Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but simply in response to the first post, I agree.

And, not to mention, the collected Apocrypha. Considering the books in the bible were VOTED in, and Jesus's divinity was VOTED on (a close vote, apparently), it's foolish to believe the Bible to be authentic and true.

Here are some of them in their original and whole format.

Grace to you,

I'll agree with Trinty. How do you know God's Word doesn't work? Have you tried it?

Peace,

Dave

ad hominem 'arguments', aren't.

The burden of proof is not on me, but I can furfill it easily enough.

Not since the apparent stories have it, has anyone walked on water, turned water to wine, or any of those other magic tricks.

There is no scientific basis for any of those, either. Prove it is possible. If Jesus is real, strike me down now. *Continues typing*. I do not fear God, as there is none.

If god forgives all, and grants redemption and whatnot, why does a Hell exist at all? If I create something, I want it to be perfect, or as close to perfection as possible. If God handed down a rule, and wanted it followed, he would create them so that they followed it. Any that failed would be killed. He would know beforehand that which would happen, and would turn it in his favor.

Does God have a God-Complex?

Grace to you,

God has a Grace complex. :)

I would testify of things I see daily. Only problem it would be ad hominem to you. God is a Spirit and must be worshipped as such. Manifestations of the Spirit to a non Spiritual man will make no sense.

God gets no Glory from robots. He desires Obedience born of Love from a Grateful heart.

What good would it do to destroy you today? Finite man? His Word has stood since before the Dawn of Creation. It will continue to stand long after you are gone. He has won the fight. Struggling with you is not His desire. His testimony is complete and His redemptive work is done. The fact that you don't choose to believe it. Doesn't change the facts of eternity. Striking you dead would bring Him no pleasure. You may yet be Saved?

He Lives and does not rely on you for His life. Rather you rely on Him. There is no higher mountain He could have climbed to show you His Love. He gave up all His Glorious Riches in Christ Jesus.

The fact that you find no value in them? Does not render them valueless. They are quite valuable in God's sight.

His Word stands and will stand. It does not rely on your non belief.

God's Word is True and every man a liar. Thus when the Word has stood over you. He will be proven True.

Please don't toy with God. He does in fact Live . You saw the branch out from under yourself. The very Branch that you stand upon.

It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of a Righteous God.

Peace,

Dave

This is flawed logic.

But first, before I get to the reason why your logic is serioulsy flawed, I'd like to point out that the previous poster did not engage in the ad hominem fallacy. Check out the Nizkor Projectwebsite if you want to understand what ad hominem is.

The burden of proof is not on me, but I can furfill it easily enough.

Well, seeing as how you have arrived at a Christian website forum, and since you have made the claim that God does not exist, the burden of proof is upon you the accuser to prove to us that he does not.

Now, let's examine your statement:

...I do not fear God, as there is none.

Yours is an affirmative statement of fact. You did not say, "I do not believe there is a god" nor did you say, "There might not be a god," and you did not even say, "There probably is no god." You said, "...there is none," meaning, "There is no god."

Since you have made an affirmative statement of fact (There is no god), then you must know that there is no god. Now, if you know that there is no god, then you must posess the same qualities that a god would have in order to make such a statement. In other words you, being omnipotent, must know that there is not an omnipotent god. And you, being omnipresent, must be in all places in all times at once in order to come to the conclusion that God does not exist.

So, if you are in China right now, and on Mars right now, and you are also at this very moment in the past and the future. Then you yourself must be God. Also, if you are all-powerful - if you can create and destroy anything at will, and nobody other than yourself can do likewise, you must be God. Therefore, your statement that there is no God is illogical. Unless you do not believe that you exist, then you cannot say that there is no God, for you are he!

Therefore, my friend, it must be you that has the God-complex. For not only have you made yourself a god by your own statement, but by the very fact that you have placed yourself at the center of your own creation you have made yourself God.

Foolish you say? Well of course. The Bible's logic is perfect in this respect. it simply says that the fool has said in his heart, "There is no God."

BTW: The reliability, accuracy and trustworthiness of the Bible have been irrefutably confirmed over and over (and over) again. No need to prove it to you yet again.

The Bible's New Testament is compiled of around 30 'books'.

There are over 24,000 'books' of scripture.

So can someone please tell me why we don't take into account the remaining scriptures? All scripture is God-breathed, right?

Peace,

~KB

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
