I watched this interview - twice. Just to make sure I truly listened to her questions and his answers. He clearly states he is not a journalist (I think we all knew that) and said he is an "opinion guy" ... take him at his word - he's giving an opinion in a broad way to entertain... He claims that his audience are really people who don't want to "get off the couch" and they just want it broken down for them... I give his audience a bit more credit than being too lazy to change the channel or to form a lucid opinion when given accurate and unbiased facts.

As far as his Mormonism - he claims, as a recovering alcoholic, it helps with his sobriety and it helps him serve others - he said we are all born as God's children and no matter what you do, there is a path back to him - and it teaches him the truth ... that his family is sacred, and that they will see each other over the eternities ... I don't quite know what that means. :group-hug:

I agree with you, Dave, that his answer, at least to me, doesn't lead to life - but, we shouldn't depend on entertainers to lead us to - life everlasting.

Thank you for sharing the link to this - I heard it the other day and I did want to watch it again. :noidea:

Sister,

I agree. :group-hug:

Here's the thing though and why I always urge folks caution with Glenn Beck. In the interview he agree's with Couric that peoples background necessarily colors and informs their decisions and forms a basis for their opinions. He expressly commented on Obama's former Pastor of 20 some years, Pastor Wright, as an example of what we should examine about Obama and I agree. :group-hug:

As a Born Again Christian what colors and informs my decisions and forms the basis for my opinions is the Lord, my Salvation, and the Kingdom to come.

However, the same applies to him. His own apocolyptic views, specifically involving this Nation, should be examined in Light of his confessed Faith in the Mormon Religion. :group-hug: We should hear what he say's through the lens of what inform his decisions and forms the basis for his opinions.

I agree with Glenn beck on alot of things. However, since I have been listening to him with an understanding of the False White Horse Prophecy I have seen glaring examples of Mormon Theology and his Religion pouring forth from his commentary and quite frequently to boot. So much so that I will not let my children listen to Glenn Beck anymore, if I am in the car with them I will turn him off.

Peace,

Dave

I agree with certain things he says - but, like you, I think we have to look closely at what colors and influences his opinions and comments - as we should everyones. There are fragments of truth .. and untruths in all the 'talking heads' - one must really look, listen, research and think... The only real, total and complete truth I find is in Jesus. Thanks Dave!

Isn't that the truth? This is why I always say we shouldn't put our head in a political box, blindly agreeing with Mr. 'D' or Ms. 'R'. Glenn Beck's okay sometimes but, like I said before, I just can't get past the Mormon thing.

Oh...my....that's just not good. I don't think I can listen to someone who goes completely insane over a call in. Such behavior is often a sign that all is not well with a person.

When one is saved, sound & secure in Christ Jesus, our Matchless Lord & Savior, one need not fear a Glenn Beck, even a Mormon Glenn Beck. The fallacies of its 19th-century peep-stoning, polygamous founder, Joseph Smith, Jr. of Sharon, Vermont & Palmyra, New York, are quite evident in the light of Holy Scripture. Smith was dead wrong on practically everything he touched upon including men becoming gods, Garden of Eden in Missouri, USA, the restoration of both Melchizadek & Levitical Priesthoods, celestial mariage, the way of eternal salvation, etc, etc. However, Beck when compared to either socialist Barack Obama or, as William Safire once called Bill Clinton's wife. a "congenital liar"referring to Hillary Rodham Clinton (Toronto Globe & Mail, September 28, 2009) the choice is a no-brainer. Please give me Glenn Beck (not Mormonism) as the next President of the United States of America beyond any doubt. If not Beck, then surely Sarah Palin in 2012.

God Bless The USA!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
