It is not so He can learn anything He did not already know. He does not always give us the reasons He allows tests to come into our lives. he never told Job (at least scripture does not record Him explaining it to Job)

I believe that being tested will ultimately make us stronger in our Faith.

An Email I received this morning...

"So they arrived at the other side of the lake, in the land of the Gerasenes." Mark 5:1, NASB

The disciples not only arrived at the other side of the lake, going through the storm, but they came out more mature, more complete, fuller of faith.

Here are some of the lessons we can learn through their storm:

1). THE STORM WILL NOT LAST FOREVER!

2). THE LORD'S "SLUMBER" IS NOT INDIFFERENCE TO ME.

3). I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE GOING THROUGH STORMS.

4). THE LORD WILL FINISH THE WORK HE BEGAN IN ME.

5). I CAN HAVE JESUS' VERY OWN PEACE.

6). THE BOAT IS NOT GOING TO SINK!

Testing makes us stronger, redefines us as Christians and teaches us.

and though sometimes it may feel as if we're tested to breaking we can remeber that God never allows anyone to be tempted/tested beyond what they can endure.

God tests us... but why? For what reason?

The Angels of the LORD like to ask questions to answers they already know. This is mostly so that WE consider and think about what we are doing.. For example Hagar who was running away from Sarah in the wilderness. The Angel asked her where she was coming from and where she was going to help her think rationally..

Now, I would like to ask.. why does God test us, if He already knows all the answers? Is it for our personal development? Or is there more? Jesus was tested, Moses was tested, the people of Israel were tested, King David, and so on..

Thoughts?

I can't prove it with scripture, but I get the idea that he didn't test Lucifer... He gave us all free will and wants to see if we will be faithful to him or take the road of Lucifer. There are things we will be doing and he needs to know how we stand.

Keep in mind that is just a thought according to Sam, so take it with a grain of salt.

Who is Sam?

I don't think it's necessary though for Almighty GOD to see anything. He knows everything.. but he does ask us questions to show us something about ourselves.

James 1:18 says, Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of His creatures. God knows that we have the best in us. Sometimes, He allows testing to bring it out, for us to see or to bring it back to our remembrance. I believe that these test makes us stronger in Christ Jesus, and brings about thanksgiving and rejoicing in the end. These test refines us and makes us stronger. They also enables us to witness to others about God's love. We should also be aware that not all test are brought to prove us to God. God allows some of these test to come about, to prove to Satan that we love God and His Son beyond measure, and that we are lead by the Holy Ghost. In Job 1:6-10, it shows just how much God believes in our love for Him: "Now there was a day when the sons of God came and present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also were among them. And the Lord said to Satan, "From where do you come? So Satan answered the Lord and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant (add your name), that there is none like him/her on the earth, a blameless and upright man/woman, one who fears God and shuns evil? That is so POWERFUL!! God is upfront with us, He brought us out of darkness into the light, and left the Word as a guide for victorious living. And He will, for the much part use these test to reward believer for obeying God's Word (James 1:12), and to prove that our faith is genuine (1 Peter 1:7). Whatever way a test comes, God knows us best, and we should be able to stand and boldly say as David in Psalms 26:2; Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart. For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I have walked in Your truth. It would be worth your while to read the hold chapter..........jotful

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want." Psalms 23:1

How can this verse be true, because I do want, but when God test me I learn though faith, patience which will make me complete wanting nothing.

"(2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; (3) Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. (4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may perfect and entire wanting nothing."

James 1:2-4

The Apostle Paul says tribulation worketh patience, and patience, experience and experience, hope. But read in Romans 5:5 what this hope does to us; to have what is spoken in Romans 5:5 will make any believer in Christ not want. Or as the Psalmist said, "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalms 37:4

In all honesty my opinion is that by the test which I often fail I learn to rely more on God, because I have a tendency to forget the grace which is given to me through Jesus Christ. My schoolmaster (the law) helps me to remember Jesus my wonderful Savior (Galatians 3:24). I think sometimes God knows we are going to fail the test, and loving reminds us that Christ is the Foundation or as Regis would say our FINAL ANSWER (Romans 7:24-25; I Corinthians 2:2, 3:11) which will always cause us to pass the the test as a child of God (Galatians 3:25-26)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
