CHRIST SAYS. i.e. not only is it not in the BIBLE, this statement is all by itself untrue. What you learned is false.
