I see that verse as Paul saying he was going to deliver the good news and start churches in places wherein the people had not heard Jesus himself speak. Thereby not delivering the gospel to areas where Jesus himself had already spoken.

I think you'll find that the scriptures you have there pertain to those who are not redeemed in Christ. Christians are sealed with the holy spirit of God unto the last day. We can backslide sure. But Jesus does not throw us away for that. Just as we are no longer that condemned sinner after our redemption, and have an advocate to the father when we do run afoul of right living so that those trespasses are not counted as sins against us as they once were, so too do we have the holy spirit within us to lead us back to the way if we go astray. We repent and are again one with God. We were always his. That's the meaning in the prodigal son parable. The father was overjoyed to see his youngest son return home even though he was filthy and penniless for having wasted his inheritance through sinful behavior in worldly ways. While what is opposed to thinking that possible as a metaphor for the Christian today who can backslide and return to the father who will receive him, are what is spoken of as the older brother of the young prodigal son. Who did not see the younger return to the fathers home but in hearing he did and was received with joy and celebration, was enraged instead of at peace. Enraged that having walked away the younger son was received back when he chose to return.

Too late. Every church or religious entity that has been afforded a 501(c)3 tax exempt religious status by the IRS has politics in their Christ. That's the rub. Churches don't appear to know they can run tax exempt without that and under the first amendment protection and so called separation clause. The 501(c)3 is what puts the constraints on because that's subscribing to a permission to be tax free under the rules.

I voted for Obama his second time running because Romney wasn't qualified to be trusted to take his place. I think Romney thought the Mormon ticket would get him into the office. But he really was a politician before he was a religious honorable man. In my opinion.

We're not going to reach an accord as one deciding among the billions of us what The One looks like . To meet our ideal of what it has to look like to satisfy our mind that that really is The God. That we breathe proves that God is. Jesus was too. Jesus was God showing people the potential people who connect with him in body, mind, and spirit, can achieve. If they just let go of thinking this flesh comes first. And often that's what divides the human family on earth. We all have this idea of what it is to understand the reason for being. And that is always born from the ego that first thinks it can achieve through itself what that human mind will agree and the consciousness accept the limits thereof, when we each believe we know what God looks like to us. Then we have this need to tell ourselves that in order to find the answer to that question of what is God? We have to lose ourselves. But that we frame limits and identity upon the answer that God must arrive at to meet our question to show proof God is, we use our self awareness. And to sustain that as being right, because we're selfish and self-absorbed, we set bars, criteria, milestones, that what we're led to believe is God must meet in order for us to believe we are worshiping the one true God. We're a riot when I think about it. We look to arrive at a consciousness that denies flesh. Then the products of flesh, mind,ego, sets an ideal for what it will look like when we arrive there. As "its" favorite. Chosen people. There is only one way...... God, from whence all that exists came to exist, has a favorite. Yeah, that's a higher consciousness. As long as we can think we can picture what it means to be the one true God we're always going to be wandering the desert and across generations following that voice that calls us forward and promises there is a shape to it. Just work a little longer, live a little longer, do a few things in faith, and you'll know it. You'll believe it. You'll see it for yourself. Something other that arrives to live sealed inside yourself. Does it come from without? Or is it actually activated from within? When all is God, so too are we particles of the body of God. Finding Jesus, the gateway, as he's called, the door, is opening to what is behind the door inside your awareness of those limits surrounding identity as "self". Behold God with us stands at that door and knocks. Even in the pictures of it in art do you notice? There's no door knob on God with us side of the door. We have to let him in. By letting go of what we think frames the question is there a God and that frame that says yes, and it looks like this.... Look in the mirror. Made in the image and likeness of God. Love God. Love You. Live for the higher awareness that is in the light. Cast off the comfort that is found living in the limits of the dark. God is light. Isn't it wunnerful?

God is the holy spirit. And God was also Jesus Christ. There's only one God. The idea of the trinity in my view is to help identify the actions of God in his will here on earth. When the holy spirit spoke to someone or orchestrated something, it was always God. Jesus of course was God. And as we learned in the Old Testament when it all began God was one. There's only one. Just three different identities being labeled in God's actions throughout the scripture.But it is all God. Jesus was called Immanuel and that meant, God with us. It sounds like there are three but that's always God working his will as one God.

Didn't Jesus rebuke his own people and going to the extreme , when he became enraged some of them were working with the local merchants and exchanging monies before the temple ?
