I'm curious. As we're all human, and thusly, all subject to ridiculous error and repeated mistakes... :emot-handshake:

I'm wondering, what is it that you all do to deal with that? It seems no matter how hard I try, I always fall flat on my face. Sometimes I'll go for weeks and months without any major 'issues', and then sometimes it seems I was meant to fall over! It just gets so frustrating... it's like living with a terrible roommate that doesn't respect your wishes and does the exact opposite of what you want. But I can't kick him out! I get tired of it... I want to be right with God at all times, you know? So I can better do the work He has for me... but when I'm busy scooping myself up after an error, I'm so useless to Him!

So what do I do? What do you do?

FYI I've been really disjointed from God recently, after some rough conversations with me Mormon pappy and best friend's guardian.

When you mess up, confess your sins to God. 1 John 1:8-10

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1. Know that God isn't caught by surprise. Yeshua paid for all of your sins past, present, and future.

2. Agree with the Holy Spirit that what you've done is wrong

3. Don't let the devil discourage you. The Lord WILL complete the good work He has started in you. Your cooperation will shorten the process, your neglect will lengthen it.

4. Die to yourself or He will have to break you

5. Submit to the Lord, then resist the devil and he will flee

6. Get a cat and teach it to poop in your roomates bed everyday. He'll leave soon.

Thanks Yod... both of these made me chuckle.

The first reminds me of the Russian guy in the Rocky film. "I vill break you"

What kind of cat do you suggest? :emot-handshake:

Ever watch a baby take their first steps? First, you hold onto both hands and waddle them back and forth so they get the idea of placing one foot in front of another. Then, when they get the idea, you let them walk themselves as they hold on for dear life. After awhile, you let go of one hand and they learn balance. Soon, you let go of their hand, they walk awhile, then ... boom! Down they go. At first, they look at you with surprise and start to cry. After awhile, they just look at you as if asking to be picked up again. Then, they try to get up themselves, but need assistance. After awhile, they can get up themselves. Will this child ever learn to walk without never falling down? Nope, at 55 I still trip now and again. Don't be discouraged!

Poke,

All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Keep your faith and know that God Loves You. You are His Child. Pray, talk to the Lord and read His Word.

Isaiah 33:2

O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress

Blessings!!

How about a Lion from the Tribe of Judah? We all stumble, and it can get discouraging. But remember that Jesus Christ died for your sins past, present, and future. Too often people think that Christ died for their sins, they accept Christ and know they are forgiven, then think that it up to them to stay saved after that. Well, Christ didn't just die for the sins you committed before you were saved, His blood covers all of your sins. What Alan said is exactly right -- babies fall, they get up and try again...they are determined to walk. But you know what? I'm not a baby any more, but the other day I took a tremendous fall. Yep, I fell flat on my face and my nose got skinned where my glasses slid down. I could not hid the wound, and had to admit to everyone that I fell. I learned, though. I won't try to run to help my husband water the dogs when the ground is frozen solid. I will be more cautious and walk and look carefully for the frozen hose which just might be in my path.

The word ' I ' seems to be popping up a lot. Holy Spirit where are you?:24:

Just about every story we read in the Bible of those following God struggled at times and had weakness. God's not looking for a perfect person to do his work... none would be found of us. Just someone to agree with Him and follow what he gives us through the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Just like with those in the Bible they repented after struggling and stepped back into obedience. Obedience is a key word here because basically it means to 'stop trying' or relying on self, and just follow (trusting) Him to get it done through us. :noidea:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
