In due time. I'd be more concerned with this fear of yours. Perfect love casts out all fear... something is a miss. Read 1st John and pray over the amazing truths in it. I guess maybe read Matthew 24 and pray over that too. I am sure some things will become more clear.

It'd be a better idea to worry about the spreading of the Gospel and pointing the lost people to Christ than to wait for His return. Also, look after your own spiritual life so you know you'll be ready when the time comes for His return.

There is always something to fear, but we trust Jesus to know exactly when the best time for the Rapture will be. I get scared, too, because I really don't want to face pain and suffering. The longer Jesus waits, though, the more chance we have to witness to others and bring othrs to Christ. Remember:

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Hebrews 13:5-6

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Tigger,

A very wise Christian told me that fear is NOT of the Lord. You must have Faith and read the Word and Trust in Jesus. God will decide the time of His coming.

Jeremiah 51:46

Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land; one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.

Matthew 8:26

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

We do not know the time of His Coming - we must always be aware and be prayerful and obedient to God. Worry does not do any good - it is not of God.

We all have sinful habits in our lives that we need to overcome. For some it could be fits of rage, for others gossip, for others murmering and complaining, . . . .

I kow how you feel - believing you need to be the perfect example, the perfect witness, the perfect Chritian, a super soul-winner, . . . .

But this is not Scriptural. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus...." (Romans 8).

As a person whose struggled all my life with clinical chronic depression and major depressive episodes, it sounds to me like you are struggling with the same problem. I would always beat myself up, too. (Still do, actually.)

I know it's hard to believe, but the Lord isn't holding a sledge hammer over your head witing for you to do something wrong so that He can bop you over the head with it. Can you believe He would rather you run to Him when you're covered in mud and saying, "Daddy, I fell again," so that He can wipe the mud off of you? Rather than you running away from Him and figuring out how to wipe the mud off yourself on your own?

I'm still coming to terms with this myself.

Let yourself believe He LOVES you. The more you trust in His love, the more His character will be worked in your life . . . without you having to try.

Your heart is in the right place -- wanting to share Jesus with others. You don't have to be perfect to do that...none of us are perfect. It is up to each one of us to be a witness for Him, and if we don't get results at least the seeds have been planted. It isn't us doing the saving anyway, it is Christ. We plant the seeds and let God do the rest. As far as smoking, well I don't see a Scripture that says "Thou shalt not smoke". No, it is not healthy for you or others around you, and it is a waste of money. Now, I happen to overeat -- which is not healthy and a waste of money. There are lots of things that we do need to try and overcome, but don't let your lack of perfection stop you from witnessing.

Jesus will come when the time is right.

Tigger,

As a former smoker - I struggled several times to quit. I finally got down on my knees and begged God for His Help. I asked Him to take this awful burden away from me - to break the bondage. He DID IT!! I haven't smoked for many, many years now. I haven't wanted one - He actually made me dislike the smell of them and I find it almost nauseating. Having more money was good, too!! I have never felt better. So... what I'm trying to say is that it CAN be done. Some people do it like I did and some do it with medical help - but you can do it, you just have to decide that enough is enough. Blessings to you!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
