Well, I'm sure there are many people who know and could tell him. Besides, what's wrong with WND? I've never read anything that wasn't backed up with facts on it.

Of course Obama knows that he is likened to Christ. He made reference to it in the "roast" between him and McCain before the election. I don't know for a fact that he likes it but he sure hasn't done anything to stop it. Yes I know that he can't control everyone, but if he truly found these types of things offensive, like being compared to Jesus, then he should voice his dislike. Then people would know where he stands on it. Personally I think we already know where he stands by his silence.

I firmly believe that something needs to be done however - I think that anything he does is going to be critiqued ad nauseum .... if he mentions Jesus even in passing as a comparison that he finds incorrect or not appropriate - he'll be criticized and denounced .... I'm convinced that it does not matter what he does or says - he'll be blasted ... it's just the way many people are.

And it's this way with every president.

Personally, I believe if he DID say anything, he would be accused of disrespecting the Messiah by being offended by the comparison. Obama will never do anything that pleases the ultra right wing and I'm sure he is very aware of that fact.

And if Obama doesn't speak out against this, then I take that as evidence that he doesn't know Jesus (aka. that he isn't a Christian).

Its not widely regarded as even being a remotely credible news source. Most people who actually know about it call it "World Nut Daily". I would imagine that the Whitehouse reads conservative publications like The National Review, but I would doubt they read anything as fringe as World Net Daily.

WND is not a credible source for much of anything. They don't print lies but they do spin and do the misleading headline thing a LOT (they know most people only read the first few paragraphs of an article) but they always give the facts near the end. They are as right leaning as MSNBC is left leaning; to me, neither is a legitimate news source.
