Riots, virus, no police-- A little worried
Desopixi Seilynam replied to Figure of eighty's topic in General Discussion
I would say, if you feel fine staying at that job then stay and save as much money as you can. Or you can walk out on that job claiming the virus as a direct reason and therefore most likely definitely get the unemployment benefits as you self-quarantine. .... I think what is a concern is not the "virus" but rather the cure for the virus, the current "cures" and future "cure"... The crash of the worlds economy is another concern. We need not be worried, but it is wise to be prepared. When I shop I grab 3 or so canned food goods to add to my stockpile just in case, as of now canned goods are still cheap; peas, corn, mixed vegetables, etc. Ultimately as we stay focused on Christ, we need not fear anything, nothing will happen to us that is not in His plan. And He loves us dearly. -
Rom 1:16,17 The Gospel Saves Believers
Desopixi Seilynam replied to bcbsr's topic in General Discussion
What shall we say then? Shall we sin that grace abound? Certainly not, how shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein. Romans 6:1-2 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Romans 6:12 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? Certainly not. Romans 6:15 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:8 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. Romans 8:9 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Romans 8:10 But, if the Spirit of Him that raised up Christ from the dead be in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit that is in you. Romans 8:11 Therefore, brethren, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live after the flesh. Romans 8:12 [we don't have to always sin/mess up, because we have the Spirit] For if ye live after the flesh you shall [spiritually] die. But if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the flesh you shall [spiritually] live. Romans 8:13 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14 [those who are not led by the Spirit are not the sons of God] For with the heart man believes unto righteousness Romans 10:10 For we are His creation created in Christ Jesus for good works which God has pre-ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly,[:] that they which haven believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. Titus 3:8 And let everyone that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2 Timothy 2:19 If you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law. Galatians 5:14 And they that are Christs have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. Galatians 5:24 [By the Spirit of Christ that is in them] -
The two promises of God that contradict each other
Desopixi Seilynam replied to alaric_w's topic in General Discussion
Context is always key. "Whosoever believes in Him..." John 3:16 Belief in a person means that you believe and trust what that persons tells you. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life..." John 10:27-28 [the "them" makes clear that we need verse 27] Therefore clearly those receiving eternal life are those that hear His voice, know Him, and follow Him. Not just passive believers; active believers. Therefore during the time of the mark, if any are still here, they will hear the voice of their Sheppard directing them away from the deceptions. ------- 1 Thessalonians does not describe a rapture, Paul is clearly speaking of resurrections, and of literally meeting the Lord in the air. In Revelation chapter 19 we get more information on the marriage supper of the Lamb. We get resurrected to be part of the prophesied resurrected army spoken of in Ezekiel 37:9-10 "come from the four winds... and breath upon these slain that they may live.. and they stood upon their feet and exceedingly great army.." Clearly Ezekiel and Revelation are describing the same events; Ezekiel 37:1-14 = Resurrections "from the four winds" "an exceedingly great army" Ezekiel 37:15-28 = Thousand year reign of the Messiah "and David my servant shall be a king over them and they all shall have one shepherd" [Jeremiah 30:9, Isaiah 26:19-27:1-2] Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 then describe Gog and Magog. Revelation 20:4-5 = Resurrections Revelation 20:6-7 = Thousand year reign of the Messiah Revelation 20:7-10 = After the thousand years; Gog and Magog. [Rev 20:9 - Ez. 38:9] In modern times, most will want you to believe that Ezekiel 37:1-14 is super figurative and is not speaking about resurrections, even though it clearly says "I will open up your graves, and bring you up out of your graves" and "breath upon these slain that they may live" It speaks of the breath of life coming from "the four winds" If we only use scripture to interpret scripture, then it is clear that Christ was referring to Ezekiel's prophecy when He spoke of the four winds in Matthew 24:31 "And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other." That verse clearly connects with Ezekiel 37:9-10 and also with 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "The Lord Himself will descend from the sky with a shout; with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first [the four winds] then we who are alive in remain [one end of heaven to the other] shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thereafter we shall always be with the Lord." It means exactly what it says, in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Not in the clouds to be taken up beyond the clouds, we will be coming down with Christ, to enjoy the marriage supper of the Lamb. The marriage of the Lamb is Psalm 58:10 and Malachi 4:3 coming to pass. "wheresoever the bodies are there will the birds be gathered together" Matthew 24:28 Luke 17:37 > Revelation 19:21 The marriage of the Lamb is described in Revelation 19, Christ will arrive with an exceeding great army behind Him; an army that we can conclude from Isaiah 26:19-27:1-2, Jeremiah 30:9, Ezekiel 37:1-14, Matthew 24:31, 1 Thess 4:16-17, Jude 1:14-15 is an army of resurrected and glorified saints. Christ will slay the beast and false prophet with His army behind Him. In Isaiah it was prophesied that "Israel's dead men shall arise, together with my dead body shall they arise" And then Isaiah goes on to describe the Lord slaying two beasts on that day! Therefore Isaiah 26:19 through 27:1-2 also matches up with Revelation! Isaiah 26:19-21 = Resurrections. Isaiah 27:1-2 = The Lord slays two beasts. Revelation 19 = The Lord arrives with a great army of resurrected and glorified saints Revelation 19:20-21 = The Lord slays two beasts. Putting all the related prophecy together makes clear that Christ and Paul were expounding on prophecy already spoken, and then we get details of the same prophecy in Revelation. ------- Eventually a great war will happen... And until the end of the war, desolations are determined. Daniel 9:26 I believe that sometime during the start of that great war, beast #1, who is a special kind of literal king, will seem to die, and then seem to be healed from death in some marvelous way. The majority of the world will marvel at his healing, something spectacular like 'alien' 'cyborg' 'technology'. Most will hang on his every word hoping to be able to be 'saved' from death in the manner that he seemingly was. He will open his mouth in blaspheme against God, to blaspheme Gods name, and Gods tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. Revelation 13:6. In other words, he will lie about what is above the sky... Beast #1 will then usher in beast #2; one claiming to be Jesus. ------- "Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day (the day Paul spoke of in 1 Thess 4:16-17, the day of Christ; 2 Thess 2:2) shall not come unless there be a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition: who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God" 2 Thessalonians 2:2-12 -
Rom 1:6,7 Called to Belong to Christ
Desopixi Seilynam replied to bcbsr's topic in General Discussion
The Love of Christ, causes the death of flesh; just as you said, our faith based love for Him persuades us to not offend Him. We are motivated by our belief in His death and resurrection, and motivated by our love for Him. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness Romans 10:10 And we are not only motivated by sincere belief and love, we are also empowered by His Spirit, for one of the fruits we receive is self-control. Galatians 5:14-24. For we are His creation created in Christ Jesus for good works which God has pre-ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 Sincere belief in Christ leads to love for Christ which leads to Galatians 5:24 shining true in the believers' life. Following Christ is righteousness, not perfection, perfection would be following the whole entire Torah, all 600+ laws. The good news is that all that is required is that we follow Christ, and His commands are summarized as sincere love for everyone; Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:27-49, Romans 13:8-10, Galatians 5:14, 1 John 4:8, 5:3. "And that He died for all that they which live should henceforth not live unto themselves, but unto Him that died for them and rose again" 2 Corinthians 5:15- 1 reply

Rom 1:6,7 Called to Belong to Christ
Desopixi Seilynam replied to bcbsr's topic in General Discussion
"I have written the more boldly unto you... that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost" Romans 15:15-16 Paul's stated purpose for writing is the sanctification of the Gentiles. "For if you live after the flesh you shall die, but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the flesh you shall live" Romans 8:13 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" Romans 8:14 -
If you continue in my word then are ye my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free... He that practices sin is the slave to sin... if the Son shall make you free you shall be free indeed. John 8:31-36 Sin is transgression against the law. 1 John 3:4 A big part of the good news is; Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do you even so to them, for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12, Romans 13:8-10. A faith based focus on the love taught by Christ and Paul leads to a crucifixion of the flesh. All who sincerely believe that Christ died and rose from the dead, are thereby motivated to live by the love that Christ and Paul taught. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness Romans 10:10 [ 1 Corinthians 13, 1 Corinthians 16:22 + John 14:21, 2 Corinthians 5:15, 1 Timothy 6:3-14, Galatians 5:14-24, Titus 2:11-12 ]

Simply pointing out the tenses that Paul uses in Galatians 5:24 He says that "they that are Christs have..." Sinless would be following the whole Torah,so we won't be sinless, but by the Holy Spirit we will be adhering to the things Paul and Christ said to adhere to. A crucifixion of our flesh based nature towards a Spirit led love based nature; it will happen, by the Spirit, in the life of every sincere believer.
-
They that are (present tense) Christs, have (past tense), crucified the flesh. Yes that crucifixion is a process, and it happens in the life of every sincere believer, they grow day by day leaving more and more of their old self behind as they take hold of the self-control granted them by the Holy Spirit.

The Messiah is the most direct orator for God. The Holy Spirit spoke the most directly; to all mankind; via the Messiah; Jesus. "Therefore... whoever hears these sayings of mine and does not put them into practice is like a fool that built his house upon the sand..." Matthew 7:21-28. "If any man preach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, he is proud knowing nothing..." 1 Timothy 6:3-14. "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything nor un-circumcision, but faith that demonstrates itself by love." Galatians 5:6 Because the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine that is according to godliness are that we sincerely love; Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:27-49, John 15:12.

Revelation 20:10 says that the devil will be tormented forever. Revelation 14:9-11 Does describe "torment" for those in the lake. Christ said that it would be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah than for the cities that reject the apostles. Matthew 10:15 And Christ said that the fire has the power to kill the soul. Matthew 10:28 All the verses are true. It's a fire that causes "the second death". A devouring fire; Isaiah 33:14. It is this current realm set on divine fire, 2 Peter 3:10-12. Some will be directly in the fire, some will be on mountains and rocks, [Matthew 10:15] I speculate that being directly in the fire/lava eventually causes non-existence 'the second death', and that a person would have the choice to fight (painfully forever) against the fire or give into the fire. But I do not think there will be direct torment, such as whips and chains, just that the fire itself and being around it, is torment, also the knowledge of eternal separation from God.

It is likely that they will say that due to the riots/protests the "virus" is back with a vengeance and that we need to quarantine again. And this time with the military on the streets.. because of the riots.... The paper money system is collapsing, and times are changing. Evil men seek to hide themselves and their schemes, and the evil one seeks to mask the end times.

My general test for Bible versions is this; Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus; which walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that keep His commands, that they may have right to the tree of life... Versions that don't have the above two verses translated that way, in my opinion, are in question. The above translation of Romans 8:1 is backed up by verse 2 and everything else Paul says in Romans 8 and Galatians 5:14-24. Revelation 22:14 is not talking about all the commands of the Bible, but rather the teachings of Christ, this is clear from verses 12,13 and 16. And is backed up by 1 John 2:3-4 and 2 John 1:9-10, 1 Timothy 6:3-14, 2 Corinthians 5:15, 1 Corinthians 16:22 + John 14:21.

They that are Christs have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts Galatians 5:24 Christians mature, by the Spirit, such that Galatians 5:24 shines true in their life. It is a process, a process that is happening in the life of every sincere believer. Our lives will not remain a paradox, but rather we will shine as beacons for God as shinning proof of His work. ------- Paul most likely had a tattoo associated with his status in Rome, and authority he had to round up Christians. He was anti-Christ before he was for Christ. But Saul became Paul a completely changed person, by the power of God. The tattoo remained as a mark of his old life, "a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me" But the grace of God was sufficient. What is the grace of God? Matthew 7:12, John 15:12, Romans 13:8-9, Titus 2:11-12. That the spirit of the law is what is important, not the letter (tattoos) One grasping that and sincerely following the simple directive to sincerely love; [Luke 6:27-49] will also overcome the flesh, they won't be sinless perfect because they will have some transgression against the specific commands in the Torah; like eating pork, wearing mixed fabric, etc... But a sincere believer in Christ will reach a level of sincerely living out the love that Christ taught, and going forward they will mature to Galatians 5:24. The first fruit of the Spirit is love, and the last self-control.

Difference between Wishful Thinking and Faith
Desopixi Seilynam replied to xyluz's topic in General Discussion
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen Hebrews 11:1 Abraham believed that Isaac would be resurrected; Hebrews 11:19 And therefore was willing to sacrifice Isaac, and was going through with the sacrifice, his imagination thinking about perhaps how the resurrection would take place. He had a strong belief that God was going to raise Isaac from the dead. [And God will indeed raise Isaac and Abraham from the dead; Isaiah 26:19 Ezekiel 37:1-14] And that faith motivated Abraham to action. If a person really believed that a slot machine was going to win for them, then they would bet the most expensive bet; their wishful thinking is evident in that they don't bet the maximum, but rather just what they can afford. Abraham put the maximum, he really believed that he would experience resurrection, and he will. -

Christ died for all that they which live should henceforth not live unto themselves, but unto Him that died for them and rose again. 2 Corinthians 5:15 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control. (Control over your own self is granted to you via Christ) And they that are Christs have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. Galatians 5:22,24 If any man provide not for his own, especially they of his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than a non-believer. 1 Timothy 5:8 Hereby we do know that we know Christ, if we keep His commands [Luke 6:27-49; sincere love] he that says 'I know Him' and keeps not His commands is a liar and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:3-4 It is not by our power that we keep His commands, it is by His power, it is by His Spirit that we are granted self-control. All who are sincere believers in Christ have His Spirit, and thereby gain control over their own selves. And they that are Christs have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. Galatians 5:24 -
ANYTHING you want...???
Desopixi Seilynam replied to CaptWalker's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Context is key; Verily Verily, I say unto you, he that believes on me the works that I do shall he do also... And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do John 14:12-14 Believing on Him, in the context of John, means believing and receiving the things He said; John 12:47-48. And James said; Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it on your pleasures. James 4:3 And John; Whatsoever we ask we receive of Him, because we keep His commands and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another as Jesus gave us commandment. 1 John 3:21-24 Therefore let us love one another in the way that Christ taught; Luke 6:27-49, and heed the words of His apostles; Acts 15:28-29 1 Thessalonians 4:2-3 -
Grace and Law in OT vs Grace in NT?
Desopixi Seilynam replied to Open7's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
"Moreover brethren, I would not have you ignorant how that all our fathers [Isaiah 51:1-2, 56:7-8] were under the cloud and all passed through the sea... But with many of them God was not pleased.... [Numbers 14:29, 37, 26:65] Now these things became our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted." 1 Corinthians 10:1-13. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared unto all teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present age." Titus 2:11-12 "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything nor un-circumcision, but faith that demonstrates itself by love." Because what Christ taught is love; Luke 6:27-49. The words that Christ spoke are the most direct words from the Holy Spirit of God because Christ was born directly of the Spirit. Luke 1:35, John 6:63 Therefore being led by the Spirit is being led by the words that Christ spoke. It is Christ who said that the whole law is love; Matthew 7:12, it should be clear that Paul is backing up the sermon on the mount, not contradicting it; Galatians 5:14-24. "For with the heart man believes unto righteousness" Romans 10:10 "For faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17 And the most direct words from God came out of the mouth of Christ. He is the Messiah; the Messenger of God. The will of the Father is that we hearken to the Messiah; Deuteronomy 18:18-19. "Not every one that says to me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven" "Therefore.. every one that hears these sayings of mine and does not put them into practice is like a fool that built his house upon the sand..." Matthew 7:21-28 2 John 1:9-10. -

"You don't have to clean up your life, you couldn't if you tried" Was specifically stated by a top "grace" preacher of our times. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and Self-Control. Galatians 5:22-23. Temperance; self control, control over ones own self, is one of the specific gifts, talents, given to us via Christ. The Holy Spirit is the gift, talent, given to all believers; Acts 2:38. And they that are Christs have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. Galatians 5:24. The kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called His own servants, and delivered unto them His goods... Then he which received the one talent came and said... I was afraid and hid thy talent in the ground.... His Lord answered and said, thou wicked and lazy servant... cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 25:14,24-30 -

One time I was greatly tempted but then a documentary against God came on the television, I could have remained thinking about the temptation, or choose the exit; think about and watch the documentary, having my passion for God kindle and thereby very easily the temptation went away. It was God who had the show to happen to play right then at that time where I was, and therefore wrong for me to deny the clear way out that He presented. When we are tempted God literally presents a way out, which usually involves our thoughts, for temptation starts in the mind. If when we are tempted we would let ourselves think on God and His word, the way out of the temptation becomes clear.
