That’s the statement they have to put out for legal reasons. Only the victim, police and prosecutor can allege rape. Anyway, yes I believe it and I believe he’s probably done worse but managed to keep people quiet in the past.

I can only speak to the part about children- you have to start them out young and trust the Holy Spirit. I spent about an hour a night with my kids in the living room going over scripture, praying and singing. When I fell into a deep depression a couple of years ago, they kept it up on their own because they loved it so much. Been there done that with philosophy teachers in college. It’s horrible. Some have a deep-seated hate for religion and will even mess up your grade if you challenge them. I wouldn’t worry about the future of the Faith because of what’s going on at universities.Not even the gates of hell can prevail against God’s Church. As far as government,I think politics will continue to rotate between liberal and conservative.

In real life, I always, I mean always end up in a discussion about the fact that we’re all broken, all sinners, who are any of us to judge or throw stones. And thus, bad behavior continues...

I don’t know and don’t care either. I stopped taking my kids there because they’re chicken nuggets are the size of popcorn and you only get four. They’re overpriced for what you get.

Your life sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I have my phone to text and check worthy, but besides that I’ve isolated myself from the world too. Haven’t watched the news in weeks and haven’t even left the house. We need to go on a road trip and see this beautiful country and the work of God’s hands.

I don’t know what my life would be like without my thirteen year old daughter. So I chose her. I’m glad you had that type of father. Can’t even imagine what that is like.

A friend of mine is a nurse and said she is devastated that “everyone” is not wearing a mask every single day until there is a vaccine.

I am beyond petrified that there is a war on police! I know all too well how corrupt the police can be, particularly plainclothesmen, but uniformed cops risk their lives everyday and they are the only protection women have. These riots are very confusing! Where was the help for this man before he died if people care so much? What about the kids in Chicago who were living in fear everyday walking to school because of other black boys and men who will take their life in a matter of seconds without thinking? Where are the protests against those murderers if people care so much about black lives? You go to war with the police their lives will only get worse. This is so sad what’s happening now and there are no responsible voices in the media encouraging the public to see this for what it is: a single police officer that killed someone that represents an accountability problem in policing; not a police force of murderers that needs to be disbanded.

I’m waiting for the trial. Police are affected by fear and adrenaline. You don’t just stop as soon as a person is subdued, you stop when you feel safe. Only a person in that situation can make that call. If he was a drug addict they have to take extra precaution with him. What is scary are the riots that will occur if he is found not guilty after the facts are looked at. I know there is racism and hatred, but I also know things are not always as they seem.

I agree with this. Btw, anyone can get a poster and write black lives matter on it and start marching and the media will report that “black lives matter”’are on the scene and then the divisions start. I have seen this happen with my own eyes. I would suggest there are racists who don’t like blacks, Latinos and the list goes on, but they would never hurt anyone. This is about bad policing and the police not being accountable to anyone. You can be as racist as you want to be, but if you know you’re going to lose your pension, your job and your freedom, you will not act on those racist feelings by physically harming someone.Racism needs to be taken out of the discussion and the sole focus should be on police accountability, or we aren’t going to get anywhere.

The community is hostile because of discrimination. Whenever you have groups of people who are disenfranchised, crime is going to be higher among those groups who may feel they have no choice but to seek out illegitimate ways to provide for themselves. Instead of creating a more equal society, the police are sent in to deal with the crime among those who can’t find work. Another issue is that the police want you to forget about their deep history of corruption and the corruption that still lingers. People don’t trust them because of their past sins and the way they abuse their power now in many situations. It’s unfair to say there are just a few bad apples when the police have been rooted and grounded in corruption since its inception.
