Ohhhhh - I can only pick one? There's too many that I want to meet! Most everyone that knows me knows I'd pick Elijah, but I'd also choose Abraham. Or Joseph. Or Noah. Or Moses. Or Calib. Or Aaron. Or David's mighty men, especially the Three. Or the wise men that sought out Jesus at his birth. Or Joseph, the husband of Mary. :bg:

NOW, if I were picking in the New Testiment.... :t2::blink:

:bg: !!!!!!

I would have to pick two. Enoch and Elijah.

Reason? They were both translated (raptured) so must have had a relationship with the Lord that was totally awesome.

In His Love,

Bro John

Apart from meeting our Lord and Savior in all His magnificence and glory.....

Which saint or person from the Bible would you most like to meet? It could also be someone who's known for their great love of the Lord, such as Corrie Ten Boom or Joni Erickson Tada or Francis Schaffer.

As for me, I would love to meet King David and listen to him play the harp and sing psalms.

Moses has always been my favorite person in the Bible (not counting Jesus of course). I would like to talk to him.

Respectfully,

Strservant

I think I would like to get to know John the apostle, because He was the one which the scripture says, Jesus loved the most, he was the one that layed His head on MeSHiaCH, He was even more faithful then Peter, when Peter tried to stay around Messiah, during the hard times, he denyed him three times, and John was the one who was openly know, by the evil people even being in there midst, he was the one who Jesus said this is your mother to him, and this is your son to Mary. I think John showed the most dedication, and love. So I would want to know Him, and hang around Him quite alot. I would feel bad if I did not mention I would also want to be around just as much Peter who was the main leader, and the key bearer, James who basically ruled the Jerusalem church through MeSHiaCH, Paul who brought the full understanding which we have today for all nations, and Peter, and ended up agreeing with him, Paul I would want to be around, Thomas who I believe went to India, and India know has its own people, and other asian nations have their own people witnessing to them, Gospel for Asia, is a good organization for the most part, especially the leader of the organization. I would love to be in God's presence listening, and heeding the apostles, while they are teaching me, and others, yet I would like to have a personal relationship with them all, to know the love of Meshiach which passes understanding.

I'm not good at conversation, so The Lord will do me. I'm not much good around people. I'd probaly say Gidday to Peter and Hi,Paul and that's about it.

eric, you'd get along right fine with Moses, don't you think? He said he wasn't good at speaking, if I remember right.

Mat 8:5  And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

Mat 8:6  And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

Mat 8:7  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

Mat 8:9  For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

Mat 8:10  When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Mat 8:11  And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

I think the story of this mans faith has moved me a great deal over the years and been such an example and an encouragement...I truely look forward to some great fellowship with him and the servant that he cared so much about...I doubt if I will be able to get a word in edgeways to some of the more prominent Biblical figures..as all those people that rush up to speak to the Pastor after the meeting will beat me to it...but as I have eternity to get around all the Heroes of Faith I am not in a rush.LOL

Well, I know the OP asked for saints and Bible people - but do you want to know who I really want to meet when I get to Heaven?

I'd like to meet my paternal grandparents, if they made it, because I never knew them in this life. I'd also like to see again my Grandpa and my aunt. And then I'd like to see my childhood friend, Branch, who died in an accident and my youth group friend Eric who died of cancer at age 17-18.

And if pets go to Heaven, I want them back!

Then I'll worry about what famous people to meet.

But I'm with God-man about Paul. Don't know if his reasons are the same as mine, but he really should have clarified some of his points better! :t2:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
