Ministry to the Grieving
GloryToGod! replied to Ddavid from NC's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
My son's g/f 23 yr old lost her mother to a long fight with cancer. This poor gal barely has any living relatives, her father died when she was very little. What my husband, son and I have found out is that the loss of a loved one is devastating for the only surviving person. She has been grieving since last Fall. It just takes time for healing to come. You can lavish all your love on your father...but it will just take time especially since they have been together for such a long time. I pray for God's healing touch upon your father. -
I thought the same Onelight. I was surprised to see him begin to state our country's major problems in his inauguration speech.

Thank you for posting this because it really ministered to me. I live in Michigan and things are really hitting us hard with the economy being so tough. My husband's company makes car parts for the "Big 3" and depends largely on the automobile industry. So far God has given favor to my husband and he has not been layed off...Praise The Lord! But things are not well with us financially...we have had to keep Christmas really simple. Now I find that my daughter is on her way to the ER. So I really appreciate some mnistering words. God Bless You!

WN: Automakers try again for $25 billion - Washington Times
GloryToGod! replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in U.S. News
We live in Michigan and my husband works for a shop that relies heavily on work from the big three. I pray that they don't go bankrupt...it would have such a domino effect nation wide. God Bless You... -

I'm a little frustrated, and a little down...
GloryToGod! replied to jaci's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Jaci, I don't believe luck has anything to do with the closing of this second shop. I really believe that nothing happens without God's approval.....not coincidences. I agree with the other poster's before me. Go for it! If you love doing hair then that's most likely what you should do. Also, this economic crisis half of the countries in the world are in isn't helping any. I normally have my hair done by my stylist once a week...thenI do it in between. But because of the decrease in my husband's hours we just can't afford it. Hold on....God will never let you go! -
Question about living together
GloryToGod! replied to pokemaughan's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
The Bible clearly says that we are to "put off all appearance of evil". Living together whether you fornicate or not give off the appearance of sin. The practice of this style of living together is acceptable in today's culture...but falls short in living a life that gives all the glory to God. God Bless -
Dear Oak, I haven't heard from you in a while! How are you doing physically? And how are things going between you are your wife? Last winter I had to have rotator cuff surgery on both my shoulders. One was done last March and the other this past May. Is it possible for you to be examined by a orthopedic doctor? They can do amazing work on shoulders now. Anyways, could you please let us know how you are? God Bless You!

I am thankful that my husband has not been layed off. God gave him favor! I'm also thankful for many other things... my family...my salvation... I could go on and on! Gob Bless You All,

People are doing what they have to stay afloat during this financial crisis.

I am sorry to hear that Focus On The Family is laying off some of their employees. This economic crisis is making so many people lose their jobs. Giving is down everywhere....even at the church my husband and I attend, giving has been way down. My husband's company only has work through the end of November. We are taking it one day at a time and standing strong with God. God Bless
