Does it really make a difference to anyone if they make laws against preaching His word? Let the Apostles be our examples. If they place us in prison, then preach to the prisoners, they need salvation too!

As usual Onelight, you hit the mark. Darn!! lol

This is more than being against true hate or true hate speech with which i myself agree, but that no one can speak out against others choice of sexual behaviour or anything disagreeable to them.

Would it be a crime to speak out against adult brother/sister marriage?

It seems that it will depend on wether a group of people are offended and see it as hate, but i did see another post where the gay spokesperson was adamant it would not mean preachers would be censored.

At this point it does seem to be mostly against hateful speech etc, which if we apply "do unto others..." then i too would want the law to protect me if others were hateful towards me with intent to harm?

Right on OneLight :noidea: I was mainly thinking how slippery Satan was to get people like Ellen to think they were loving but that Christians were narrow minded and hateful. The look on her face and venom in her speech was quite striking to me, but as you say "bring it on".

The Martyrs in other countries are known to not ask for prayer for deliverance but rather perseverance in preaching.

doing away with hate crimes? it will never happen. all crimes are motivated by hate. have you ever seen a crime committed that was done out of love?

I love your answer! :noidea: I wonder if hell will be hotter for someone who kills someone that falls into the hate list category or just a common ordinary elderly man or woman, a child, teenager, or even a christian? Somehow I think the judge of the earth will hand out equal opportunity to all who kill, no matter who.

I detest this new law with all of my heart.

her name is ellen degenerate. OOPS! i meant degeneres.

you're right. the world is so mixed up and deceived that it can't tell right from wrong and love from hate. christians are not the ones doing the hating. you post a good reminder of how this is a spiritual battle, and we should try to keep that in mind!

You may or may not have been joking, but I will address this issue anyway.

You should not call her degenerate. Here is an article written by Tim Wilkins, ex homosexual and leader of a speaking ministry on homosexuality. He is neck deep in ministering to these people, and knows his stuff.

"I disdain, I abhor the comments that come from so-called Christians that attempt to dehumanize homosexuals," Wilkins said. "I am diametrically opposed to Ellen DeGeneres' views, but I am even more opposed to those who call her Ellen Degenerate."

i was joking, sorta. but i do often call her that, and will continue to do so. i don't call her that because she's a lesbian, i call her that because it's a facetious name for someone whose views i disagree with, and i'd call her that if, for example, she was a heterosexual who supported abortion. it's the exact same thing as me calling the dixie chicks the ditzy twits... and they're not lesbians (to my knowledge), or calling a character on a tv show i watch "dizzy lizzy", "lizard", and "reptile".

OK, we all have pet names we call people that we disagree with, usually some play on their name. This particular nickname is kind of a token example, and most people associate it with her being degerate because or her orientation and will read that into the nickname when it is used.

and some people associate harmless terms like "nappy headed" with racism too. that doesn't make it so. (nappy headed is a southern phrase that has nothing to do with race.) and as you said, making a play on words doesn't make degenerate have anything to do with homosexuality.

If caring that people take care of their bodies and not abuse them in means they were not meant to be. Then label me a hater. Label me a hater of all body abuse like slavery, drug abuse and sexual perversion.

This is the world we live in. Where Sin is paraded on the streets freely. The day is coming when God will put an end to this.. that will be a happy day. I can finally be free.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
