  6. Hello and welcome to Worthy. I chose not to click on your link, but wanted to welcome you here!
  7. It is very sad. I personally know people that more or less worship their pets and place them over people, even their own family members. I love animals, a huge animal lover, but an animal, even a beloved pet should never overshadow a human.
  8. This is truly what I've been praying for! God is good!
  9. Reads like a parable. Our lives should unfold like the parables. I am thankful this "parable" came to pass, my brother now has stage 4 colon cancer and his wife is a pillar at his side. That so sad that your brother has colon cancer but so glad his wife is his pillar! AMEN! God has a plan!

  11. Sue did you read the post from George with everything going on in the prophetic calender? Yes I did Angels, it's an eye opener... there has always been much harvest and few harvester. I'm praying for the harvest! Exciting to be part of this!
  12. "Amen to all you said, the pastors do have to pray and be filled with with Gods Spirit of how discern the sheep from the wolves.." Angels4u AMEN!
  13. My brother was living with his girlfriend. He had two children with her out of wedlock. He was a Christian, hurt by his first marriage so badly it nearly killed him. He started going to a Church with his girlfriend and his two boys. When the pastor found out that they were not married, he asked to meet with them. He did not attack their salvation, he didn't demand that they marry, he did not ask them to leave his church. What he did do is what I wish more churches did. He asked them to walk into the church separately. To sit on different sides of the church. His reasoning was that they belonged in a place where the Word was taught, but he would not allow the youth of the church to see this as something Christians should condone. He told them they were loved but he did not approve of people living together outside of marriage. My brother got angry and left the church. His girlfriend continued to go and gave her heart to Jesus. When my brother saw the change in this woman, and the acceptance, love and teaching his sons were receiving, he married his now wife.
  14. I truly did not believe I would live to see this type thing. I am speechless.
  15. I was actually discussing this with a friend a few days ago. I was floored when I saw it today!
  16. I had Steve_S review this and he is allowing this subject in this forum. http://standupforthetruth.com/2013/07/it-begins-pedophiles-call-for-same-rights-as-homosexuals/
  17. You can't un-ring a bell. Throughout my life there have been people that have assumed, fabricated, analyzed, and just judged me unfairly. I have tried to clear my name, but once something against a Christian has started and it gets fueled by the darkness of their hearts. It becomes nearly impossible to stop. Praying is always the answer. Praying changes you and how you handle each situation. God will vindicate you when need be. It's a journey in knowing who you are in Christ, and what He thinks about you. It's difficult, very difficult, but doable through Christ.

    Salvation

Every law ever given by God is impossible to keep. Even breaking one of the laws in the 10 commandments you are guilty of breaking them all. This all points to why we need a Savior, a sacrifice, Jesus. It's all about what He did. The law was given to show us that works can't get us to Heaven. Once accepting Christ into your heart you are going to feel badly when you do something wrong. The Holy Spirit is our HELPER. He lets us know so we can go DAILY and ask forgiveness of our sins. Working on your personal relationship with Christ is paramount! It's between you and Him, shown to you through the Word and taught to you through the Holy Spirit. It's not about being a "good" Christian. Knowing the Bible from Genesis to The Revelation. It's about you getting into an intimate place with Jesus. I suggest to every Christian to take time in their life where they put down all the books that teach what the Bible means, stop watching and listening to their favorite teachers, and just spend time alone with Jesus. You and Him and the Bible. Ask Him the questions. Ask Him for greater insight and understanding. When I talk to my daughter, I don't want her repeating something from a television show she watched. I don't need her grasping at my feet and crying for forgiveness each time she has disappointed me. I just want my daughter, my authentic daughter with all her mistakes, all her shortcomings, just her. I must believe that's what Jesus wants from us. God made you. He's happy with you even if you aren't happy with yourself. He knows you have learning and growing to do. He's patient and always there. He is Holy. The longer you are in Christ the more you will come to learn and appreciate His Holiness, and His way of doing things. Allow God to teach you... but someone that needs answers also needs to be teachable.
  19. The Moment Abram believed the LORD, and He credited it to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:6 (HCSB) Abraham (when in Abraham's life did James reckon Gen 15:6 was fulfilled?) and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS," and he was called the friend of God. James 2:23 (NASB) Believed (when in Abraham's life did Paul reckon Gen 15:6 was fulfilled?) Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Galatians 3:6 (KJV) I Believe By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. Hebrews 11:17-19 Amen
