WOW

We are the first people in the family called on for help, we always say yes. It has always been that way. We were always there when anyone needed things doneor needed help.

Seems like when you give up so much of your time and $ for others, glad to help everyone, and stop having time for your own friends and enjoyment, you should have tons of people to call. INSTEAD YOU ARE EXHAUSTED WHILE THEY ARE ENJOYING THERE LIFE. and they do not have time to help you.

Sorry that sounds a little harsh. :x:

It seems without having your family to depend on when we need help or friendship. We now have been blessed to received a best friend (Jesus), peace, more time, and a closer relationship with each other. And to top that off we received a releace from fear, and bondage, and unwarented judgements.WE ARE FREE

Free to be yourself the way Jesus made you.

Hmmm....first (after the obvious, lol) would be my s-i-l next door. (even over my brother, lol - sorry, girls just need girls in an emergency). My girlfriend Kim, or my girlfriend Rose. Rose isn't a Christian but wouldn't hesitate to help me. My Pastor and his wife. And about 5 internet friends that would do anything for me (not all Christians) and I for them.

Truthfully, I probably wouldn't call anyone though. I'm the kind of person that just does it on my own. I got one of those phone calls once that every mother dreads - 1:00 a.m and my son was in a wreck, and I didn't think to call anyone, I just got the other kids up and went.....

If I was physically in need though, or mentally in despair, it would be those people above.

If anyone knows where I can call for prayer in the middle of the night in an emergency, please let me know.

I honestly don't have a single soul I know of who I could call.... Cats

Cats I would feel really blessed to be able to pray for you in any emergency! I can't do much else from Ontario but pray. So if you would like my number let me know ok? You should not feel alone especially not when you are part of the biggest family in the world the body of Christ!

Love You

Marilyn

I would call on Jesus first and if I needed someone to pray with me and it wasn't a huge emergency I would call the 700 Club and pray with a prayer partner.

Other than that, I have a very large extended family, which includes over 20 people that I could call at any time of the night in case of an emergency.

Then I have friends that I have made and friends my husband and I have made through church and our business that I could call in the night if we needed them. Many of our business associates are Christian people and have been there for us before when we needed prayer.

Then there are other friends I've made here at Worthy, that have been truly wonderful and have offered to be there for me/us to call anytime for prayer or for help or EVEN just to be there for me in a PM or an MSN message.

All of these people, I do thank God for and they are priceless, but as far as going to any people, my first inclination is to go to God first, depending on how critical the situation is and if the need is there, I know I can contact any of these people at anytime.

God

paramedics (if necessary)

sisters

Mom (except I wouldn't want to freak her out)

The last family emergency we had, after my initial panic, I just stood there and prayed. So I really don't know if I would call anyone.

I am sooooo blessed to have such a wonderful, Christian family support system (mine and my husbands). I can't begin to tell the blessings God has given me!

Uhhhhhhhh Steve, I believe she indicated that our business associates were Christians and if we call the church wouldn't you presume they would be Christians as well? Why should you care anyway? Go outside and clear your sinuses boy!

Um, that was an inquiry, not a judgment there.

Yes, I understand that her business associates are Christians. But she also said she'd call 700 Club before them.

That was my question.

Then get your quotes right Steve. If you were referring to the 700 Club, then quote that part. Besides the people at the 700 Club ARE Christians.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
