Let us both agree that, as we speak, there is no fire burning right now in that hell that you are refering to/ that you are currently believing in.

Surely if that is true, then there will be no purpose at all for the ressurection/ judgement.

So now that fire coming down, will be switching hell ON, that is that will be fire for hell.

Is there fire in hell right now as we speak?

Or does hell not exist yet?

Exactly, there is no fire in hell right now as we speak/ writing.

Otherwise we were going to see it because hell is here on earth, thank for the relevant question that answers the above.

Grace to you,

Please expound dear friend. Use Scripture to verify your understanding too. Not just citing Revelation 20, please explain Revelation 20 because some discount your theory and understanding.

Peace,

Dave

The only glimpse we have is in a parable by Jesus.

Luke 16:19-31 (New King James Version)

The Rich Man and Lazarus

There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’

Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’

I am really confused by your comments. Do you think this life is the hell scripture talks of?

Grace to you,

It appears that you have the impression that the bottomless pit, prison of satan fr 1,000 years, is indeed hell, but that is not the case. satan after his release from the bottomless pit will attempt one last shot at overthrowing the Kingdom. Ultimately, he will fail and then he is thrown into hell forever to be tormented. Nowhere does scripture indicate where this hell is located. We can only assume that the bottomless pit is on earth, but this is not now and by no means hell. It is more than likely Tartarus.

Here is a quote from Scofield on the passages you cite in Revelation 20;

Re 20:10

2 devil

Satan, Summary: This fearful being, apparently created one of the cherubim Cmt. on Eze 1:5 Cmt. on Eze 28:12 and anointed for a position of great authority, perhaps over the primitive creation, (note 3); Cmt. on Ge 1:2 Eze 28:11-15 fell through pride Isa 14:12-14 His "I will" Isa 14:13 marks the introduction of sin into the universe. Cast out of heaven Lu 10:18 he makes earth and air the scene of his tireless activity Eph 2:2; 1Pe 5:8. After the creation of man he entered into the serpent. Cmt. on Ge 3:1, and, beguiling Eve by his subtilty, secured the downfall of Adam and through him of the race, and the entrance of sin into the world of men Ro 5:12-14.

The Adamic Covenant Cmt. on Ge 3:14 promised the ultimate destruction of Satan through the "Seed of the woman." Then began his long warfare against the work of God in behalf of humanity, which still continues. The present world-system Re 13:8 organized upon the principle of force, greed, selfishness, ambition, and sinful pleasure, is his work and was the bribe which he offered to Christ Mt 4:8-9. Of that world-system he is prince Joh 14:30; 16:11 and god 2Co 4:4. As "prince of the power of the air" Eph 2:2 he is at the head of vast host of demons. Cmt. on Mt 7:22. To him, under God, was committed upon earth the power of death Heb 2:14. Cast out of heaven as his proper sphere and "first estate," he still has access to God as the "accuser of the brethren" Re 12:10 and is permitted a certain power of sifting or testing the self-confident and carnal among believers Job 1:6-11; Lu 22:31-32; 1Co 5:5; 1Ti 1:20 but this is strictly permissive and limited power, and believers so sifted are kept in faith through the advocacy of Christ Lu 22:31-32. Cmt. on 1Jo 2:1. At the beginning of the great tribulation Satan's privilege of access to God as accuser will be withdrawn Re 12:7-12. At the return of Christ in glory Satan will be bound for one thousand years Re 20:2 after which he will be "loosed for a little season" Re 20:3,7-8 and will become the head of final effort to overthrow the kingdom. Defeated in this, he will be finally cast into the lake of fire, his final doom. The notion that he reigns in hell is Miltonic, not biblical. He is prince of this present world-system, but will be tormented in the lake of fire.

Peace,

Dave

But again, Heaven and Hell aren't what we should be focusing on. It it JESUS we are to focus on.

so you choose what to read in the Bible?

I've read the entire Bible.

The way you are handling this is a poor way to conduct a discussion.

The answer is contained in the Bible, read Revelation 20:9 it says that hell is here on earth.

Not sure how you got Hell out of that verse?

It is not me, it is the scripture.

Well, you are going to have to explain that one . . . because you are obviously reading something that the rest of us are not.

Please let me know if you still contradict the scripture.

God Bless

Please let me know if we are reading the same Scripture.

I am so surprised that you could read the entire Bible and you could not pickup/ find out where hell is.

The way i am handling this discussion is not poor, but rather different, it will finally make it clear to all who always believed what they are currently believing.

Until now, it seems to me that no one can confidently pinpoint exactly where hell is.

It is for this reason that i decided to conduct this discussion this way.

Please bear with me with the approach if that does not go down well with you.

NB: You cannot keep on doing the same thing and expecting different results."same thing" is, you always believed that you do not know where hell is exactly.

Now I am here to show it to you. I am confident that sooner or later, you will finally agree that your long awaited answer about where hell is, is answered.

Please allow me to remind you that for Ages, people believed that the world was flat, christopher colombus to a crue around the world and proved that the world i actually round, not flat.

So please bear with me as we are unpacking/ discovering that hell is for real and it is here on this very earth that we are living in.

Please explain your scripture. So far all you have said is "Rev 20:9" "hell is on earth" "I am right and you are wrong". You need to justify why you think hell is on earth now. I proved using scripture that hell cannot be on this earth. Read again carefully. Your position clearly violates scripture.

Hell is eternal,

Matt 18:6 (NASB)

If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire.

but this present earth is destroyed.

Rev 21:1 (NASB)

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.

Simple logic dictates that hell cannot be on this earth.

Please stop simply quoting Revelations, and explain how you use this scripture to back up your claim, and please also answer my argument (which disproves your claim!).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
